Miss Paula, just want to say "thanks" for doing these quarantine videos for us on TH-cam!!!! Since you are no longer on that "other" tv station, I have missed watching you cook!!! Love and best dishes from my home to yours!!!!
yall.. quarantine got me on this side of you tube. i'm a 13 year old browsing you tube, i wont be making any deviled eggs anytime soon, but i watched the whole thing. honestly, lovely woman. reminds me of my grandma. :))
@oof doof That is probably the sweetest thing I've read in a long time. You get in the kitchen. 13 is the perfect age to have a great Deviled Egg recipe/skill in your back pocket. Get up and get cooking!
Just a tip. DON'T blow all over the food that others are going to eat. Or lick your fingers before handling the food again. Paula may be a darling, but she doesn't demonstrate good food handling at all.
Thanks Paula! And guys who complain about Paula unsanitary cooking to day, she is cooking at home ,enjoying herself and giving us a personal glimpse into her kitchen ... like you never licked your fingers!
6:20 Was the most adorable thing I've ever heard her say. She is a precious treasure and I am glad she's posting somewhere she's appreciated. I love you Paula Deen and wish the best for you, and look forward to anything to post.
I've been a fan of Paula Deen since I was literally about 8 years old; I'm now 23, almost 24. I used to watch her cooking show with my Memaw back then & I've continued to watch for all these years. You've taught me how to cook for all of my adolescents, Grandma Paula! Especially your famous baked Mac & Cheese, I follow the majority of Paula's ingredients/steps, & add a couple of my own ingredients. I first made the baked Mac & cheese at 13 & I've made it every year for the family ever since, thanks to you Paula❗️Watching her/even hearing Paula's voice & laugh always gives me nostalgia of my Memaw. Thank you for being a major part of my childhood & early adulthood. Love you, Paula! I will always be a fan. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Miss Paula, I can’t tell you how much I look forward to these videos. My mom and I enjoyed watching your show for years and years and while she’s passed on now, watching you cook reminds me of her. God bless and stay safe! ❤️
Thank you, Paula! I’m usually intimidated by the kitchen, but you make it all look so easy that I just jump right in and start making these dishes, and they’ve all turned out great. Thank you!
I absolutely love these videos. I love that they are in ur home - dogs doing their thing and the phone rings - it’s so genuine and that is a rare thing these days. I hope you continue to make videos far beyond Covid. Be ur own network 🌸
So cute saying “I’m sleepy y’all. I had some chicken 🐓 & dumplings for lunch and now they’re resting on my eyelids”... I love that. Love & best dishes to you Ms Paula. Stay well 😘 Stay safe 😷
Seems like overkill when you can just boil them for 12 minutes. Those are perfect every time too and don't have all the labour involved with the Instant Pot method.
Love watching you, Ms Paula. ❤ It's like spending the day hanging out in good friend's kitchen, sharing recipes over a cup of coffee with lots of laughter and good food! 😊
I have been addicted to these videos for months... they brighten my day. I have been cooking and baking like crazy thanks to you. I made the Cole slaw for my family yesterday and we all loved it. I just purchased the silly salt from your site for next time!
I have enjoyed your quarantine videos better than any other cooking video's! You are the Queen and so real. I feel like I am visiting with a friend. Keep them coming! ❤️❤️❤️
I have family roots from Raleigh NC, your recipes remind me of what I grew up with. We love love deviled eggs. During the holidays I have to fix at least 4 dozen eggs. Have a great week.
I use both sweet and dill pickles in mine. I like the sweet tang of the opposing tastes. My husband claims he doesn't like dill pickles, but he doesn't know I use them in my deviled eggs and he says my eggs are the best he has ever had. We won't tell, teehee.
After we got married we would for the pickle part use store-bought salad cubes or pickle relish. I can't wait to try them your way. And you are right, there are many ways to make deviled eggs.
I love deviled eggs! I remember being at Granny’s with all my aunts and uncles and cousins for Sunday dinner...there were the beautiful eggs! I learned to not take as many as I actually wanted because everyone else wanted them too! Seems like a simple lesson but has had an impact throughout my life... I think this will have to be one of my next dishes🥰
I steam my eggs as well. From room temp for 9 mins. Then, if I want the yokes still golden and somewhat moist, instantly plunge them into ice water. If I want bright yellow all the way through (still never a green ring!) I wait 1 minute, then plunge them into ice water. Perfect every time. I actually took the time to see how the eggs would turn out at 5, 6, 8, and 9 mins. Try it, y'all. You can have all sorts of texture---some, admittedly, not proper for deviled eggs, but you get the idea. HEH. Thank you, MS. Paula. I'll try the cheese this 4th cook out :)
Thank you for posting these videos during this time. My children and I have just adored watching you. It has really inspired them to get in the kitchen with me any chance they get.
Ive never had shrimp in a deviled egg before! But around mothers day... I did make your husband's pickled shrimp. Just to try it, I had the kids all try too. They were surprisingly good. My son came back over for Father's day and the first thing he did was open the fridge and look for the pickled shrimp. Haha He said he'd been craving them! So glad I found you in youtube. God Bless!
Never thought of pickles! I'd do the Dill, I believe. I finely mince green olives (really, really fine - pimento and all) and use onion powder, yum!!! I have extra eggs, I might have to make some later. Thanks Paula! I love waking to you cooking ❤
My favorite kitchen appliance is a $16.00 egg cooker that cooks 6 eggs perfectly. The shells practically come off by themselves. Love it so much I bought 1 for my sister and sister in laws.
I do too. I like plenty of devil in my deviled eggs. I don't put pickles in them (if I did I would use dill pickles) but I do garnish them with fresh dill.
Paula I just love these Quarantine Cooking Shows. Showing short quick and easy recipes . I love you Paula. I have been to your restaurants in Savannah, Pigeon Forge and Branson. Thank you for always having your paper cutout out - I always have my picture taken with you. Love it. Love your store. Love you. Thank you Paula - keep the videos coming.
Well good morning Ms Paula, hope you are doing well. I enjoy watching all your videos. Glad you chose to come on TH-cam. It's really nice to see your family join you. Have a wonderful day. Love from Georgia.
My family loves my deviled eggs. Every cookout, church picnic, family get together they demand my eggs. And usually it's 3-4 dozen eggs. When my niece graduated she called me and said all she wanted was me to make the eggs for her party. So I taught my two oldest granddaughters how to make them and we made 200 deviled eggs for that party! My pastor said they are so good I have to call them Heavenly Eggs from now on! lol. Thanks for sharing all these recipes with us.
@@lesliesmith719 my recipe is pretty much Paula's except that I use 12 eggs, 1 cup Miracle Whip, 1 tablespoon of Hotdog Relish (mustard and relish premixed). I do not use the garnish or paprika because my sister in law is allergic to all peppers. The trick is I use a hand mixer and really whip the yolk mixture before piping into the egg white halves. Oh and of course the secret ingredient.....LOVE!
Thank you for making these. My 19 year old business is on the brink due to COVID and rioting in Chicago and I am so depressed sometimes You really cheer me up.
Instead of mashing the egg yolks with a fork, I run them through my old Mouli grater that's been sprayed with a little olive oil to keep the egg from sticking. You can grate the egg white the same way. Perfect consistency for deviled eggs. For those who don't know about a Mouli grater, it's handheld in 2 parts, and the grater is like a drum that you crank with your hand. I haven't seen one in ages, but many homes had them back in the 1950s. I think I bought my last one about 25 years ago.
I use a piping bag. However I put the filling on cling wrap first. Fold it tight. Tie a knot in both ends and then feed into the piping bag. Pull the know thru the tip and cut it off. Fill the whites. Then pull out the cling wrap and all I have to clean is the tip because the cling wrap kept the bag clean.
@@myrajohnson5663 That is a great tip! I use the ziploc bag method too, but sometimes I dont get my green olives diced finely enough - I always think about the piping Bags, but hate the mess of them in clean up.
Looks fantastic! I LOVE watching you! You are soo comforting! One of my secrets for deviled eggs is to finely chop a little celery into the yolk mix...adds a nice crunch!
For a small minute I thought you wouldn't have enough egg mixture, but, dang, you did! Love you. Keep on making these informal videos, they're wonderful.
I have to make SEVEN dozen deviled eggs for every holiday. We're a very small family. I've been doing that for about 40 years. I've NEVER heard of adding cheese before! Never. Y'all have a beautiful week. 🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚♥️
I learned last year to wait for the water to come to a boil then add eggs, boil 14 minutes drain run cook water over them and let cool completely down in fridge. They come out PERFECT EVERY TIME!! Fresh or older eggs.WORKS EVERY TIME!!!
Watching from Nashville, and loving your videos, Miss Paula! A quick egg peeling tip: place your egg in coffee mug, add little water, cover with your hand and shake shake shake! Peelings fall right off. Keep the Quarantine Cooking videos coming! 😊
Good Morning...I was waiting on my notification to watch the queen on the cooking 👸. I love deviled eggs so much.More then my body does 🤣. I boil my eggs for 5 min then cut them off and let them set on the stove 5 min. The shell comes off so clean and beautiful. I love all you guy's..I hope all my amazing friends have a wonderful Monday. Love you ❤Mrs.Paula 😘🥰 One thing about deviled eggs you can fix them all different ways. You can put everything but the kitchen sink in them🤣👍😋
@To Be Honest no actually...I get them off the stove after sitting in the water 5 min. Then I run them under the water peel them them so easy to get off . I have tried the ice water it dosen't work as good at all .
@To Be Honest ok boil your eggs like normal for 5 min...then turn off the heat and let them set in the water 5 min.. Then run the water over eggs and peel them no ice the shell comes right off. I start shelling them from the middle friend.🤗😘 Hope you have a wonderful day my awesome friend 🤗
I put my boiled eggs right from the pan into an ice water bath. Easy peel every time! Think I'll try steaming them, though. I sometimes add in some well mashed (no lumps!) avocado to make more filling. I always top it with smoked paprika on top....it's SO good!
Instapot - wonderful for hard boiled eggs!!! 6 minutes high pressure, 6 minutes slow release, 6 min soak in ice water. Can cook up to 8 eggs. No fail every time
You’ll love this story: I was born and raised in a Guatemalan household, so we ate beans, tomatoes, avocados, soups- really a lot of vegetables. And on occasion we’d have fried eggs. Growing up I’d always heard of deviled eggs, but never knew what they were! But one day when I was 22 years old I saw some at a conference I was at! I grabbed just 2 to be modest. Boy was that a mistake! I loved them so much, but when I went to get more they were all gone!!! And since that day I’ve had all my friends cook me up some deviled eggs! I’m 29 now! Still never made some of my own, but that’s about to change! Bless you, Paula!
Yo recuerdo la primera vez q traje deviled eggs a una fiesta latina y todos quedaron viendo los huevitos con duda pero luego los probaron y todos querian mas jaja es divertido compartir recetas de diferente pais con la gente
That thunderstorm in the background though. So lovely. Now I’m going to make these tomorrow. I haven’t made them in a while. Hope y’all are well. Love from Southern Illinois ⛈
I use part mayo and part softened cream cheese to give them a little added richness. I also like to add some curry powder. I've learned the eggs peel easier if I let them sit out at room temp (about 2 hrs.) then put them in boiling water.....I use a slotted spoon to put them in to prevent cracking. Let them cook for 10 mins......then put into cold water for 10 mins. Works perfectly for me! But I have heard that steaming and the instant pot works great too.
Paula, I made 1 dozen deviled eggs for Father’s Day. I put eggs in a pan and cover with water. Bring to a boil ( boll) Then turn off heat and cover. Set timer for 15 minutes. They were PERFECT, if I may say. 😃 I added some curry to my classic eggs. They didn’t last very long. 😝👍🏼👍🏼😘
Yum! I love deviled eggs! I have never put cheese in them. Give me a summer meal with the dev eggs, cucumbers & onions, sliced garden tomatoes, corn on the cob, and brewed tea - don’t care what the meat is!
Me too, I can't make them anymore without my curry powder-- I've tried. No pickles, just dehydrated onion and dry mustard. If I do leave off the curry, then I add lots of dehydrated jalepeno pepper , mmmm but I love that darn curry
Paula, I am a guy who likes to cook. You and my Grandmother helped me when I was starting to learn to cook. The first deviled egg I made was you Southern Traditional egg. I always make 1-2 extra eggs. They are always a hit with the family and at work. Another egg I like to do is on my pellet smoker. Smoke the eggs and instead of using pickles, I use pickled jalapeno's. I will chop them up and put in mixture. Then I will sprinkle some BBQ rub on top and garnish with a jalapeno slice.
That deviled egg chicken plate is so cute! My family and I absolutely love deviled eggs! And you are right, you can put pretty much put anything in the recipe. Mine is Hellman’s Mayo, yellow mustard and dill juice. I sometimes add relish or bacon bits (real bacon), but my granddaughters don’t like ‘em like that! Lol
Love the texture of that deviled egg. Im going to look for me one of those food processors. Beautiful deviled eggs. Almost as lovely as the woman who made them.
Lightly tap large end of eggs .with a large metal kitchen spoon...just to crack it a little bit. Bring to boil, remove from heat with lid on and let sit 20 min. Works like a charm, especially on fresh eggs! Try it, you'll like it. Peels so easy. Love watching you, Paula. You are a sweetheart!!
I have a "recipe" that works perfectly everytime! And my mom always used pickle relish, miracle whip and paprika sprinkled on top... I make mine with Mayo.... And I've never used mustard of any kind.... I'll have to add mustard the next time!
We always top ours with a little paprika or we use dried dill weed. At Christmas we use both and do some with the red and some with the green. Festive and yummy.
LOVE you Paula Deen! I do eggs in instant pot! 2 minutes on high and then let it natural release for 10 minutes and then into ice bath...shells fall right off! Any pickles work for me! love them.
Try this. I saw Tammy on Collard Valley Cooks do this and I tried it and was BLOWN AWAY!!! Bring water to a boil first, then gently spoon in cold eggs right from the refrigerator. Bring back to boil and set timer for 12 minutes. Take from heat and run cold water from the tap into the pan until the water is cooled. Gently crack the shells all over and start peeling. The shells practically fall off the eggs with very little effort. AMAZING! Try it!
Hi Miss Paula I make deviled eggs quite often so thank you for the ideas!! I also add a few drops of Thai sweet chili sauce on top of my deviled eggs it has been quite a hit with my family and friends there are never any left and I usually make a couple dozen eggs at a time
Paula, I love the idea about adding cheese. One thing I do is to place all my stuffing into a quart size ziplock bag snip off the corner and pipe into the eggs. This way I get them fairly even.
I’m gonna try adding that extra egg next time I make them. There’s always at least one that just doesn’t peel right, so maybe I’ll wait until they are all peeled then pick the ugliest one to toss in with the yolks. Love, love, love this series! So far I’ve made peach cobbler and KrispyKreme Bread Pudding-both out of this world. Thanks, Paula!!
Paula, you brighten my days☀️😊 I have always admired your beautiful soul. Would you PLEASE give us complete instructions on steaming eggs??????? Love you!❤❤
I'm a dill pickle girl, but I also add just a teaspoon or two (depending on how many deviled eggs I'm making) of the pickle juice for extra flavor. And to top them off...I always use smoked paprika. So yummy! I'm off to the kitchen...
I LOVE deviled eggs. I use one of those egg steamers, where you prick a hole in the top of each egg and steam it. That is the ONLY way I can cook an egg and get the shell off without mutilating the egg in the process. When I have some, I love to use my mom's homemade sweet pickle. LORD...those diced up and added to that filling...I can eat the entire plate by myself. :)
I love deviled eggs! I’m going to try the cheese! I sometimes add horseradish...delicious!My Mama and Grannie always insisted that Bread and Butter pickles was the only pickle to use in salads! I learned to cook from two southern ladies! It’s so great to watch you cook! I was in heaven when I visited your restaurant!
I add a couple dashes of Worchestershire sauce too! I put all my ingredients into a quart ziploc bag, knead the bag with my hands, cut the corner off one of the ends and pipe the filling into the egg whites! VOILA!!! Love from another southern cook!!!
I love how she blew the extra paprika off the plate ! Why didn’t I think of that !?! I def will be doing that from now on ☺️. Love this woman & her down to earth cooking ❤️
I was laughing thinking of viewers. Screaming Corona! Paula is like my Momma, licks her fingers, blows on stuff, eats off the spoon lol. I ALWAYS knew her hands were clean and I always kissed her on the lips so I could careless!
Marilyn Rollings her recipe are awesome but Paula licks her fingers and then shares with her people. The corona virus is still here and blowing on the food she needs to set a good example and follow good food safety.
This reminds me of our family reunion every year, we had a lot of deviled eggs there every time, all of them so good. I’m going to try cheese in mine next time I make them. Sounds really good. ⚡️💖⚡️

I have to make SEVEN dozen deviled eggs for every holiday. We're a very small family. I've been doing that for about 40 years. I've NEVER heard of adding cheese before! Never.
Y'all have a beautiful week.
🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚♥️
Same here....no matter how many you make, they're the first thing gone, lol.
@@barbikayler40532
Absolutely true!!
7 dozen?
I'll be praying for you every holiday from now on.
@@newbee509
LOL!! Thanks. 😄
7 dozen?! How do you make sure the peels slip off?
You make me laugh when you laugh ... so contagious !!!😂. Loved the eggs and watching all that you cook ... so glad to watch you again!!!!
I learned last year to wait for the water to come to a boil then add eggs, boil 14 minutes drain run cook water over them and let cool completely down in fridge. They come out PERFECT EVERY TIME!! Fresh or older eggs.WORKS EVERY TIME!!!
I love deviled eggs but with the dill pickle. I have never tried them with cheese in them. Sounds good :D Thank you Paula. Now get some rest honey.
I like to add a couple teaspoons of sour cream in mine. I also use sweet, and dill pickles...half and half. So good.
Watching from Nashville, and loving your videos, Miss Paula! A quick egg peeling tip: place your egg in coffee mug, add little water, cover with your hand and shake shake shake! Peelings fall right off. Keep the Quarantine Cooking videos coming! 😊
I love that these shows are not edited to death... It's so real. Thx 😊👊👊👊🇺🇸
@To Be Honest when you crack the egg to make sure you crack them in the middle all around . They will turn out perfect 👍🤗
@To Be Honest you are so welcome have a wonderful day 🤗😘
@To Be Honest that doesn't sound like enough time. Paula said 20 minutes.
I put my boiled eggs right from the pan into an ice water bath. Easy peel every time! Think I'll try steaming them, though.
I sometimes add in some well mashed (no lumps!) avocado to make more filling. I always top it with smoked paprika on top....it's SO good!
So delicious looking! I use chopped pimento stuffed olives and bacon😋
Instapot - wonderful for hard boiled eggs!!! 6 minutes high pressure, 6 minutes slow release, 6 min soak in ice water. Can cook up to 8 eggs. No fail every time
Thanks Paula for showing how to put your eggs in the food processor. I tried that and it worked great.
That egg tray and rooster cutting board!!😍😍😍
She is SO REAL!!!!! I adore Paula!!!!!!!!
Cream cheese sounds good
Paula, I made 1 dozen deviled eggs for Father’s Day. I put eggs in a pan and cover with water. Bring to a boil ( boll) Then turn off heat and cover. Set timer for 15 minutes. They were PERFECT, if I may say. 😃 I added some curry to my classic eggs. They didn’t last very long. 😝👍🏼👍🏼😘
Hi Paula. I love watching your videos. They bring me comfort during this unsettled time. Thanks from your friend born in Dawson Ga.
Yum! I love deviled eggs! I have never put cheese in them. Give me a summer meal with the dev eggs, cucumbers & onions, sliced garden tomatoes, corn on the cob, and brewed tea - don’t care what the meat is!
Great solution to making sure there is enough filling. Useful. Hopefully I remember this next time I make them.
I love watchin true "home" cookin. Thank You for doing the Quarantine Vids.
Some deviled eggs are destined to be a salad. I have even put curry powder in mine and oh boy yummmmmmm
Curry is my secret ingredient in egg salad!! It really adds something!!
You are too sweet, Terry!
Paula you lick your fingers too much when you cooking and then you go back never washyour hand that not clean so many germs.
I always make deviled eggs at thanksgiving for appetizers . Thanks for the recipe!
We always top ours with a little paprika or we use dried dill weed. At Christmas we use both and do some with the red and some with the green. Festive and yummy.
Thank you Paula! I so enjoy learning from you and trying out your recipes.
I’ve done both ways steamer and a pressure cooker like them both they both do an excellent job.
I started steaming my eggs a few years ago and I have never had a problem peeling since . Thanks Paula for your videos.
LOVE you Paula Deen! I do eggs in instant pot! 2 minutes on high and then let it natural release for 10 minutes and then into ice bath...shells fall right off! Any pickles work for me! love them.
I love deviled eggs!! These look great!! ❤❤
I’m just a pickle person! Sweet, dill, garlic, hot...they’re all good to me!
Your covid you tube posts have been the VERY BEST....keep em coming....I’m addicted!!
AMAZING! Try it!
Hi Miss Paula
I make deviled eggs quite often so thank you for the ideas!!
I love your stuff Paula. I love chickens, rooster things, I got your canisters, cooking pot.
Love your candles also.
I always do that with my broken whites too.
Been doing this for years since you told us many moons ago. Makes a world of difference.
Paula, you brighten my days☀️😊 I have always admired your beautiful soul. Would you PLEASE give us complete instructions on steaming eggs??????? Love you!❤❤
I remember watching my father make these at funeral dinners! I love them.
did you mean to say family dinners lol
Love all your recipes! Miss you greatly on TV. Love this channel! Keep bringing us your smiling face and cooking knowledge! We love you!!
I steam my eggs to make them hard, too. Also, green olives are great in any egg salad, devil egg dish. Thank you, Paula. God Bless.
I have never thought to put cheese in our deviled eggs! I am making some today, thanks Paula!!!
I live lots of fresh herbs in my deviled eggs. A party surprise. Parsley or basil or dill or even arugula. Yum🤗
These are good! My son likes to make deviled eggs for every holiday and yours is one of the three varieties prepares. Yum!
She's a restaurant woman! She knows all the tricks 🥰😋
If my finicky family saw me blow on the eggs, they would not eat them!? Oh well, more for me.
Try a blow dryer! Less germs. 🤭
