Saying words faster does sound better in every language that's because when you speak faster you can just eat some words and people will understand you anyways
This video just shows how he is such a good teacher! ❤ All through the core grammar lessons, he has been quietly modeling this... he says it very clear and enunciated and then speeds it up to what you will most likely hear in the wild. Great dynamic video though, to emphasize his point! And, this is another book I will have to get! 😅
Strangely enough as a very beginner the sped up phrases (I mean natural native speed!) were much easier for me to repeat immediately than the ponderously spoken versions. I wonder if it’s due to having a poor working memory (maybe adhd related). Until now I’ve been slowing down videos etc to hear every syllable clearly but now I think I’ll try doing the opposite! 감사합니다 송생님 Edit: was going to correct my spelling error but having run the translation I think I’ll just leave it and claim “Mr Song” is what I call our beloved 손생님!! 🥴😬😘
It's so difficult for me to say things slowly so speeding it up is even more difficult!! This is so helpful though, and I'll definitely be practicing this!! Thank you!!
Oh, now that you mentioned it, that's my technique when I speak English, too! People usually say I sound natural and kinda fluent! I'll try it in Korean. Thanks for the tip 쌤! :)
In Ireland, Scotland and Scandinavia/Nordic countries we sometimes have an ingressive sound ( called pulmonic ingressive) when saying "yes" (or "aye"). You inhale and say yes at the same time. I think in Norway and Sweden they don't even say yes they just make the sound of breathing in. But I've found myself doing it for Korean words too. Especially 맞아요 like imagine saying "아 네 네 맞안요 맞아요" but breathe in on each word quickly. It sounds like a dog panting sometimes.
I linked some videos in the comment above. Basically start the word and immediately inhale. Just do a yeah first. So “ye…” inhale. Imagine saying “oh” in surprise and opening your mouth. It’s that type of intake only with your mouth less open.
Honestly what I need mostly in korean help is just someone make a videi take like 20 korean sentences and translate them LITTERALLY to english and in the same word order so my brain can understand how koreans actually sound when they speak and maby maby the rest owudnt be so hars but I havent found any. Video on this just particle videos and breif videis qhere they say korean is a sov language and they give two example sentenses and thata that and they exolain way to much with arrows and to much tex no just say a sentence in korean and say it again in english and say it literal so it will come out like 'I to watch football went" or whatever and do that with luke 20-30 sente ces so I can get the jizst. THATS what I REALLY need to see on youtube because comming from a svo la guage like me nothing makes sense. Its not evrn as easy as "speaking backwards" its not backwards its like a combo of backwards and forward.
Idk about one w that many examples in one, but they have several shorts here at least, and I've seen other creators do some too, called If English had Korean grammar or something.
I’ve been learning Korean since 2021 but still now I can understand but replying is really huge issue 어떻게 해야 할지 모르겠다 @TalkToMeInKorean I need your guidance

the inhaled "ssssss" is probably the thing that will make you sound native lmao
God I’m so jelly, your English is even better than mine 😅
How do the levels of respect work? Do the books include them?
I can't talk fast enough in my own language 🥲but i'll try doing this. Thanks for another great video!

But how do you make vowel sounds and voiced consonants on an inhalation?!
HOW?!? it’s impossible to inhale and speak at the same time!
Idk but I want to do it and I’m so confused 😭
@@michaelcorbett4236 Michael you better reply!! We’re so confused here lol!!

Once he sped up, I couldn't make out one to word. And that's what happens to me when I'm watching my Kdramas.

And it's okay to talk fast but not too fast that nobody can't understand lol, some natif people don't pronounce well lol
I recommand people to talk, make their own sentence and they will sound more natural than reading your book.
