I have a 2017 Ford fusion with the push button start, and only one key fob. My dumb, curious-self activated my-key four years ago when I bought the car. I bought this OBD2 device last year, and never had any luck with it. I could never get to the "click" part before the connection was lost. So It sat in my desk drawer for a year. BUT!!! I randomly tried it again today for laughs, and it worked!!! After 4 years, I am now able to go over 80mph! (Not going to lie, I got it up to 105 for a few seconds!) It's nice to be able to hear the radio with the windows open too!!! This is the most excited if been in a while! Thanks for making this possible!
After searching forever, reading posts, and watching Videos, I could remove the MyKey messages and volume issue but not the actual speed limitation. And then I came across your method of doing things using the ForScan. It worked like a magic. Thank you so much. In the case of my car, I used it on. It was a 2016 Lincoln Mkc.
You don’t have to turn the MyKey feature on. It’s when you need to remove the MyKey settings from your car. You need an OBD II device which is compatible with the ForScan and a laptop or phone.

I wish I would have seen this 3 years ago. I didn't reset anything. I Cranked the car up and got out. Walked my key down the parking lot to my other car. Got back in the car, the message came up. Reached over, opened and closed the passenger door. Cut the car off, took my foot off the brake and hit the push button. It looked for the key and just like you said, it let me reset the options. Great video and I'm thankful.

Bro!!!! This worked! 2015 f150 but i threw my key out the window open and shut the door then turned off then turned the truck on and i had full access!
Just did this today on my 2018 Mustang GT and it worked! Ine thing to note: I tried using the app like shown in the video and could not get it to work at all. I downloaded the ForScan tool onto my laptop, and connected my laptop to the bluetooth OBD scanner. The ForScan has the same PCM test on it. I ran the PCM test, and while the test was running, had my brother walk away from the car holding my key. Once the test was over, I turned the car off, and turned it back on without the engine. Following the same process in the video i was able to reset my only key as an admin key.

This worked like a charm. I was by myself so while it was testing I rolled down my window threw my key out the window about 8 feet and it was about to work. May make a video on the forscan way.
I have a 16GT as well and haven’t had any luck. I do all the instructions but when it comes to powering on the car without the key (no engine) it still shows the mykey restrictions. Any suggestions?
This is awesome information. I have been looking for months on how to get around this. Two things? First can I get the link for the bluetooth piece from Amazon or wherever? Second I have a 2011 Explorer and it still takes a key to start and I only have one key which is restricted. If you find out anything on fixing that please pass along. Chris Petty I received mine yesterday ordered it November 21st. It never said it was shipped or anything and I messaged him through TH-cam, email and Facebook got nothing back. Unfortunately I can’t get it to work for my vehicle because once it blinks the my key option is gone... still hopeful to hear something back...
Any ideas as to what to do about the same problem with a F150 that has a my key that has to be inserted into the ignition traditionally? Obviously you cannot walk away with the key that’s keeping the truck running

I just left the dealership and they stated the MyKey can't be reset without the other key. I ordered the product in your description however, the App is stating it's on old Android version and won't let me download. Is there a newer Android App I can use?
That's where I'm at, I was able to download the older version but after clicking KOER it just keeps saying to make sure the engine is running. Tried it with the car on & engine on with no luck
You can also just sit in your vehicle if you have remote start. Start your vehicle with remote start. Once you have it started it gives you access to the mykey functions.
Hey there Rob thanks for the vid. 2 questions first: I only have one key when I purchased the vehicle (2013 focus see) which is NOT a fob just a regular valet key will it work second: this particular model has had radio problems and now my radio went even turn on and clock usually won't even show so Bluetooth is or or the question I'm pretty sure in your bitter you mentioned the adapter so that I won't have to use Bluetooth will I be able to get this mykey feature off
I have not been able to attempt this on a vehicle that has an actual key. I imagine that once you use the device to bypass the system you should still be able to block the fob part of the key and then access the menu to erase the mykey but this will be up to you to trial and error so to speak since I don't have a vehicle to do so on. I believe your 2nd question has to do with the bluetooth. You do not need to use your cars bluetooth or radio. Just the bluetooth on your phone to pair with the bluetooth Scantool. This is what will allow you to bypass the mykey and then gain access to the administrative menu that will allow it to be permanently cleared from the car to return your only key to an admin key...

To be honest...I'm not sure but I can tell you that it maintains full functionality after the modification so if you find information that says it will before it's modified then it still will afterward as well! I will say this, though, and its worth mentioning because it's often overlooked because its a out of sight, out of mind kinda thing but be sure to check your spare tire's air pressure if the lights still on after you've checked all the other tires on the vehicle because the spare tire, on vehicles with tire pressure monitors, has a monitor as well and will cause the light to come on if it's low. Another thing, if the spare has been checked, be sure you look to see what the monitoring system calls for on the spare. If its a full size spare it will likely be the same pressure but if its a donut tire then it will be a much higher pressure. @@RalphAlmeida-nw6ce Most code scanner will get you into key on engine running self test. His was a simple Bluetooth dongle he used to pair his phone with to access the pcm self test. Then simply follow the video once it initiates the self test as shown.
There are android emulators for the iphone that you can get Google Play Store on and use the same app! Currently we are developing a compatible Iphone application but don't have a completion date as of this moment! I will give update for this soon!

You would need a one device that has MS/HS chip for medium and high speed connection! You'd also need a laptop to use Focccus or Forscan to program the key to the car! There's videos on youtube on how to do this and I can get you a link on amazon for the correct device if you need?
Yes I have a question and the instructions to the my key convert back into admin key on instruction number two you said to put the key in the block and turn it on to proceed to rule number three when selection number two where that's what we're doing is relocating or resetting the key because I have no key so I cannot follow with instruction number two if I have no key or is there another option for that instruction thank you

I have 2012 focus, I have two keys, the admin key was wore out and I needed to switch the keys, I watched one of the vids on how to fix limiters, and it worked, then I did the cleared all my key so I could switch admin key, I'm the only one driving it so I really don't need any limiters. Now that I cleared the keys, both key's have limiters for volume/speed, now when I go to settings it doesn't show mykey at all🤷🏼♀️ when I go to info it shows mykey (2) one admin. How do I fix that? And get mykey back! I recently added remote start so I don't won't to affect it! TIA

When I follow the steps and go to the settings menu to clear the mykey, it disappears. Mustang 2020 eco. Then after some time it comes back! Because I couldn't clear my key

I have a 2013 ford escape its key ignition not a press button ignition. Will this still work? Dealership wants SO much for admin key. I purchased vehicle w no admin key
At the step where the key is removed for keyless, you will need to cover the physical key with aluminum foil the block the keys signal to the vehicle. You will need to start the vehicle first then cover with aluminum foil before turning the key the accessory then on but not started! At this point you'll have full admin access and the mykey menu with the option to clear mykeys available! If you need any further help just let us know and thank you!

The one listed in the description is the device you'll need and every step in the video is the same except for the removal of the key. The only thing you need to do differently is cover the key with aluminum foil to block the keys signal from the car which is the same thing you're doing when you take the key out of the car with a push to start vehicle! Worked only difference was on my friends 2013 Lincoln it never went to remote start after the we removed the fob but I powered down still didn’t say power on in 30 seconds but the rest was perfect cleared both my keys that he had

I just left the dealership and they stated the MyKey can't be reset without the other key. I ordered the product in your description however, the App is stating it's on old Android version and won't let me download. Is there a newer Android App I can use?
That's where I'm at, I was able to download the older version but after clicking KOER it just keeps saying to make sure the engine is running.

You can also just sit in your vehicle if you have remote start. Start your vehicle with remote start. Once you have it started it gives you access to the mykey functions.

Hey there Rob thanks for the vid. 2 questions first: I only have one key when I purchased the vehicle (2013 focus see) which is NOT a fob just a regular valet key will it work second: this particular model has had radio problems and now my radio went even turn on and clock usually won't even show so Bluetooth is or or the question I'm pretty sure in your bitter you mentioned the adapter so that I won't have to use Bluetooth will I be able to get this mykey feature off
I have not been able to attempt this on a vehicle that has an actual key. I imagine that once you use the device to bypass the system you should still be able to block the fob part of the key and then access the menu to erase the mykey but this will be up to you to trial and error so to speak since I don't have a vehicle to do so on. I believe your 2nd question has to do with the bluetooth. You do not need to use your cars bluetooth or radio. Just the bluetooth on your phone to pair with the bluetooth Scantool. This is what will allow you to bypass the mykey and then gain access to the administrative menu that will allow it to be permanently cleared from the car to return your only key to an admin key...

To be honest...I'm not sure but I can tell you that it maintains full functionality after the modification so if you find information that says it will before it's modified then it still will afterward as well! I will say this, though, and its worth mentioning because it's often overlooked because its a out of sight, out of mind kinda thing but be sure to check your spare tire's air pressure if the lights still on after you've checked all the other tires on the vehicle because the spare tire, on vehicles with tire pressure monitors, has a monitor as well and will cause the light to come on if it's low. Another thing, if the spare has been checked, be sure you look to see what the monitoring system calls for on the spare. If its a full size spare it will likely be the same pressure but if its a donut tire then it will be a much higher pressure. @@RalphAlmeida-nw6ce Most code scanner will get you into key on engine running self test. His was a simple Bluetooth dongle he used to pair his phone with to access the pcm self test. Then simply follow the video once it initiates the self test as shown.

You would need a one device that has MS/HS chip for medium and high speed connection! You'd also need a laptop to use Focccus or Forscan to program the key to the car! There's videos on youtube on how to do this and I can get you a link on amazon for the correct device if you need?

Yes I have a question and the instructions to the my key convert back into admin key on instruction number two you said to put the key in the block and turn it on to proceed to rule number three when selection number two where that's what we're doing is relocating or resetting the key because I have no key so I cannot follow with instruction number two if I have no key or is there another option for that instruction thank you
How did you get it to connect to the app your using?. I bought the exact same obd2 and exact same app but tells me it cannot connect to the bluedriver.
I have 2012 focus, I have two keys, the admin key was wore out and I needed to switch the keys, I watched one of the vids on how to fix limiters, and it worked, then I did the cleared all my key so I could switch admin key, I'm the only one driving it so I really don't need any limiters. Now that I cleared the keys, both key's have limiters for volume/speed, now when I go to settings it doesn't show mykey at all🤷🏼♀️ when I go to info it shows mykey (2) one admin. How do I fix that? And get mykey back! I recently added remote start so I don't won't to affect it! TIA

When I follow the steps and go to the settings menu to clear the mykey, it disappears. Mustang 2020 eco. Then after some time it comes back! Because I couldn't clear my key

At the step where the key is removed for keyless, you will need to cover the physical key with aluminum foil the block the keys signal to the vehicle. You will need to start the vehicle first then cover with aluminum foil before turning the key the accessory then on but not started! At this point you'll have full admin access and the mykey menu with the option to clear mykeys available! If you need any further help just let us know and thank you!

The one listed in the description is the device you'll need and every step in the video is the same except for the removal of the key. The only thing you need to do differently is cover the key with aluminum foil to block the keys signal from the car which is the same thing you're doing when you take the key out of the car with a push to start vehicle!
