The Mercedes key ring is to impress his fellow swingers club members when the keys go in the bowl
Mercs and Nissans share some diesel engines... so technically not untrue...
🤣
@@khalidacosta7133 Is that what you tell yourself when you put your keys in the bowl?
I'd put Toyota keys in to impress the reliability nerds
@@khalidacosta7133 The Merc X class is a Nissan Navara with different lights and bumpers!
Always makes me smile how you have a melt down over mould, yet you'll put a scabby hat on 😂
I'm matts auntie, - we loved that couch , it matched our Nissan

"Well, we're here" is iconic now 😂
It never ceases to amaze me on how little pride the general public have in their cars... it takes all of 30 mins to clean a relatively clean car out and if you really don't want to do it, it costs like 20 quid to get it done.
I feel like for most of us Americans we just see it as expensive wallet sapping appliances we use because that's the only option for us. People just don't enjoy the car owning experience anymore with each passing day.
I like to keep my car clean. But my current Honda Fot has been very unreliable. It's hard to take any pride in it. I make sure it's kinda clean and the orange paint honestly hides dirt very well. When I start seeing streaks from rain I clean it.
The worst thing is, it takes 5 min to vacum a cleanish car, once a week, but instead people just extend it to months and then it needs a full job that takes hours...
Maintainance is key, house and cars.
Why?
Why would you care what people think
@@DennisBonichI spent my youth buying and driving pretty cool cars of that era .. I kept them pristine. When I reached 50 I decided I’d had enough and bought a defender 90 an absolute piece of crap but it’s done exactly what I need of it .. I’ve not cleaned it in 5yrs inside or out .. I’ve so much more time to myself without worrying about the car. My son says it’s kind of cool as it is so I will take that 😊
@@gw2891 my point is if you use 5 min og vacuming and cleaning a week it will never build up much. But each to his own i like to be clean.
Matt ,Matt, Triangle tyres. I used to be HGV 1 and,ran a set of Firestone tyres, 160k no punctures, nada, nowt, when they were done , Triangles. Same driver, same truck, same work, and totally worn out at 48k that’s all kilometres but they were rubbish I would never put them on a car.
Well, we're here.
Massive underspent this time?
Spat me tea out when you went all 'jon Richardson '! Leave it at 22 it's the perfect temperature! Love it. Cheers
😂
My pet hate when I get in my car with my elderly parents. Oooo its cold turn the heating up! Mum. I have only just turned the engine on...
Always enjoy you're witty comments 😀
Great content as always. Brave with the cap considering the sate...
Top content and as always entertaining Matt
Good morning Matt, great looking car, hope it sells very quickly. Thank you for taking the time to upload another video. Ged.
Great video and work as always Matt!
Cute little Family car and offroader too! :D
Love Matt……honest and genuinely informative …..
Had my X trail for several years now and they are really good motorway crusiers .. been everywhere in it and super reliable 😊 plus they're loaded with tech.. auto parking, cruise, xenon, leather, auto braking etc
Good result with that car Matt,I live in London but if I lived up your way I would be happy to buy from you having seen what you do with cars.Have been following your videos for mabye 4 or 5 yrs.Great stuff👍
Well done Matt good savings instead of overspend😊
Hi Matt. I have a xtrail tekna from new 64 plate. Only problems I've had are the dpf filer as I don't do many long journeys and the car has only done 36000 miles. I love it and it's great in bad weather keep up the good work great videos.
Hank! I’m so with you on the 22 degrees comment👏🏻
Love these vids.
Underrated cars. They suffer from the perception that they're just a stretched Qashqai. In reality they're altogether more refined and relaxed cars with a less sporty, more relaxed character. Also more dependable (the QQ was built in the UK, the XT wasnt). The trim level you have (ntec, i think) there is the one you want - all the goodies except the over firm leather seats and illogical 19" alloys of the Tekna. The 1.6 engine copes rather well with the car's bulk and is darn economical, and you have the 7 seats.
This will sell all day long.
I’ve recently discovered your channel and love your refreshingly honest style. It’s no surprise you’re being so successful. I’m local and remember when my dad was a dealer when I was a kid in the 80s and I used to go around with him visiting his dealer contacts. One of them was your garage - Barker’s of Romiley. Mr Barker was a nice elderly gentleman. Good memories!
That’s interesting. Thanks for watching
When you put the back seats up, you can slide the middle row forwards to give more room. The middle row also has adjustable backrests, so they can 'recline'
Watching from Africa.....i must say your videos are very informative..
Used to work for Nissan when these were quite new, not Nissans but just rebranded Renaults, even the batteries say Renault on them. We also had a lot of issues with X trails with them returning. Regardless they sell and that’s what matters in the trade.
The comment I was looking for, inside info! Cheers.
I've always been a bit puzzled by the X-Trail - it is like it wants to be a light off-road/utility vehicle but it definitely isn't. Though I do like the look of the new one - if they'd paired it up with something serious engine wise and tougher duty suspension, etc. I'd have probably bought one - I'm struggling to find something which hits the spot as a replacement for the old Pathfinder (R51).
Renault don't manufacture batteries....
@@jdmguy44 didn’t say they did, just said it says Renault on it. All doesn’t manufacture their parts, they get it from other manufacturers and put their name on it. Don’t need to tell me fella, been in the motor trade for over 10 years to know how they work.
They share a chassis with Renault (and the diesel engines come from the latter) but the X trail is Nissan, including all the petrol engines, the gearboxes, the 4WD mechanics.
The X trail was developed in Japan by Nissan. The Renault Koleos is the Renault version, but this too was developed by Nissan and built by Renault Korea.
My car has Yuasa on the battery. I guess Yuasa is building cars now..
Nice motor and super cool with the cap on Matt👍🏻
Another cracking video Matt, the change of hat from front to back did crack me up 😂
Great video Matt and lucky buy with this car. Looked great when it was buffed! I'm sure that won't be in your next garage tour
Rather jolly car. And another enjoyable video after a long Friday, thanks Matt and I hope you get that decent profit.
I actually like this shape of the X-trails. Loving the way you were wearing the hat. Great video as always/
Another good video Matt ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍👍👍👏👏👏👏
Haha the climate is a pet peeve of mine as well!
Every car I get in with automatic climate control. It's always on manual fan flow, hi or lo. Set the temp and forget about all year long!
20.5 for me!
Heaps of these in Australia, mainly 2.5 petrol with CVT. Known to be prone to head gasket failure with the CVT very unreliable. A major problem is the placing of the A/C condenser behind the dashboard which is an all day job to replace. Cheap as but, so the money you save on purchase you can put towards repairs.
Hi matt good motor nice little run about the 👍👋
You made me laugh Matt when you put the cap on ,wasn't expecting that 😂
Cap lookin good bro is it!
Great result matt and a nice well specked motor pity it never had leather but at least it brought back fond memories of your aunties couch good luck with the sale will make a nice family car 👍
I bought a 2012 X-Trail T31 2.0 petrol new on run-out (last of the boxy model). $30,000NZ (£15,000). We had that car ten years. Did over 250,000 trouble-free kilometers in it, and explored every inch of NZ together. Might be seen as a dull dad car but it meant a lot to us and was part of the family.
Great video as always Matt... Is there no chance the chain could need done at that mileage?
Good luck with it!
Great video HPA, nice work Matt,a result for you, maybe it's time to buy more nissan X trail's 😂👌👍
Nice HAT,,, :) what an excellent find Matt
Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo! That was a great edit with the hat. Made me chuckle. 😄
The hat is simply perfect 👌🏼
Nice card them Matt, I also like the quaski too
I purchased a 2023 X-Trail (not the new shape) for my wife. Living in Australia, the car naturally came with air-con and auto transmission. She loves the car and I have to say that I do too. This is the second one that we have purchased. Mind you, I still look longly at my neighbour's Fiat 130 Coupe.
totaly rocking that hat! haha! love the content as always ! those 1.6 disiel engines are pretty reliable compared to cough cough "ford vauxhal and other rubbish!" although im a sucker for a high milage PD150 lump! plenty of train pulling power😂
I would have given the cap a thorough valeting before wearing it, loved the video Matt.
Great video. For the new owner let’s hope it doesn’t have the awful AdBlue system on it. My brother in law has a 2017 X-Trail and he’s had nothing but problems with the AdBlue sensor and the injector.
Good video and you didn't over spend again!! think your getting the hang of this car dealing game now 😂 Be good to know when you sell these cars maybe.
A really good result... This vehicle looks excellent and is definitely a great deal at that price..
Nice, and I’ve been looking to PX my Volvo V40 for an X-Trail.
Chain driven cam had it in my grand scenic a while back also a 15 plate.
Hahaha that "leave it at 22, that's the perfect temperature" section could be at a low cost horror movie 😅
What a great result Matt, you’ve found a gem there.
The back to front hat made you look like you were auditioning for a 90’s boy band tribute act😂.
Great video as always ❤.
Haha thanks
Hi Matt, great video, good to see Mr WONDERGRIP is STUCK back in his parking spot. Looks like he only works 1 day a year bet his van has a low mileage.
Hi Matt great vid again - one point about your profit margin calculations; what are your fixed costs at your dealership/pitch (rent/rates/maintenance/utilities)? Are they significant per month? Should you include a proportion of these in determining your profit on each car?
love your new hat 😁
Hey Matt loved the video, my dad has the same spec Nissan X-trail 2015 2.0L Petrol and it runs smoothly. Just 2 months back the alternater and the driving belt was changed because it was bogging after 40 km/h. I also think that the Nissan X-trail is one of the best SUVs for under £40k even when compared to its rivals. Let me know what you think Matt.
I've a 2016 one, trouble free comfortable motoring with low running cost, very happy with mine.
Hello am thinking of getting this car (but automatic as I only have an automatic license) is it any good ?
"it drives alright, I think ive had a result" yea you said that about the focus before it needed a full engine rebuild
Like your jumpers Matt where are they from ?
I have been driving since 1986.....
using cars for work.. company cars..90k a year.. all weather
and none of them have ever been 4 wheel drive.....
and I survived without...
Advantage of please..?????
winter tyres... for the win
Love the vids..
N x
Another nice tidy motor, Nissan are good cars, take the miles too. Love the hat Matt, surprised you put it on since the car was minging! 😎😂
Cars are so so. They have been declining since early 2000's. New nissan diesels are crap, quality is shit also
I wouldn’t have touched it!
Had a qashqai from new. Lease through work as we were broke. Turbo failed at 70k. Heater blower control unit packed up at 50k. Slow, thirsty, poor handling. Not particularly spacious. Avoid.
@@TB1M1 Not true, new Nissan diesel the 1.5 from the Renault/Nissan/Merc group it is veru good...the same diesel that is found in Dacia Duster. This 1.6 dci is the Renault R9M chain driven and is one of the best diesel engines out there. Even the new 1332 petrol engine is very good. You are confusing the cars from Europe with those from the USA with the poor CVT box and the bad engines
@@mrmrmrcaf7801 The offering in UK Europe is different. Here in NZ we have the Japanese built Nissan, quality isn't good bad paint, rust defects, rusty cross members. They drive nice though with exception of the EPS which is a bit dead.
The hat was hilarious, I nearly wet myself when Matt put it on back to front!
Hi matt, great job on the Nissan, not to sure about the hat is there a bin handy lol, from marty in Belfast northern Ireland God bless
Triangle tyres you have to put a toblerone in glove box for new owner😮
All ways good videos glad you did away with that hat thou lol
I loved the original x trail. It was robust like a tank. Good enough offroad cause high ground clearance. But also good on the road. Fifth gear picked it their best suv in comparison to rav4, forester, honda crv, outlander and the american imports.
Quite a big car for a 1.6 but I suppose because it’s a diesel that’s enough power 👍🏻 great video and a more than reasonable profit! Nice one 👍🏻
Never thought we'd see Matt wearing a cap
Haha I don’t suit them
I need a 7 seater so I have considered these but a newer one maybe from 2019/20 onwards, still undecided but thanks for the video mate.
Manual is great, the CVT is a known trouble
thats not a seven seater its a 5 seater + 2 amputees
Hey Matt reckon you should keep your lucky hat..didn't look half bad!
The hat got me Matt :)
Hi Matt who can ever beat Smithy Lane on a nice sunny day, Nice video should be a profit
The cut to you in the hat made me laugh, then the cut to the hat on backwards absolutely cracked me up - the tuft of hair sticking out nailed it!!
The hat suits you Matt, very Tin Tin meets PJ & Duncan (joking) 😂 great video as always!
I remember a friend of mine owning one of these in its early days and wow it was cheap plastic inside but looking at this they seemed to improve on the dash quality and looks wise.
It would be interesting to have a video on how actual sales/negociations go - do you often get asking price or is it a mix of that and under ask?
The cap made me chuckle 😂
I've watched so many of Matt's videos but I wasn't expecting 12:10
I brought my wife an X Trail a few years ago and it was a brilliant car. It was only a 1.6 turbo diesel but it was by no means under powered, infact it pulled really really well...
"I brought my wife an X Trail"... where did you bring it from?
@@AHoundOnAHondathe shops 😂
@@DubSalvation Perhaps he bought it, then brought it! 🙂
Nice one👍
Used to sell these new. Can have issues with dpf if not run enough.
You don't have to park by trees to get algae like growth on seals. It just seems to grow!
In Australia and New Zealand we call them X-Fail's mainly due to the CVT Transmission that was only available in our market. Other than the CVT they are reasonable cars.
Class, as usual..😅
Nice colour 👌
Any older X Trail videos? Great utility cars. These look soft.
Hope the new head lice are keeping well
I don't agree with you on Bosch wiper Blades Matt. They used to be good but lately the quality has gone downhill do i switched to Lucas.
I really fancy one of these. Cheaper than the equivalent RAV4 by a country mile second hand. I was pleased to see how well it looks after a decent valet.
My attention was diverted for a second and when I returned to the TV Matt had a hat on backwards. 😂😂
I thought he'd lost his mind for a second.
Result! Nice one mate, not sure on the cap to be fair, maybe try wearing it sideways?
Thought you were going to give us a rendition of "Let's Get Ready To Rhumble" with your new hat on.
Nice to see the "Wonder Grip" van hasn't moved
Love my wonder grip Gloves
We love the bargain cars. But we want to see proper wins. They're never a true watch per se. But sod it. Win is a win. Good luck Matt. 👍
Hmmm. Nissan pathfinder this side of the pond. Some of the bells and whistles are the same as my armada platinum. Bit of a mind bender for me to see a diesel 4 banger in a seven seater. The armada is and 8 seater and I love the stonking 5.6 V8.
The Matt in the hat😊
Hired one of these in Florida called a rogue. Was so good
Can't beat a Nissan Matt. I drive, dare I say it a Qashqai 2 litre petrol and it's a flippin lovely car to drive but I have always liked the Xtrail and that one looks a cracker!
