I did ambush camo on a jagdtiger a while back, the colours I used were vallejo: buff, refractive green and cavalry brown and it came out pretty decent. I end up wanting to paint it on every german vehicle now as it's a pretty fun process.
Outstanding! Happy New year Hank, Wish you and your loved ones a Great, Healthy and Prosperous 2025. Hope Santa brought you lots of Sprue Cleaner. 😉 Take care, Tony
Great timing! I reserved Takom Hetzer and atom paints set for WW2 German vehicles and since I build almost only modern/cold war stuff It's really helpful. All the best in 2025
Happy New Year Hank, nice video short but sweet. I like the paint job I painted a Sturm Tiger that camo scheme and I used a stencil for the smaller marking on the green and brown.
Great work as always. Do you think you could do a video on British caunter camo? i got a toon style matilda tank kit for christmas and haven't done that style of camo before.
Hey, i just built my first model. It was the bf-109 e4 in 1/72 scale and i have a question how do you work on such small parts and make it look easy and on average how long does it take for tamiya extra thin cement to dry strong enough to move onto the next part?
You have the green and brown portions taking up much space on the Hetzer. These "patches" were much smaller in reality. I enjoy getting numerous archive photos and then matching it as closely as possible to the actual vehicle. The easiest of these is most probably Erwin Rommel's "Greif" command half track as there are many photos of him with the vehicle in the background.
One mistake I see in a lot of video's is masking out the camo pattern so the lines are crisp this douse not work on a model unless it's a straight line so it's good that you are going for a soft line
To be honest or accurate I doubt that they worried to much about getting paint on the rubber of the road wheels just a thought I have seen repainted vehicles with paint on the wheels its just the way it is yes it does look better but probably not the way it was and I would say the same for tools and everything else its in the way paint it cables I see people paint them steel or whatever they would be completely rust the first big rain or two
You make it look so simple. Nice work!
Excellent work sir ❤

Hello, Hank! You Know The Hetzer Is My Favorite German Tankdestroyer! Bdw Cool Video!
you didn't respond :(

Great job on the Hetzer; what brand of paint did you use?
Was the german grey camouflage matt?
Dear Hank. I was watching your viedo. Being new to airbrushing, do you use the trigger stop or just adjust the spray with finger pressure?
I do not have a airbrush how would you paint A camouflage like that with spray paint or a paintbrush
There are several videos on here with techniques
hi there wondering what your mix ratio is?
Pardon stupid question but why not paint tank green and brown first then add yellow buffer ?
In the immortal words of Steve1989MREInfo,
"Nice. Cool."
