I want to make this clear for everyone trying!! If you make it too tight to the point it block airflow it’s going to shoot out! You have to let exhaust gas flow out If not it won’t work! That’s the point of using pool noodles!
amazing video. i just got new headers and i actually feel bad for starting my car at 7:30 am for work. will definitely try this tomorrow morning. thank you dude
I leave at 3 am and just put a borla on today. It's not too aggressive but man I feel bad having to roll out the garage next week with this noise tippin off the HOA 😭.
Thank you, my new neighbors have two kids and I go to work at 6:30 every morning and my car is straight piped, I feel quite bad for how loud it is in the morning and am going to order a pool noodle right now, hopefully this works for me
This solution is awesome. Tried, tested and verified. This works a treat. I originally started getting acoustic foam for my garage which was starting to cost a fortune. Saw this video, had a pool noodle and old towel and what do you know. Thanks
Bruh. I have a straight piped Camaro SS 1LE and it literally shakes the building (townhomes) so i feel bad for my neighbors whenever i start it early or late 😂 Ive looked all over for a solution and finally found your video. Thank you! This is genius.
Thanks! I go to work at 4:30 am every morning and just got a car thats is a little loud on cold start. I was actually letting my car roll down- hill in neutral and then turn it on a few feet away from the complex 😅.
Always loved this car. Almost got 1 a few years back but ended up getting an 06 Pontiac Grand Prix GT. Which I still have and has treated me extremely well over the years BUT I still the luv the TL.
Those tips you bad ass on your Acura and your Acura looks awesome sorry that you have neighbors that are complaining about your exhaust. But I clicked on the red button and can't wait to see more content of your Acura.

@@hdua6772 hahaha i tryed it today had to do a couple times because my car blew it out, i have flowmasters with a cat delete lol so tomorrow is the test cold start lol
cool test, I mean seems like they make somewhat of a difference..it’s hard to tell bc, that original startup was an actual true “cold-start”. idk how much time passed from whenever the car last ran and the second startup was but it was totally different. I like this idea but someones gotta put together a more in-depth test vid w accurate decibel reader, tempgun, and multiple tests run for data consistency, all while stayin mindful of the varied control factors...which I’m realizing might additionally require a digital home weather station lol but that’s only if you wanna get the most realistic & accurate data. Anyway I have a 997gt3 and access to friends and neighbors modded exhaust cars including: wrx/STi’s, various //M’s, v8 sp chargers, loud pickups like dodgeRam, srtjeep, Camaros, So if anyone has those cars and wants the real data on which solutions work/don’t work just lmk il test that model for you. I also have 2 other solutions that I haven’t seen done or anything nearly as effective so I’d like to see the data. if my solution works for your car/set up, il ship it to ya! Just ordered my borla atak for my 5.7 and yeah, I park my car under a carport not in a garage and my exhaust faces my neighbors trailer (about 100yds away) so I’ll probably have to use this cause I have to leave at 4:30am a lot of the time for work.
this is amzing thanks for the idea, i have a q300 for my wrx and it triggers my neighbors car alarm on cold starts so this will probly help without spending too much $$
This is awesome but I must ask is this bad for your car? I instantly thought of the old banana in the tailpipe trick from the movies where people would constrict the exhaust pipes with a banana to screw someones car up. You could even drive around with them in sometimes like having a manual valved exhaust system the possibilities are endless 😂
You can’t drive it but worse case, the car would stall. If it’s too restrictive it would cause acceleration issues or At idle or low rpm it shouldn’t do any harm for the most part. I can feel the exhaust flow still coming out through mine.
@@hdua6772 did it give good results? I’m thinking of having something I can leave in as this is kind of a process. I can see myself getting annoyed with this after a week and saying screw the neighbors lol

or just get a muffler and exhaust cutout. run the muffler close to home and open her up once you hit the road
Did it work we all want to know.

I use a ceiling paint roller with a little tape. Works great
finally i needed a SOLUTION ASAP

Hey bro I’m a huge fan of your car what size exhaust tips do you have
4 inches total or each?
Thanks man! And it’s 4 inch each
So 8 inches total ?
@@gtapia6594 a little more than 8 cause there’s a small gap between the tips. I wanna say 9 inches total?
Great video but for some reason mine shoot out 🤣 even tho theyre pretty tight in there
I got stg75 ported pool noodles if yellow are interested. Tree fiddly each.
Yall not yellow
Dude every time I try this they are in there as snugg as possible and when I start they just shoot out!
Make sure you still have airflow
The noodles keep flying out on Initial startup
You need to add more towels
You must have muffler delete and have gone catless
Yeah it is
Exactly what I was lookin for, catless 5.0 sendin many thanks 🙏🏽

So not worried about the added back pressure and heat? Why not run a stock muffler with electric cut outs?
It's only temporary for cold starts in the morning, shouldn't do any damage
I have quad 4.5” single tips and the inlet of the tips are 2.5” will this fit inside the tips inlet
Hey Ik I’m late but how much quieter is this
A lot lol it definitely help with cold starts
a cheap silencer😂😂
LOL it works
My shit will not stay in
You’ll need a tighter fit. Try bigger tube or more rags
Will that pressure mess up the engine ?
Not if you don’t drive it. If you put your hand by the exhaust you can feel the exhaust exiting
Luky me my neighbors are cool with it 🙏🏽
Smart
Thank you
