You have done the watch and company a big disfavour by not bothering to find out how to pronounce "Agelocer" but just went ahead and said its akin to "age loser"! I feel as a watch connoisseur and reviewer, you could have done better.

This may be the question of the year and a question I've asked myself every time I see the following: Megir (who wants a meager watch?) OLEVS (olives anyone?) MINIFOCUS (for those that want both a Mini and a Focus) Addiesdive (those that dive wearing Adidas) Lacz Denton (lacks dents?) etc etc

It doesn't make sense at all, especially in this case the brand name will stop many from buying it....however if your a tinkerer then perhaps replacing the chapter ring is an option....as far as the price is concerned I must agree it's a touch on the optimistic side....at $500 with better or no branding then this could be a winner....they have to rethink that clasp, it's far too muckle to be of use....as far as the design goes it looks great....🏴⌚🏴⌚

This is not a decent watch brand.
I made a MISTAKE and bought one.
It came with a 1cm long hair inside😳.
They said: go to any watch repairer and have it removed. They didn’t care about the watch guarantee or about me. There is no real service. Essentially you buy a disposable watch.
I would strongly advise against buying this watch.

I was referring to “royal trinity” stuff like Patek, AP, VC actually. Grand Seiko with spring drive would be the equal of anything in accuracy short of atomic time sync watches!
@@PerthWAtch yeah unfortunately I have never gotten to actually ever see one of those brands in person I have seen the grand Seiko and I didn't mean every last one of their watches because I know they do make some very accurate movements but I do know that their allowed tolerance is a little high for what some of the watch costs and again it is just my opinion I think they make absolutely beautiful watches I was looking at one with an all blue dial I do not remember the reference number but it was just absolutely fabulous I believe it was around like 5 or 6,000

A lot of skeleton watches are messy, this one works resonably well. Wouldn't be so bad if you could get a sterile version. The price though, up against the Swiss competition with well known names and probably on bracelets too.
I think it is visually confusing and therefore hard to read and dysfunctional. That could probably be fixed with a different colour way. The hands and indices need to strongly contrast with all other elements. I think the bridges / frame / skeleton dial should be similar in colour to the movement components and that the hands and indices need to contrast with that.
Yeah good point about the hands and dial bridges needing to be different and contrasting - I feel they’ve done the skeleton mod pretty well but with these hands and colours it doesn’t really work.
As for the “Swiss competition”… well AFAIK the cheapest Swiss tourbillon is over $20k! Do you know any cheaper?
@@nathanaelsmith3553 I agree with what you say, Tourbillons and skelletons are distracting to me but this seems better done than most. I prefer an exhibition back to see the works and dial side for day/date and time only plus bezel if appropriate.
@@philspencelayh5464 it's hard to find a skeleton dial that works visually. Angelus, Oris and Horage do a good job though.

You could ask the same question about instructions that come with Chinese goods. I've seen some hilarious translations. I wouldn't wear a watch with that name, though I also would have been stopped by the skeletonization.

Ummmm… Compared to Boderry or Ciga Design to name a few, Age is a looser.
The fact that it stopped running while you demonstrated this design flop even after winding it confirms this is a $20 trinket.
Take away the romance of a fancy French word for a part that rotates, there’s no design, materiality, readability, with a poorly conceived clasp attached that destroys the strap.😂

Got mine today, the watch was smaller than I thought, mine is with blue dial and rose gold case. I like the sound, the watch is fine kind of like it, thought, the strap has to be replaced with something else as I find it on the cheep side, i bought mine for 800 dollars

I imagine the Chinese companies make a name they like and go with it... If there's anything wrong with it they probably figure no one will notice...
In China being a communist country using a social credit system, the companies are probably more concerned with copyright infringement and being original when choosing a name... The company could be owned by the government in addition...

I'm a fan of Japanese Music and I've often wondered why these HUGE Japanese Music Labels like SONY/EMI/Etc don't just hire some native English Speaker to work at the company and just have them work SOLELY on Proof Reading and Editing English Language lyrics in Japanese songs.
It's crazy to me HOW MANY good Japanese songs have not just bad English but frankly embarrassing English.
Same with K-Pop too, they'll say stuff like 'You don't know what is love.' or 'Talking about what I know about. That I'm gonna ace this just.' It's SO close to being right if ONLY they had someone to check it.
Haha can’t say I listen to such songs with inserted English - but yeah similar issue regarding the poor English!

Apart from the name and the clasp, if you like skeleton watches seems to be nice. I personally don't. I get that some people really want to appreciate the engineering, as they appreciate the engineering of cars, but not many drive round in a vehicle without a body. However as always each to their own. Great review as always

Skeleton dials and display backs would be more akin to removed bonnets and/or transparent covers on mid engined cars… both of which exist.

This watch is such a disappointment. Such a waste. They design and manufacture an affordable custom skeletonised movement and dial combination with a Tourbillon and surround it with minimalist design choices in the Hands, Case and Chapter Ring so as not to distract from the star of the show the dial and Tourbillon, but for some incomprehensible reason some inscrutable moron decided they'd put the brands ridiculous name *AGELOCER* in all large white capital letters at 12 0'Clock on the Chapter Ring! RUINING the look of the watch. They might've as well have written 'CHINESE KNOCKOFF GARBAGE' up there instead because that's the effect it has.
