    Whoa, bold move there Linc... we’re bringing back “Whazzzzzuuuuppppp” now are we? Very interesting information or rather lack of information on the creator. That’s pretty cool. I’m not going to lie that’s giving them a bit of a mystique to them in my lizard brain.

    I've found different answers to the question, hopefully you can chime in: pre-mix the whole bottle, or just mix what you need?

    • @PaintonPlasticbyLincolnWright
      @PaintonPlasticbyLincolnWright  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Eric 👋 Ready, question with a question! How do you plan to use your paint? As you’ll see in my videos and books, I both airbrush and hand brush with these so only use what I need each time. 👍

      @opsimathics 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Prediluting the whole bottle has the advantage that you're not watching the solvent on the undiluted just dry away with time. It buys you lasting shelf life.

    Hey Linc, question if you can. The moderate self leveling t-07 is not available in my parts. However, i have plenty of t-01 and also have the t-08 which i believe is just straight retardant. My question is, what would be a good ratio if I were to mix the two? I assume it would be the equivalent of t-07? Thank you sensei 🙏🏼 ...a sidenote, what do you think of the new nickel plated silver vs the mirror chrome?

    • @PaintonPlasticbyLincolnWright
      @PaintonPlasticbyLincolnWright  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Let me ask them, I have never done it myself because I've had access to t-07. As for the metallics, still testing them and will be back once I have more experience and show them off + review. ^

      Ok, have our answer back. Gaia dudes have been at a show over in Osaka. The offical word is that T-06/07 = T-01 add T-08 20% for air and hand brush. Boom!

    so im interested in buying some gaianotes paint but i find it confusing with all there different labels and so little english info. for example there gaia ex theres gaia premium, gaia nazca, gaia color, there evo surfacer which i guess is like a primer?, there enamels/texture pigments, there nerv eva line... and so many more. are the nerv /frame arms/ the same paint and just different color suggestions and what about premium and ex..

    Hi linc, if you somehow read this comment i hope you can answer my question.
    I'm new to airbrushing and I'm thinking of using Gaia EX-04 as a final matte coat for my kit, which thinner should i use? can i use t-01? because t-07h is not available, and what about thinner ratio? same as the paints? 1:1.5?
    Thank you!

    • @PaintonPlasticbyLincolnWright
      @PaintonPlasticbyLincolnWright  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For the clear coats I am now using T-06 and start with a ratio of close to 1:1 but 1:1.5 clear thinner works too. Good luck!

    Im from Costa Rica, I stumbled upon them because a chinese importer brought them in and I love them, from the paints to the solvents that they sell, a little bit on the expensive side, when you try to bring them in from the us though from what I can see

      Were you what I call a "Vallejo victim"? I see it happen enough to hypothesize that it'll happen at some point to every Vallejo user. And the Vallejo Victim script often goes like this...
      One you're using it just like you have before, but this time, something happens. It sprays inconsistently, it doesn't stick, it peels, it wrinkles, it does something.. Something you don't expect, and you're left with no explanation as to why.

      No, need a respirator with an organic vapour filter and a particulate filter. The fumes will just go straight through the n95 and will destroy your lungs

    Hey Lincoln! I was wondering if you could help me out (or anyone). I've been painting my Gaia clear purple and although I've used the same ratio of 1 paint : 1.5 thinner as I do to all, I've been seeing that it's way too thinned compared to my other paint and I don't know what to do about it. I even bought more paint to get more paint in the mix but it still is way too thinned for use on my kits.

    • @PaintonPlasticbyLincolnWright

      was the 1:1 ratio successful? I have seen many people recommend 1:1.5 as the golden ratio of sorts for all gaia paints, but after researching i'm seeing more variation, with anywhere from 2-3:1 thinner to paint, which seems too high to me

    Once again most interesting. I ordered some of their paints from Taiwan - not really local to me. Have not tried them yet. I am a little confused by the different ranges they offer. Is it just a marketing thing or why do they split up their range into different shapes of bottles and titles??? Can you please comment on that??? Thank you very much - great video

    Hi, can I ask a question? What base is this paint? Lacquer or enamel? I tried to google and found out that it should be a lacquer base. However when I tried to wipe a gundam marker paint (which should be enamel) on top of the gaianotes paint using enamel thinner, the gaia notes were wiped out. I’m confused, since what I understand that enamel thinner cannot remove a lacquer paint.
