Controlling and removing invasive Siberian elm. Advice from a wildlife biologist.

Amongst the best strategies for control of invasive Siberian elm (Ulmus pumila) are to initially either use mechanical pulling out full root system (Tap root can be longer than above portion of tree) , basal spray, cut stump treatment and girdling followed up with foliar spraying for escapes, new seedlings, sprouts and root suckers. I prefer a natural method demonstrated here.
