I am South African, I have just discovered I love Nigerian Food and i think the it is the best in the world. Various natural flavors used it is culinary art.
Hi SisiYemmie. I just watched your video and it was of super help. My mum told me to make semo for her and my dad before she gets back and I’ve never made semo before. She actually put me through but when I tried, it came out a complete disaster. Already feeling distraught I threw what I made away and was about to just call and ask her if I should just make eba, but something said I should check TH-cam and see whether I can get an alternative method and I saw your video. I tried it and it came out really well. In fact I used your method to make fried rice the first time I ever properly made it and it was totally delicious. I just wanted to show my appreciation. May God bless you abundantly and continue to bless the works of your hands. I look forward to watching more of your amazing videos ❤️
You cook like my mum, Sisyemmie. This is exactly how I grew up eating ogbono with okra and vegetables. Amazing. I have ogbono in my freezer but it is now like I should cook another one😀
Sisi yemmie's recipes are my go-to whenever I am out of ideas on what to cook. Thanks dear you are God sent. I have one question though, how long did grill the Goat meat and was it low heat? OK I know it's 2 questions...
I enjoyed your approach to teaching this, I learnt with ease and cool with the methods you teach, I have not personally made semovita and ogbono myself,my mum had always made it for me, I'm approaching my 30 so I want to begin to enjoy this recipes myself so I deliberately wanted to start making it that's why I decided to watch TH-cam videos but I think I had gotten the perfect and easy methods here. I'm ok with it. Thanks a bunch, I enjoyed your video
I like my Ogbono mixed with Okra. That's how I learned to eat and cook it. I love pounded yam or oatmeal better than semolina. I have not had semolina in a decade. Just not my thing. Thanks for sharing Yemisi. Your Ogbono soup looks yummy and delicious.
I don't like semo, but after watching this video, i tried making it with this method, and it was just so good. Thank you Sisi Yemi. I now like semo cos of you😍

Wow! You just reminded me the yoruba way of cooking ogbono but without the ugu. I feel its takes longer this way, so I dont cook it like that anymore and thats how I prepare my semo too. I have not eaten semo and ground rice for years. I ate too much of them, my early years living abroad🤣 Seeing this video Im going to buy semo soon. It looks so good. Thanks👍
I love my ogbono without okro, I have never tried it with uziza, will definitely give this a try. This style is quite different from mine, came out looking so delish. Weldone Sisi
truthfully adding a bit of uziza seeds or leaf takes dishes like ogbono, coco-yam base soups(oha/bitter leaf) to another level. but i do prefer the seeds...they add more heat and flavor
Your Semo and Ogbono soup looks delish! *Yemisi,* I like this recipe, it's mouthwatering and ready to be eaten at once and enjoyed! Thanks for sharing, take care and see you next time.
I miss ogbono soup, I actually like adding this vegetables in my ogbono soup, utazi or bitter leaf goes as well, please DHL mine oo, delicious 😋, thanks for sharing.
