contracts was essentially a retelling of the first game but set during blood money. it was made because codename 47 had performance and graphical issues on console so they made contracts.
Every mission in contracts are like memories of the time of codename 47 except first and last mission. They are based on time between codename 47 and silent assasin.

And here I thought I was the only one that thought Hitman: Contracts was the best one in the entire series. The much-needed improvements to the AI were very welcome to me in Blood Money, though.
Definitely the newest black sheep of the Hitman family. It used to be contracts which is my favorite for being the most noirish and horror movie esque. Every mission takes place in the rain because 47 is dying from a gunshot wound in the rain for most of that game and just recalling his life, and finishes his current “failed” mission in the finale. Absolution was when the franchise was bought by Square Enix. And to be honest it sounds like it was almost botched because it was nearly a generic action game but halfway through they were reminded. So that’s why we get kind of a “weird” feeling storywise. 47 wrestling, pulling off his mask in front of a crowd, and killing a guy, sexy nun attacks, and the goofiest villains in any of the game’s history. Lack of quick saves were admittedly lame though, I got it on the PC on the last steam sale so hopefully there’s an option/patch.
I hate the old ass mechanics and AI lol. Also no hiding bodies and human shields. Also bullet velocity is as slow as a fucking bb gun. Contracts and Up were way better. This game is nostalgic but not as good as newer games.
***** Yaa everyone says that blood money is the best (Don't Get me wrong I LOVE ALL THE HITMAN GAMES!!!) But i perfer Contracts because... That was the first game i've played and since i grew in love! I love Hitman since i was 5 Years OLD!!! (Yaa when i was that age i didn't knew what i was doing but when i was 8 found out that his name was 47 and from that day forward i was interested in the storyline... and now i am 14... And still a HUGE Fan Of 47) -Leo
I recently finished Blood Money and so far i like the mission in Chili where you need to kill a druglord and his son, and the one in France (Curtains Down) where you have to kill an Opera singer and some U.S. dude that adores him for some reason. All other missions are also great!
That's the BEST hitman Storyline in the entire TH-cam. Straight to the point and withought any bullshit added in. Man I wish the games had made this story much more clear cuz its a great story but we all failed to keep up with it... I have played Hitman games all my life over and over again, but now its the 1st time that I actually understand wtf is going on... I never knew the story behind Victoria and this actually makes Absolution to make perfect sense now... Now that the 3 new games of Hitman have been made, I hope for this video to include these games as well!
I feel like a good story for this series would be Team Fortress/Team Fortress 2. The lore and comics behind the game are pretty extensive and get confusing at times. I think this channel would knock that story out of the park.
Actually my favorite part is Silent Assassin, it was a huge step forward from the first game, the story was great, the locations all over the world were great and memorable but the best thing is stealth gameplay, it was much more "manual" than lets say Blood Money, you didnt have fancy poisons, accidents or pushing people over the fence or hiding bodies, instead you had to make your way through the guards with very simple, limited things - your sneaking (which was extremely slow, unlike later games where you literally sneak as fast as you run), disguises (much easier to get blown) and chloroform (which lasts only 5 minutes, if you cant get in and out in 5 mins, you fail) and finally you get to your target and strangle him with fiber wire. I am not saying Blood Money is not a better game, I am just saying its 100 times easier to get Silent Assassin rating (which is the point of the game, at least for me) then in the second part (I mean gl getting the rating on Japan missions, its fucking art)
contracts, Blood money and absolution's my fav hitman games. my favorite mission are. Traditions of the Trade, Shaving lenny, Attack of the saints, And suburbia mission in Blood money. i cant remember the level on the top of my head.

+TheTiGeR792 Yeah, didnt like the lack of choice in absolution either. I did however find the stealth to be good (by that i mean nothing really lacking in its system) and i found the story to be interesting as well
***** yeah, i never played splinter cell so i'll have to take your word on it. Although, isnt splinter cell supposed to be some next level stealth game or something?
ikr...the difficulty in this game isn't present anymore in any Hitman game (for good reasons though). Still, Silent Assassin is by far my best. Invitation to a Party, the desert, suprise meet with your clone...the days man!
The Christmas mission is one of my favorites. The ability to just off one of the targets from the word go is kinda hilarious. Who builds a hot tub with a glass floor that gives a hazy view hundreds of feet down into death?
Played almost every Hitman and I must say, brilliant! Because of this video I understood the whole story and what happened in Hitman: agent 47 + Hitman 2: silent assassin before blood money
My favorite blood money mission would either have to be deal with the devil, because the scenery is so awesome. Or the one in the rehab facility. My least favorite is the one at the party by the harbor

What many ppl dont understand is that first part of Hitman Blood Money takes place before Contracts. "He purchases a nuclear warhead from the black market" Because yeah you can totally just go out and buy a weapon of mass destruction. Same day shipping and everything.
My favorite mission was in the Rehabilitation center. The most memorable kill (in term of timing) happened there. You needed to kill 1 target, wich generaly is randomised between 3 possibilities and will only be revealed after you saved someone from the detention ward. So I kill 1 with his own weight at the workbench, poison the stashed alcohol of another (guess what he's there for), and sabotage the propane tank of the third one's personal BBQ. THEN I decide to go save my final target. DURING the diologue with the target I must save, I hear the guy mention who my futur victim is supposed, wich is the BBQ guy. But at the EXACT same time he finish his sentence, I hear a loud *BOOM*, the objectives gets immediatly checked and I hear 47 just said *done* as in its a deal but you get how it sounded. By that point I just had to give him the fake poison and walk out of there. Timing was unforceen but awesome.
The best part in blood money is totally the scene at the funeral where he kills everyone in the franchise while Ave Maria plays its so glorious brutal
Ben Kenobi it literally takes stealth and throws it out the window though
My Brother though 47 was just dead so he did nothing and let imself burried

Hitman Contracts was the best title ever. its atmosphere and the mission "Traditions of the Trade" never ceases to amaze me
47 himself doesn't escape the asylum, he is secretly allowed to (Ort opens all the doors)
Yeah, It even showed that in the training level to Codename 47 Ort Meyer letting him out don't know how these guys missed that
And here I thought I was the only one that thought Hitman: Contracts was the best one in the entire series. The much-needed improvements to the AI were very welcome to me in Blood Money, though.
More than the half of the missions of Hitman: Contracts are remakes of Hitman Codename 47 missions.
BFFs Engineer But Traditions of the Trade from Hitman Codename 47.And it is better in this one
Blood money is the best. I like how they didn't show Diana's face
They actually did at the end

But at the EXACT same time he finish his sentence, I hear a loud *BOOM*, the objectives gets immediatly checked and I hear 47 just said *done* as in its a deal but you get how it sounded. By that point I just had to give him the fake poison and walk out of there. Timing was unforceen but awesome.
Dance with devil is my favourite mission
My fave mission from blood money is the wedding one so tricky but fun to mess with people on that one.
