I am also extremely proud to say my wife and I have both met Johnie and his lovely wife. They adopted their exceptionally beautiful and talented Rat Terrier Snow Dulce from us. They will be returning stateside at the beginning of the year. All three of them are loved by so many that have never even met them.
@icomethird No... the only time you get that feeling (which I don't even seem to get anymore... oh well) is when you push over on the stick to approx 0 G. During a loop, you typically pull between 4-5 Gs during the initial portion. Then the G loads lighten as you go over the top (because your airspeed is much slower). Then the Gs increase again towards the bottom as the airspeed increases.
This video was taken during Major Green's performance at an air show. The explosion on the ground at 10:58 was purposely set off by a pyrotechnics crew on the ground to simulate a bomb dropping from the jet.
This is what I am hoping to do. I plan on going into the USAF Academy and then get a pilot slot, hopefully for the A-10, if they still have them when I get in. But heck, I'd take anything that the Air Force has: F-22, F-35, F-15, F-16, A-10, C-130 (And all of it's cousins) C-17, C-5, C-27, V-22, B-1, B-2, F-117, U-2, whatever they find for me, I'll take it!
Sad to see these amazing "common sense" aircraft being scuttled. It's hard for me to believe that something so lethal and strong could be dismissed by our armed forces. In my mind ( I am not a pilot) this has to be one of the single greatest aircraft to have ever defended the Stars & Bars. I wish I could afford one of my own to stand in front of my house as reminder of "No Quarter"

Man they are so precise with their stick. I love when he is in a roll and just stops perfectly level. Just looks like it sticks there
Thank you Major.
ive always wanted to fly FA 18's off carriers, but my god this plane looks even more amazing..

besides the hissing, it's sounds surprisingly quite in the cockpit.

This is beautiful. I wish I had followed my dream...

Eric Fox and are u a pilot now?
@spartenurmom i have. i got to put my hand on one at an airshow. they're amazing
If you watch the engines in the back you can actually see how much the planes airframe bends when he pull some g's!
I knew Major Green, he was cool as hell. You say he went to Korea?
What a plane, nothing like it anywhere. The pilot must have been sad that this was his last flight.
@TheGnomelandSecurity Are you aiming to pilot an A-10?
There is some explosion on the ground at 10:58 ?? Plane crash ?
@Agora2021 Funny you say that... seems like somewhere around 1/3 of the guys in my squadron are bald.
yes.
the control surfaces look like he's using lots of brakes. also 10 sec upside rule broken? Kidding :D
finally no music!!!
nice aircraft
@RuleOfEngagement your videos are awesome, sorry I know that was random.
I miss flying the Hog.
@7:21 what is that smoke?
@gpgoss They do wear g suits but their tolerance requirements aren't as high.
the black smoke?????
Try to searching this DCS A-10C - A-10 West Demo by FCS_Heater
Cool
What's this pilots name
I've sat in his plane :D you know the one in the video haha.
FINALLY!!! Take a lesson people.
Aww, I wanted to see the base crew spray water on him!
do they ware G Suits??
@skipplet
They made the right choice.
that pilot may be happy that he flys a 10 whish you were here a 10
What a pilot. God Bless the United States!
It doesn't climb like an F-15, but I like it.
Do a barrel role!
@rolfen Nothing climbs like an F-15, not even the 5th Gen fighters.
@TheGnomelandSecurity Good luck.
@metaknight95 You should see the gun on the nose of the plane.. TH-cam it.
What the... if I tried to do this in DCS I would crash and burn. I suck!
12:10 Speedbrake says goodbye
his job is a lot of work...
I would give the hair on my head for his job. I would willingly go bald.

Military pilots are all pros. Just sayin :)
Video would have been much better facing forward instead of at the pilot .....fools!
