Fishing for Big Urban Carp in the Tidal Basin!

In this episode I go fishing for big urban carp in the tidal basin. It was a beautiful fall morning; it was perfect for fishing with a friend. We started our day early and were rewarded with a couple of beautiful carp. I somehow managed to catch a new personal best weight for carp. I am two years into carp fishing, and I am really enjoying chasing after these beasts!

Nicely done. That place is magical and one of my favorite places ever to fish. I may go back there this week after watching this video. Did you know that there was a 57# Common caught there in the late 80s?!

Thank you! And tbh that reservoir it’s so big my best advice is to pick a spot and bait up consistently. I haven’t had much luck by the damn. Mostly the norther shallow areas

@@Jonalexxx thanks any pike lures you reccomned i caught one there on a deep diving crank last week just trying to find more lures

@@Skap91 honestly I have caught pike there while fishing for bass. So most moving bass lures will catch you bass. I have personally have had the most pike in jerkbaits and swimbaits, but caught my biggest on a tiny 1/8 once jighead with a tiny 2 inch swimbait. So they will surprise you.
