So I had this strange dream. I was taking a nap during the day, and a woman appeared to me, I was told this woman was my protector. I saw a bright Gold coin, and a woman with the name ATHENA. I had a dream that I should look up Athena, in my dream I found videos of her online. While most of Athena's attributes are admirable I for one don't care too much of her treatments of Arachnie and especially Medusa. Given that Arachnie was a bragger she should've been given a lighter punishment, like having her weaving ability taken away until she humbled herself. Medusa, however, was an innocent victim of a vengeful deity and should've been given some form of restitution even with that time's stigma about women being considered less than second class citizens.
What I don’t understand about Athena is that she had all this fight and strategy to her when it came to fighting along side Zeus or standing up to Poseidon when it came to claiming Athens for herself, but when it came to protecting her priestess of her temple (You know, the one job she has) she didn’t help her. As a matter of fact, she exercised her petty jealousy because the towns people were starting to say Medusa was more beautiful than Athena. She was jealous. Plains and simple. Jealousy is a human trait, to me she wasn’t a goddess but instead a wicked witch with a powerful daddy 😒 I said what I said.
If you know anything about the Greek Gods is that they are willing to be jealous, brutal, etc at times. Athena punishing Medusa was a much later text by the Romans not original Greek mythos. Its also interesting that, it can be seen that what Athena did was protect Medusa from men for the rest of her life.
