"Do you completely promise to jump in the canal? I don't want to run out there, and come back in 10 minutes and find you fucking hiding in a cupboard"🤣🤣🤣🤣 For some reason, this line cracks me up every time I hear it!!
Because it is absolutely fucking hilarious. Given the circumstance and if you could just imagine him coming back and finding him hiding in a shower or something...
I love how at the start their like "Get out of my fucking way " "No I Wont get out of your way , youll have to go through me " " Well obviously not gonna go through you am I with your baby in there, I'm a nice person, could, you just get out off the fucking way please" I love this little exchange , This is true gangsta.
The "...I totally swear", her way of saying, "fuck off", Ray being fussy about Harry not knowing which side the canal is on...just this entire film is brilliant.
In hindsight, the whole meta joke behind "Don't be stupid, this is the shoot-out!" is actually a huge foreshadowing to Seven Psychopaths, which is arguably one of the most meta movies I've ever seen.
@A smoking ChickenFish I was expecting more from Seven Psychopaths, considering i really liked In Bruges. It's not bad but it should rather be skipped.
Harry: Don't be stupid, this is the shootout. I love how eager Harry was for this shootout. He traveled god knows how many hours from London to Bruges, put up with Eric's whining about how Ray made him lose his eye, was let down by Ken's Ghandi act and now Marie was standing in his way. I don't blame him for getting frustrated. The man just wanted his damn shootout and he's getting it god dammnit!
I can appreciate that they actually acknowledged that firing from a distance with an handgun is difficult especially under stress. The 1911 is an excellent choice of weapon for such occasions.
@@pretzelstick320 I'll never understand why ray didnt grab onto the side of the boat though. Sure the river's freezing, but between that and a bullet to the torso, y'know. Even if it is a difficult shot.
It seems to me that Harry (Ralph Fiennes) did go left after all, because (if you watch closely) it took him awfully long to get to the BIG FU**ING CANAL
@@acidtwin Nope. BIG DISAGREE. Tarantino's movie never made a pure black comedy dominant movie before this. Tarantino had bits of humor for sure but NOWHERE near prominent or dominant as it is in McDonagh's movies. A hard disagree. Inglorious Basterds is one I can think of but it came after In Bruges.
Way too far away.....my man....Ralph fiennes is a living wirehead and a bullet from that specific gun he's holding travels faster than the speed of sound...... he's not going to suddenly go "I'm going home back to Kent" is he
The way Harry defends himself for not knowing exactly which way to go as he's only just got there lol
Well I’ve only just got here in I 😂😂

I think Harry means that he's a polite person (he's far from nice).

I had to watch Seven Psychopaths after this and when I came back to watch In Bruges again I noticed it too.

The hell you guys talking about 7 psychopaths is great
@@Fanthomas1742 I'm with Rick on this one
I love the way he shouts 'It’s a big fucking canal' even his reaction was brilliant 😂
This scene is comedy genius. My favorite line has to be "What? Who says it?" Lmfaooo always makes me die laughing
Ralph Finnes is THE BEST =)))))) Dont be stupid... this is the shootout =))) classic !!!
I think the guy is a sociopath :-)
I both love and hate how underrated this movie is. Definitely in my top 3 of all time favourites.

Haha. Except it was more of a turkey shoot since Colin Ferrell dropped his gun 😂
Less than 50 min flight, actually. Well, you gotta fly to Brussels then drive to Bruges; beautiful village.
@@rci30 he took the train, you can see it in the deleted scene where he berates a passenger LOL
"This is my hotel so you can fuck off" xD
i love how reasonable harry is about not shooting till she’s left 😂😂
Criminally underrated
all right yeezus i just got here haven't i
1-2-3 Go!. This looks more like "hide and go seek" then a shootout.
Ray severely underestimated the marksmanship of the same man who was the original partner of his partner/mentor .

Fiennes is so great in this. No character quite like him.
Ralph played his butt off in this movie👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤
The soundtrack. Utterly brilliant and memorable.
When I went to Brugge I went to the exact same hotel. Took me a while but I found it 😁
Seeing Ralph in Schindler’s List and Harry Potter before this is SO WEIRD
Also the Grand Budapest Hotel, Strange Days, English Patient.
Holy SHIIIIIT. just realized he plays the nazi commandant Oscar Schindler had ties with.
I don't wanna run out there, come back in ten minutes and find you fuckin' hidin' in a cupboard.

Strange fourth wall break. Even the girl looks surprised. So funny.

That face when he shoots him. Fiennes is the master
The music is absolute genius
the look on her face is hilarious.
My favorite Christmas movie
Hiding in a cupboard 😂
Turn right for the canal, left for the alcoves.... Am I saying that right? Alcoves?
best movie ever!!!
just put Ralph Finnes in every movie and i'll be happy
love this movie
"w-why dont you both put your guns down"
"dont be shtoopid"
IT'S AN INANIMATE FACKIN OBJECT
@Raymonda hakana 🥂
This could only be a British movie. The Americans could never come up with a script like this.
*Irish.
@@adamcole4623 so in what sense is it an Irish film?
To be fair the script is heavily inspired by the Tarantino style, so not quite true.
We've come up with dozens of movies with a better script
