Such a beautiful jar. I'm going to give this one a try. I have a protection jar with salt and a black tourmaline and another with tourmaline and clear quartz.
Black tourmaline is one of my favorites! I love how gentle and grounding it feels. Yet its so strong and able to purify even the most negativee emotions. I use them alot in a crystal grids set to be an energy filter for a bedroom or something. Black tournmaline, flourite, and quartz just resonate together for me, so that's usually my set up.
From one hedgewitch to another great vid! Also, you rocken that purple! One of my main go to protection mixtures is salt, lavender, and egg shell. The egg shell is extra healing. I also use dried blueberries for home protection specifically.

Thank you so much! I worked very hard on this one 💜 I get my rowan berries on etsy, actually I get alot of my herbs from etsy now that I think about it. They have good prices for not only bulk herbs, but crystals too. I also found rowan stick crosses on there too, they are an old celtic method of protection against fairies. People would carry them in their pockets and even tie them to live stock. I keep a couple on hand to work with.

Oh thank you! Spirit work is so serious and hopefully I can help people understand that this takes alot of preparation and caution. I never want to be discouraging but I will be serious when need be. I would say charge once a month, and maybe if you start to feel disconnected from the bottle then it would need to be remade. I make my spell bottles infinitely rechargable. There are some that I sort of moved on from and disassembled but moonlight goes a long way. The quartz really holds that stored energy for a hot minutes.
I've been thinking about getting a little into witchcraft and am trying to do as much research as I can before starting, which brings me to my question: do you think that colored candles/sigils and the like can be interchangeable as long as they carry a specific meaning to you? I hear some witches say you can create your own spells as long as you're clear with your intentions, but there's also so much lore on specific meanings for certain items
You can absolutely create your own sigils and weave your own intentions within the symbol. Sigils were originally used for summoning different spirits. So it is a really good idea to study "The Lesser Key of Solomon" or some medieval necromancy grimoires. I do have some thoughts on the "Intention is everything" approach to magick. A clear and focused intention is crucial for a successful spell. However this seems to be a new approach to what is known as "Natural Magick" which is basically magick that comes from us, vs the magick that comes from a spirit familiar. I believe that natural materia, and more importantly the energies of which, do actually play a part in magick. The Emerald tablet gave us the line "As above, So Below", and personally I think this is a very literal statement. Everything physical is also energy. So using candle color as an example, we know that color is electromagnetic waves of light. In occult studies we are taught that colors have metaphysical properties. So I take the assumption that the difference in energy between colors in the physical, correspondes to a difference in metaphysical properties. I think its important to take into consideration the physical laws of color as well. There are complimentary colors, which are colors opposite on the color wheel, like yellow and purple. Complimentary colors nuetralize eachother. So say I have a spell to empower my crown chakra, which calls for a purple candle, but I charge up a yellow one instead. My natural understanding of "Below" (physical color theory), would lead me to infer that because yellow cancels out purple tones, it would cancel out that metaphysical energy too. When we take a look at ancient magick, things like color were very important. In the Greek Magickal Papyri we see and for somewhat ambiguous reason, spells say "Don't use a red lantern". So my thoughts are; definitely create your own spells, you absolutely can. However it's my opinion that the process isn't completely freeform or completely based on intention. All the tools/ingredients in a spell are basically raw energetic material that we take and mash with other energies. At that point it's the intention that configures these raw energies, thus giving them purpose and direction. Magick can be done with or without ingredients, but if you choose to do magick with ingredients they do have important purpose. I know this was super long but I hope this helps!
It can't hurt to reinforce the intention every once in a while. I'd say charge the bottle whenever you feel it necessary. I just go by intuition and situation. If you feel like the bottle is getting dim give it a charge. Or if you know you'll be in contact with spirits it can help to charge the bottle before the contact ritual.
I feel as though i have a spirit around me but i can never seem to connect with it. Ive tried to meditate to open myself but i cant seem to do that right either. 😕

Do you truly believe that, even though you've said nothing offensive, the weather god would be so offended that they would punish everyone else in your vicinity with a worse storm? In other words, what you're saying is that if the weather god is giving you more of what you said you love, you believe that is a punishment that you need to apologize for. I'm sorry, I'm really not trying to be offensive, but you might want to apply logic and and think through things like this step by step, instead of jumping to a conclusion that isn't supported by any kind of logic that I can follow.
Hello Gianna, I just found you and have a question. I have not had a chance to go through your TH-cam library yet so I thought I would just ask. Do you work with Servitors? If so what are your thoughts?
I haven't made a video on servitors...yet, lol. They have been a part of my practice, just not recently. I was hyperfixated on servitors for a while. My thoughts? Well, I found that getting a servitor to form is honestly a lot of work, but it's definitely worth the effort. They fell out of my practice simply because I never wanted to make "too many." They are a part of you, and I don't love the idea of fragmenting energy too many times. If you'd like to pick my brain on some specifics to due with servitors, feel free.
I have a general question about salt. I worry about using things like salted nuts in my offering or anything else that has actual salt on it. I dont worry so much about items that have salt as an ingredient for the spirits I give offerings to - for example. Cheese or a home baked cookie. Do you think food offerings that are seasoned with straight up salt are okay for offerings? ( since I'm not dealing with any "bad" spirits .... hopefully haha)
I actually feel exactly the same way. I try not to give super salty foods, because it seems rude to me even if it doesn't hurt them. A little bit of salt in a recipe is no big deal, or at least, I have never had a problem with it. I know there are recipes for offering cakes and baked goods that exclude salt. I think spirits recognize the extra love. Some spirits might be more adverse than others, like salt and demons don't mix. Some fae don't like salt yet other fae live in the salty ocean. So it really comes down to asking the spirits you are working with and seeing what is ok for them.
You can find rowan berries online if you like. I get mine from etsy. Or you could do the spell without them. They are a powerful addition due to their protective qualities, but they aren't a requirement. Another idea I have is writing the ogham for rowan on a paper and putting that in the jar.
For my alter I have an amethyst stone, and 2 black obsidian skulls, along with an incense holder , jar of moon water, a salt jar, a wand, and a white quartz charging bowl so I'm safe and my friends are safe as well. It's so cool to see and learn from your channel you're an amazing witch and I absolutely love your content. Blessed be my friend🖤💜❤💜🖤❤

Casting a circle can be done in alot of different ways and I suggest checking out a few to see what way works best for you. I personally like walking the circle 3 times going in a clockwise direction. On the first go around I call the guardians of the directions. The next two rounds I simply walk and cement my circle in my minds eye. Usually by visualizing and energetic circle or boarder. When ive finished my magical workings I like to release the circle by walking 3 times counter clock-wise. On the first go around I bid the guardians farewell and thank them for joining my circle. Then I dissipate the circle with the next 2 go arounds.
