    If you are looking to have custom products become more passive for your print on demand business then I highly recommend trying HelloCustom which will actually automate this entire process for you: hellocustom.io/?via=taylorpod

      Hi Taylor. How will you handle the SKU in the case of HelloCustom as they require to have the SKU? I am wondering if they do this immediately or you need to wait 24h for submission to printify. Thanks

    Thank you so much for this video...all your videos! I'm a 65 year old Mimmie of 4 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. I'm 2 months into POD and really enjoying it. My struggle is ME! hahaha...I worked in technology all my life but since I've retired some of my confidence and skills have decreased. I LOVE how you explain things in a way I can understand them! Thank you for taking the time to help me....all of us! God Bless!

    Thank you, Taylor. How about combo listing with multiple products from different print providers + personalization? I saw many sellers with listings that includes T-shirts, sweatshirts, long sleeves etc from babys to adults with different colors, with different print providers and with personalization. Thanks

    I i’m so grateful that you set this up. I want to start off using customization because with the research I’ve done it blows everything else out of the water. However, I understand it’s going to be labor-intensive if I get a lot of orders. Wish there was an easy way to make this automatic lol. By the way, I’ve been on Etsy since 2012. I did not know anything about this print on demand business til recently. I’m blown away after I’ve done the research I’m in the wrong business so I’m moving into this. Wish me luck! By the way, I absolutely hate the new version on Etsy !

    I've watched several videos on how to do custom items between Etsy & Printify and this is the first time I finally got it! The others made it sound like you had to create it first in ETSY and then do a draft in Printify. Really confusing. Thanks so much!

    Thank you for such a clear tutorial! I see tutorials, where they say click "draft" rather than "publish" in Printify for personalization. I am confused on that part, when do we click "draft" and when do we click "publish" for personalization? Also, would you please consider doing a tutorial on how to save our editable designs in Kittl and Canva? That would be so helpful. One last thing, do you pull down your opacity on your Kittl mockup design before downloading it for Etsy, like we do in Canva?

    Thank you for this video! It worked great for my first product test. Then I had a customer purchase two items from my Etsy shop. One with a SKU and one without a SKU (needed customization). Turns out when this happens the one with a SKU comes over to Printify but the one without a SKU I had to manually enter that order for the customer. I contacted Printify and this is what they recommended. Have you ever had this issue?

    You make the BEST videos- thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. What would happen if a single customer ordered several sizes of a listing. For example, if it was a sweatshirt being customized, if they purchased three total... one size small, one size medium and one size large. Would that come through to other orders on one order? Or three orders? And would they all be shipped together since ordered together? Thanks!

    Thanks Taylor, great information on customizations. I just added a few custom ornaments yesterday and got an order today! I didn’t know about the hack to remove the sku’s. Waiting to hear back from the customer on a design preference, but since I didn’t remove the sku’s (and will be manually submitting the order) I was going to upload the new file for the customer customizations then submit and once it’s processed then take the sku’s out for future orders. Thinking this will be a good workaround? I also like the old Etsy listing form! Loved your interview with Heather! 👏🏼👏🏼

    Thank you for the great video! I recently started my Etsy shop, and I have a background in graphic design. Now, I have a question: Do you send an image of the custom order mock-up to a customer so they can see what the product will look like? Otherwise, some might say, 'Oh, this is not what I wanted.'

    • @TaylorPOD
      @TaylorPOD  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I do not unless the customer specifically requests it. It would be incredibly time consuming and delay production. I keep customization pretty basic so there really wouldn’t be any surprises to how something turned out. Also, thank you for being here and watching this video! 😊

      Thank you for your response. I have another question. You suggested leaving the SKU blank. I'm selling sweaters with multiple color options, offering personalization as an option. Some customers might order without custom text. Do I need to keep SKUs for those who don't need custom text? Essentially, I'd like SKUs for customers without custom text to enable automated production. For those who want custom text, can I still manually process their orders with SKU?@@TaylorPOD

    Hi Taylor! Thanks for this informative video! Just a question: What happens if you want to add three variations to your listing (besides the personalization option), say three colors of the horse (or the hair color of the rider, whatever...) which the buyer can pick from a drop-down menu, then how will you know which variation the buyer selected when there are no SKU numbers connected to the variations? Will you see the chosen variation under the Printify "Other Orders" tab, along with the typed in names and date?

    • @TaylorPOD
      @TaylorPOD  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My best recommendation to do something like this would be to actually create a listing photo that shows all of the “options” for example for hair color. Number those hair colors and in the personalization box have the customer type in which number they’d like. Hope this makes sense!

    • @TaylorPOD

      Your SKU's should transfer over automatically if you are inputting your listing from Printify. If they aren't populating then I would confirm your Etsy store is connected to your Printify account. It's important to be creating the listing on Printify - if you are creating the listing on Etsy first then the SKU numbers will not populate.

    • @TaylorPOD
      @TaylorPOD  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question! No, the Etsy listing will not reflect that and generally if you’re using printify as a print provider I don’t recommend allowing the stock to be adjusted on Etsy. The reason being with printify having a multitude of print providers to choose from - stock issues really don’t come up in my experience. I have never experience not being able to fulfill an order due to stock in thousands of sales.

    Hi Taylor,
    Have you ever had a customer order a custom item as well as a non custom item? I just ran into this, and since the non custom item had a sku and the custom item didn't, when they went from etsy to printify, my custom item was lost and didn't transfer, after going through quite the back and forth with printify's help chat, apparently if two items are ordered together and one has a sku and one does not, the one without will not get brought over, it's basically lost. Have you run into this? Any advice for this?

    • @TaylorPOD
      @TaylorPOD  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes I have run into this - I personally am very active each day with my orders in my shop which helps with this.. So when I receive an order on two items (1 custom, 1 not) - I edit the order in Printify prior to submitting it for production.

    Abouts SKUs... we have to change every single SKU if it's a T-shirt design, right? Do we blank them all or put a word or something?

    • @TaylorPOD
      @TaylorPOD  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      For custom products, I typically leave the sku blank so that it shows up in the Other Orders tab in Printify. This allows me to manually add in my custom design to fulfill the order with no issues.
      For a more automated approach, I have started integrating my custom designs with HelloCustom, with this way of doing it you would leave the SKU for the product and upload the same custom design into Printify as you do HelloCustom and that software will actually modify the design for you.

    I still use the old version too. The new version doesn’t allow me to
    View or change postage etc. I’m also a creature of comfort 😂

    How do you personalize with photos on Etsy using Printify?

    • @TaylorPOD
      @TaylorPOD  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Like a customer sending you a photo for an item? Is that what you mean?

    • @Tawny593
      @Tawny593 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TaylorPOD A customer wanting you to add an image they provide to an item for personalization. Like their dog's photo put on a blanket or pillow. How do you do that in Etsy? Do you need a separate app?

      @TaylorPOD  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Tawny593 I just would have the customer send the photo through Etsy messages! I would explain this process in the listing photos as well as in the personalization box so that they understand the entire process. :)

    I enjoy watching your content, but you might want to think about investing in a mic 🎤

      Thanks for the tip! I do have a mic. I’m not sure how to set it up different for it to work better. I’ll do some research 😊
