Ive seen these demos in person and they are GREAT, something I find very interesting personally, you can hear a loud "THUD" as they pull back suddenly from the strafe run, another reason to go watch them live.
I live close to martin state air port in md. I get to see these awsome machines quite often. I just love watching these planes fly. and the scream of those fans is music to my ears.
I can see how you would think that, but that is the A-10 cockpit. The camera lens is very wide and sitting very close to the pilot (Paul Brown) causing it to distort the wings and block the view of the engines. The footage is synced so you can match the action inside and out.
@szerszen22 You can see the speedbrakes. Look for example beginning of video at vertical roll. Clear speedbrake use. Also in the external view you can see it couple of times.
@coolyo366 No I don't think so, It's something that requires 100% focus at all times. The audio is from someone on the ground, not the pilot in the A-10 :)
@Callabris The A-10 is an awesome machine and I have seen her great performance on some airshows but I unfortunately never had the opportunity to be in a A-10 Cockpit, so I can't contradict. But it's hard to believe because of the strange view angle and I would have expected at least to see the rudders. But as I've written before, the A-10 is fantastic and I love her performance! ! !
mmh? . . . the 2 videos are quite synchronous and probably the fisheye perspective gave the wings the sweep . . . it's a great performance anyway but also a pity that there is no clear sign, that this is the cockpit of a A-10. So what . . . an A-10 is always an awesome tank-buster. Thanks for posting 8-)
@labsun have you ever actually been in an A-10 to know this? What makes you an expert. FYI that cockpit View is correct. You don't see the engines from the viewpoint of the camera and the wings get a bit distorted by the camera lens and cockpit. It's the real deal dude.
Thats why its called the titanium bathtub because it can withstand more of a beating than any other fighter or attack aircraft... its no raptor but in the hands of a good pilot... i think it would be fine
Nice action from a Warthog and pretty nice cut but for my opinion the cockpit view isn't the view of an A-10 The engines in the back can't be seen and the shape of the wings are totally wrong. This video shows two different planes.
My friend also made a comment about how that wasn't an A-10 cockpit and I don't understand. 1. How do you not realize that its a wide angle lens? 2. Basic reasoning should tell you otherwise. a. That's obviously and Air Force pilot due to the helmet, the combat edge mask, and the wings sure aren't navy. That being the case one can conclude that he's flying an Air Force jet. b. What other jet in the Air Force inventory has that level of maneuverability but has a wing chord that short?
I wonder wheter he had to extend speedbrakes to achive 200 degrees per second roll rate as I couldnt see it... I think without 20% extended speedbrakes roll rate is a bit slower...
When you see a shark face looking at you from the sky and smoke coming out of it's mouth... just stand there and close your eyes... no point even try to run.... it's the A10. oh and if you survive, which you won't you MIGHT just hear the BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR ;) cause the supersonic bullets would reach you before the sound :P
5:15 damn, imagine if you were an American-born person of Arabic decent, just going out to watch the air show with your family...and you heard that. lol
This dudes not flying an A-10......not even close. Since when does the A-10 have swept wings? And where`s the split tail rudders and the over size engines that can easily be seen from this cockpit view ??
Seen a demo of the A-10 recently, and I fell in love with the plane.
Ive seen these demos in person and they are GREAT, something I find very interesting personally, you can hear a loud "THUD" as they pull back suddenly from the strafe run, another reason to go watch them live.

love the double cam. makes you feel like you're there. thx
The A-10 has always been one of my most favorite air crafts... mostly for its primary gun.
Still training to work on these babies but I'm heading to Davis-Monthan AZ soon. Can't wait.

These cockpit cams are very cool, thanks for sharing :)
I was at this show. This a-10 was the best one there. gotta love the sound of those turbine engines.
I love the spit screen nice video. I love United States military demo teams.
@szerszen22 You can see the speedbrakes. Look for example beginning of video at vertical roll. Clear speedbrake use. Also in the external view you can see it couple of times.
Great video. God I love the A-10 and everything it stands for.
GREAT VIDEO & PRODUCTION!!
You can totally tell how out of breath he is when he speaks during the slows-speed pass. Awesome!
YES it is, only reason why the wings look swept is because of the canopy. ailerons and the bomb/missile rails are from the A-10(telltale signs).
@OmeGa114196 Fisheye lens adds peripheral field of view at the expense of the center of the field. The engines are behind the pilots shoulders.
Its amazing that Dice has got the EXACT same sound in Battlefield. Its like completely the same!
@coolyo366
No I don't think so, It's something that requires 100% focus at all times. The audio is from someone on the ground, not the pilot in the A-10 :)
@popsflying
Compare the movements of the aircraft and the movements of the rudders.
It is an A-10, the camrea has just a Very wide lens.
It's not the lens. It's the low position of the camera. At 2:39 you see the engine above his right shoulder.

Harb is a BEAST!
Excellent Video, Thank you so much for sharing :)
excellent video!
@adam95s They are not, they are upgrading them now to the A-10C standard!
mmh? . . . the 2 videos are quite synchronous and probably the fisheye perspective gave the wings the sweep . . . it's a great performance anyway but also a pity that there is no clear sign, that this is the cockpit of a A-10. Thanks
Nobody flies the Warthog like Harb! Badass!
Great video.
Just read up more on this thing; gun fires 65 rounds per second of depleted uranium shells.
The canopy's shape causes a distortion of light giving it the look of a fish eye lens
agreed you should at least be able to see the vertical tails and possibly the engines, although the engines do sit pretty low
Wing flex and yes the camera angle but the wings are pointed up a little and angled back a little.
The commentator is Bobby Williams from Jackson, Ohio

can the pilots hear the narration and music over the radio during the demo?
i love this plane!
Yeah! A-10 west demo team!!
Davis-Monthan AFB for the win!!
Looks like fun.
Thats why its called the titanium bathtub because it can withstand more of a beating than any other fighter or attack aircraft... its no raptor but in the hands of a good pilot... i think it would be fine
harness seems a bit loose in the cockpit. should he be moving around that much?
I think it might be refraction from the curved canopy glass?
Way to go Harb!

Awesome
Awesome A-10. I hope the AF Brass does not moth-ball the 10.
is the video lens causing it to look that way....

Well yeah but its usually supported by F-15's or F-16's and it flies in flights of 2-4 A-10's.
@bluecat400 How you come to that conclusion?
0:46 you actually can see one of the rudders over his shoulder
Strange.. i can not see the engines in the back.
Long live the A-10 WARTHOG
damn that thing carries quite allot of weaponry... not to mention its cannon can rip rite through a tank, hens its nickname "tank buster"
@pacrat90 I ment nothinj to compeat with it.
What is the backgroud music?
Pilot View is Not an A-10. Swept wings?
If its so awesome and amazing, why is the U.S. going to put it out of service?
The cockpit video is not from an A-10
Look at the ailerons! no other airplane has that type of aileron.
Damn good stuff. 11 weapons pylons underwings to really pour on the hate!
damn Sir...you look really busy...!
I wonder wheter he had to extend speedbrakes to achive 200 degrees per second roll rate as I couldnt see it... I think without 20% extended speedbrakes roll rate is a bit slower...
@BlackAces100 its a CAS plane
i mean it almost looks like a f-86 with the single wing mounts although it isnt very metallic
@labsun Very true
Try with facebook!
Also did he say, he's see's some taliban on the airfield??
"...demonstrating the Warthog's power..." :D
@bluecat400 what? Of course it is
@bluecat400
Tell everyone why that is,because i see an A-10 here.
check his head turning read at negative g xD
I watched until 3:00 and asked "where is the A-10?"
He's going to need a shower after that. Hell, I need a shower after that XD
When you see a shark face looking at you from the sky and smoke coming out of it's mouth...
just stand there and close your eyes...
no point even try to run.... it's the A10.
oh and if you survive, which you won't you MIGHT just hear the BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR ;)

5:15
damn, imagine if you were an American-born person of Arabic decent, just going out to watch the air show with your family...and you heard that.
lol
I wish the commentator would tell us the name of the pilot! haha
oh i see now
Camera angle. Its def a -10
Ever hear of a fish-eye lens?
Is he Major Brown because he shat himself?
I wish they wouldn't put in the cheesy music and comments... Would of loved to have just heard the plane. Great video though
As a Muslim, I agree with you 100%
Russia ain't got nothin on this plane. The A-10 owns.
@bluecat400 lol your a funny guy.....
This dudes not flying an A-10......not even close. Since when does the A-10 have swept wings? And where`s the split tail rudders and the over size engines that can easily be seen from this cockpit view ??
It's not a fighter jet, so it couldn't be intercepted by another fighter jet.
PEDANT ATTACK.
@yoyoyoyoshua
Why would russia want anything on this plane? Russia and the US are not at war...
come on now dont say Allah have respect
too bad we can;t eliminate the tacky carnival barking voice....."step right uuuuuuuuup!"
