Thankfully, God said, "I will not abandon you." And, he didn't.............

The soldiers deserve all the respect of the nation, it's because of them that everyone else gets the comfort of sleeping in their comfy beds, instead of jungles full of savage enemy that want not just to kill you, but to torture you too. When my time comes, we shall meet in Valhalla, and drink to the battles we have fought.
Willem Dafoe, a generational talent in acting, and intellectually so sharp; but I can't help but feel he is an exceptionally mature looking 31 year old man. He looks about early to mid 40 years old. Like this comment if you agree.
great resonating voice he has; yes Richard Wydmark !!,one of my fav, both of them are versatile : heavies, heroes, lead or second role, love those non typecasted actors like Mitchum and Ryan ,Brennan or Oliver Reed.
Always felt Eric Masters and SSG Elias personalities were similar. Yes one was bad and one was for good. Both were men were meticulous and detail oriented, driven by being an example of unique circumstance rivaling the norm. Maybe it was Dafoe's personality injected into them.

He’s a fascinating actor and quite humble in person. Definitely one of my favorite actors.

i was in 2 infantry units in the 80's 172d inf bde, and the 9th inf div.glad u made it back to " the world"!
