James Brown is a surprise guest at the Dave Matthews Band concert on 12/21/02 at MSG. Together they jam Brown's "Get Up (I Feel Like Being A) Sex Machine ". Karl Denson's Tiny Universe also guests and James Brown is accompanied by the Soul Generals. VHS screenshot. Previously uncirculated. The very end (reprise) was not filmed (cut) - inserted still shots.

I stood in line for almost 8 hours to get tickets to this show. I still can't believe I was there. We were all dancing so hard that the building was literally shaking. Best night of my life.

Most memorable DMB show for me by far... I love that in this video you can hear just how loud the crowd was. MSG was literally shaking. So awesome, when we wondered how they could possibly top that they followed it up with Halloween.
I still have pieces of confetti that covered the audience.

This was probably one of the best DMB shows I've ever been to. The crowd was electric that night. It was like there was something in the air. When he introduced James Brown, the roof came off. Great show. I rarely go to shows, so when I left MSG that night, DMB fans kept telling me you have no idea how lucky you were to see that show. I wasn't aware of how big this concert was until about 5 years later when people were still talking about it.
