Strangely, I got more excited over these two watches, than watches we’ve seen, costing 100k and up. First, I share Adam’s more simplistic taste and a love of tool/diver style watches. To finally see Adam own a really special piece like this, is just thrilling. His excitement is obvious and with good reason. What a handsome watch ! It’s pretty common for producers to have beats headphones or small Bluetooth speakers, etc. Because they use these as tests to make sure that the music sounds good even on something that’s not good sound quality.
@@Robstrap plenty of producers use cheap headphones or speakers to see how everything sounds on something that’s not flat response. For example car speakers people test songs in their cars all the time. You know if it sounds good in the car it’s probably going to sound good elsewhere. Obviously they use flat response studio monitors for the mixing. But many use cheaper stuff (such as beats) to test how their mixes are going to sound on regular devices.

Wow, ERA watches just got a 14 minute advert for the cost of 2 x $1,500 watch and Michael's $6,500. I have just checked this company out and they have 1 vulgar version of a Rolex Divers watch and then this one which you can buy, but will not be shipped till September. So I guess all the other celebs have been given a free watch to wear, to create a "must have that" buzz. Also don't believe Michael, other watch makers make cheaper Tourbillons and their build quality is just fine.

The reason he did that is the watch has 2 editions. So they wanted to show off both to potential customers. The one Adam got at $1400 and one Michael got for $6500, both have discounts now.

But I have spent most of my working life as a studio and live sound engineer and believe me, no engineer or producer worth their salt would use crap like that to mix or master on.

I bought one of these a few months ago. Took months to arrive and very bad customer service Don’t recommend it the power reserve is very bad. Regular customer get the watch first. And then the box. Separately. That makes the experience very sad. Athe watch comes with a receipt 🧾 that says it’s worth $75. Idk if thats becaus eof customs or whatever. But yea. The actual power reserve is like 8 hours. You have to keep winding it.

You can get many more beautiful watches for half the price - and a SeaGull tourbillon (if you for some reason feel the need to) for about $450 USD. The same calibre for $850 less. It’s a non starter.

They should definitely state it’s paid advertisement if that’s really the case but it is a really nice looking watch.
I love a classy looking watch. Elegant hand engraving with every part polished by hand. I think a watch that looks so beautiful on the inside deserves to be seen and not covered by a watch face or metal back. I like newer designs as well. Have you ever looked at a Hautlence Vortex Gamma Tron? I could see that being a watch that peeks your entrusts. I love the crazier belt/chain drive watches. It shows people can still come up with new designs of what the average person would say is an unneeded expense considering everyone carries a smart phone. It’s hard to explain a love of watches to someone like that though. I know I’ll never own a watch that costs that much, but I still have faith I’ll be able to afford something for a few thousand one day. I wasn’t the smartest with my money when I was younger and they really don’t give you those gold watches out for being medically retired after a decade of service, so it may take a while.

I know the Chinese manufacturer of the movement and cases. (I own one already) Basically, ERA imported watches by a Chinese company called Seagull (Sugess), stamped their name on them, and changed the cosmetics a very tiny bit. Look for yourself on taobao, the Chinese version of Amazon.
Not surprisingly, you have obviously never seen the Moser Tourbi, which can be had for $38-40k, the JLC Master Grande Tourbi, which pristine pre-owned full kit can be had for $42-48k or the Master Thin @ $52-58k and I’m getting tired so I’ll finish with the Blancpain Leman Big Date Limited Edition for $21-26k. All listed are precious metal pieces. A few are pristine pre-owned full kit. Even new, all are well south of $100k and the Moser is new. I’ve never watched your channel prior to this vid and I’ll refrain from commenting on the tourbi discussed in this vid as I only comment on examples that I have examined in the metal however you should do a lil more homework before making erroneous statements as I’m sure that there are a few guys watching who might mistakenly believe that you know what you’re speaking of and are being accurate in your statements. Wow, ERA watches just got a 14 minute advert for the cost of 2 x $1,500 watch and Michael's $6,500. I have just checked this company out and they have 1 vulgar version of a Rolex Divers watch and then this one which you can buy, but will not be shipped till September. So I guess all the other celebs have been given a free watch to wear, to create a "must have that" buzz. Also don't believe Michael, other watch makers make cheaper Tourbillons and their build quality is just fine.

The reason he did that is the watch has 2 editions. So they wanted to show off both to potential customers. The one Adam got at $1400 and one Michael got for $6500, both have discounts now.

But I have spent most of my working life as a studio and live sound engineer and believe me, no engineer or producer worth their salt would use crap like that to mix or master on.

Stay away from Chinese watches.. This is pure rubbish. For the same money (or less), buy an entry/mid level Swiss/German watch, Japanese made Seiko or Casio instead.
Some Chinese watches are good value.
As far as cheap tourbillons go, Seagull does them pretty decently. Definitely worth it as a budget tourbillon (€400)

Don’t recommend it the power reserve is very bad. Regular customer get the watch first. And then the box. Separately. That makes the experience very sad. Athe watch comes with a receipt 🧾 that says it’s worth $75. Idk if thats becaus eof customs or whatever. But yea. The actual power reserve is like 8 hours. You have to keep winding it.

edwong3 Well it just so happens that I can’t afford the Tag. As much as I’d like to, I don’t have a job yet. That being said, the ERA doesn’t make sense. You can get many more beautiful watches for half the price - and a SeaGull tourbillon (if you for some reason feel the need to) for about $450 USD. The same calibre for $850 less. It’s a non starter.
edwong3 I come here only to judge the misdirection and misinformation spread by ERA that only they provide such a watch at ‘such a great price point’. As you have demonstrated, the better value for money lies in the SeaGull, not ERA.

@edwong3 A tourbillon movement isnt necessarly expensive, you can buy a watch with a tourbillon for like $500. Its the finishing, materials, and precision thats makes an AP so expensive.
I don’t know why everyone’s hating on the watch I think it’s quite pretty. Now if this is like a paid ad and Michaels being deceptive like I’ve been reading then that’s obviously shitty. They should definitely state it’s paid advertisement if that’s really the case but it is a really nice looking watch.

I love a classy looking watch. Elegant hand engraving with every part polished by hand. I think a watch that looks so beautiful on the inside deserves to be seen and not covered by a watch face or metal back. I like newer designs as well. Have you ever looked at a Hautlence Vortex Gamma Tron? I could see that being a watch that peeks your entrusts. I love the crazier belt/chain drive watches. It shows people can still come up with new designs of what the average person would say is an unneeded expense considering everyone carries a smart phone. It’s hard to explain a love of watches to someone like that though. I know I’ll never own a watch that costs that much, but I still have faith I’ll be able to afford something for a few thousand one day. I wasn’t the smartest with my money when I was younger and they really don’t give you those gold watches out for being medically retired after a decade of service, so it may take a while.

I know the Chinese manufacturer of the movement and cases. (I own one already) Basically, ERA imported watches by a Chinese company called Seagull (Sugess), stamped their name on them, and changed the cosmetics a very tiny bit. Look for yourself on taobao, the Chinese version of Amazon.

Not surprisingly, you have obviously never seen the Moser Tourbi, which can be had for $38-40k, the JLC Master Grande Tourbi, which pristine pre-owned full kit can be had for $42-48k or the Master Thin @ $52-58k and I’m getting tired so I’ll finish with the Blancpain Leman Big Date Limited Edition for $21-26k. All listed are precious metal pieces. A few are pristine pre-owned full kit. Even new, all are well south of $100k and the Moser is new.
I’ve never watched your channel prior to this vid and I’ll refrain from commenting on the tourbi discussed in this vid as I only comment on examples that I have examined in the metal however you should do a lil more homework before making erroneous statements as I’m sure that there are a few guys watching who might mistakenly believe that you know what you’re speaking of and are being accurate in your statements.
