I absolutely love the way you put in the massively tedious effort of making your tang’s fitting into the overall handle SUPER tight. That’s a solid, SOLID knife.
Great job. In the original leuku, the angle of the blade is steeper, which prevents the blade from chipping, for example, when chopping bones and frozen wood. In newer industrially produced leukus, the blade is similar to this.
@@HectorMedina-wk5dl Thank you! It's called a handle broach, they are sold in many places online and it's also easy to make one from a jigsaw blade for example

I'm giving away a puukko knife on my instagram! The giveaway will run until 9th of december. Check it out here: instagram.com/mlcustomknives/?hl=fi This is my first time filming in my current shop and there is quite a lot of flickering in the video and the lighting is pretty bad overall but that will hopefully be changed before I film again
Onko kahvan luu hirven sarvea?
@@phils8393 Hi, thank you. Antler is an extremely strong material and very traditional on leukus. I wouldn't be worried about it's strenght on a leuku.

Absolutely beautiful blade...
thats art work right there
Superb. Did you seal the antler with anything, I know it can be quite porous. Take care, Eddie.
Thank you. I apply some beeswax/linseed oil mix which finishes it up very well
Very Beautiful knife! Was curious though what type of tool did you use to notch the handle material for the hidden tang?

What oven are you using? Homemade?
Hi , fantastic video, I was wondering how strong is the antler bolster ? Is it impact resistant for chopping and battoning ect ect
Thankyou
