Thank you for this detailed tutorial. I have a few questions.
1) With HelloCustom cancelling the "incorrect" orders that are sent to Printify from Etsy, is that going to ding our Printify accounts bc so many orders are being cancelled?
2) Also, wouldn't it make sense to save the PDF Print file with a transparent background before you upload it to HelloCustom? That way, you don't have to do it every time you go to approve the approval card.
3) In the future, will you have a way to have the order go directly from Etsy to HelloCustom instead of going to Printify first and then HelloCustom having to cancel that order and send a new one to Printify?

Great Tutorial and all seemed perfect for me - a brand new POD seller - hope you can answer this, I have subscribed to HelloCustom and have been trying to get to grips with it. Major hassle with the lack of fonts.... they seem to be sparse and not co-ordinated with the likes of Canva - is this being addressed? My main issue is the inability when trying to add variation to add the from my draft list on Etsy - the software is just not reading the list - am I missing something?? Help very much needed.

Well, I am trying the 14 day trial today. I'm in hour 3 of trying to change text font. If Hello Custom doesn't have all Canva fonts this process is very difficult. I haven't even completed the template and ready to give up on this.
Another issue is layering all your graphics correctly in Canva before uploading into Hello Custom. This is a struggle to.
The text is black going on a black shirt…does that change based on color of the shirt? Or is the text always the same for each variant?
This is a great video and tool and I'm definitely going to explore adding personalization to my store.

If the customer only wrote "Sarah 2024" would your program recognize it, or do they have to write the words "name" and "date" before each in the personalization section?

How does printify feel about all of the cancelation data
In your example you selected a black shirt. But your text in the design file is black. It would be nice if your approval card showed the shirt color so you can see and correct it before sending to print. Also.. why do the colors on the approval card look totally different vs the colors in the design area. CMYK vs RGB? Do you offer a free trial so we can test before paying?
Great questions! In this example, we uploaded a PNG to Printify that uses RGB color profile and downloaded the PDF as a CMYK. If I downloaded the PDF as RGB, the colors would look the exact same. The printers that print the product use CMYK, so there will be no difference in how the product comes out 👍

Am confused about PDF Print download, in One video you said RGB and the other you said CMYK, which one to actually use for pdf? I tried my first order and the quality came pretty low despite using high resolution png, i am wondering if its related to PDF Print format as the order is being placed by Hellocustom.

I have uploaded a CUSTOM bridal shirt that was created in canva 4 times as PDF PRINT (CMYK) and when it comes over to hello custom the image in the center is lost. There’s no support on the weekend so the listing can go live until at least Monday if I hello custom. It would be difficult to keep up with the demand for a custom orders on my own.
Frustrated.

It doesn't happen like in the video that the font becomes smaller. But on the contrary it goes further and moves the left and right margins. What am I doing wrong? Thank you!

Hello great tutorial, I just got the lifetime membership. I was wondering though I saw somewhere that changing the title in Etsy could affect the integration fulfillment process. What is the walk-around to this. Do I need to change the Title in Prinify first then republish to Etsy and then reconnect to HelloCustom or do I have to redo the whole listing. Thanks for your prompt reply.

Just an FYI, you can't upload a PDF made in Kittl and expect it to work. Canva PDF works fine, but not a Kittl PDF.
Hey Stephen- Thank you for the awesome content you put out! I've learned so much from watching your videos as well as from interviews you do on other channels. My question: You've mentioned a couple of times in your HelloCustom tutorials that there's only one print provider that does ceramic ornaments. Does that mean that becoming a print provider for ornaments would be a lucrative business endeavor? 🤔

It would require hundreds of thousands in startup costs, and you would have to pay for a warehouse year round and hire/train dozens and dozens of holiday workers for only 45 days of work. It would work, but be a logistical nightmare.

Is it possible to convert my existing non-personalized listings on Etsy to be personalized with Hello Custom? In your video, you said we must have the personalized listings on Etsy first, so what does that mean? Is it that I should add personalization field to my existing non-personalized etsy listing to make it accept personalization details first?
Noticed the pngs are all 5000 x 5000 in canva. Is this ok for most products on printify or do you have to ensure pngs are 300dpi?

Printed Mint has much better pricing for ornaments and you suggested that we can make them for our shop since X-mas is right around the corner. Are you planning on integrating with Printed Mint? If so, when? Thanks
We currently only integrate with Printify, but plan on integrating with other providers in the new year. We will have more options by next Christmas.
You could still use HelloCustom to personalize the graphic, download it, and upload to the Minted order manually
Printed Mint offers many ornaments through Printify!

Wait, the HC created order had different colors on the text in the new graphic? It looks like it ramped up the color saturation. Is this a known bug?
I saw the same thing, it is very noticeable in the "N" in nurse
it's due to the CMYK & RGB selection that made the color differences
I need help with PDF file size. I used a simple design on Photoshop, 300 dpi, face cloth template from Printify, I merged all my items except the "name" file. When saving as a PNG to upload to Printify, I save it at 19.3 mb (I think this will guarantee a great looking result. ( I hope) Not an expert). When saving as PDF, I do not change anything, I keep "preserve photoshop editing capabilities" and "optimize for fast web preview", I have clicked and tried all compatibility choices, changed and tried all adobe pdf presets and the file is way to big for Hellocustom. I use Adobe Acrobat to compress the file, upload to hellocustom in a acceptable size, just to have it not recognize the text!!!! Been trying for days. Please advise on what I should do, buying a subscription to Canva is not an option since I pay for a Creative Cloud subscription.

Can you do a tutorial for a tee shirt that a customer would send a picture of their dog and I would place it between 2 lines of text - one line above the picture and one line below it - should I do a background where I place the picture or leave it empty? Thanks
I need help with the tags. I uploaded a pdf just as you show in the video and when I attempt to click on the name to tag it, it is not able to. Even though I uploaded the exact pdf file, HC does not break it apart like it shows in your video. It is all one document and there is no removing the name for the customization part. Please help!!
How do you replace the text after you have removed the background from the PNG file? You just said we must remove the text and change it to a transparent background. And then, how do we add the text back?

you guys need to work on color fonts, Hello Custom does not read them, plus you need to ad a button to upload a font without the need to going back and forth to see if is available in Hello Custom, also need a font list that is visible BEFORE one uploads a design

Great question! As of right now HelloCustom only looks for names, no quotes. But maybe in the future, we are always adding features!
Is Hello Custom integrated with Shopify?
Total freaking game changer!!! I have one question though, which you covered almost completely at the end (17:01). I made a design in Canva (several, actually) , and then uploaded them into Printify. While I'm there in the editing stage, I had to move the design slightly to fit the area properly before I saved the product. When Hello Custom goes in and creates the personalized graphic, will the adjustment that I made be carried over to the new design, or will Hello Custom automatically center the graphic to the design space?

I use printify but would like to use Tik Tok Shop for my personalized products. Is this an option with Hello Custom?
I’m having a very frustrating time with every step. There is so much time lost waiting for my design to unfreeze between steps like tagging each item or trying to change fonts that I feel like this is a waste of time until you work out the kinks.

Not a silly question at all. :) Wherever you have the text boxes within the template, even if half of the name goes off the edge of the editor box, it will work. :)

When selling products withe variations (i.e. phone cases, ornaments) do we just need to upload one pdf to HC or one for every pattern variation? I'm assuming it's just the text you need and associated SKUs.

How does HelloCustom know where to place the graphic? Is it based on the placement of the graphic uploaded to the product in Printify? Or should the png be the same size as the product template in Printify?
I have a graphic with name and date on the same line, how do I tag that?
Also, I'm using my own mock ups, I noticed it wouldn't pull the sku unless I did the design In. Printify and publish with their mock up which I don't like. I added the sku to my chosen mock up, I can now delete the printify one and I should be fine right? Also doesn't recognize my font🙄
I'm trying the 14 day trial and I love the idea but have some question/feedback:
1. It's bare, almost empty (the user interface). There's not help/tutorials on there at all. Just 1 basic video. Help is non-existent on the website/app itself
2. When I open a PDF it doesn't synch properly and I have to align everything with the canvas again
3. What's the point of uploading a PNG file when you can't tag it like a PDF? I can't anyways, it won't let me
4. The font list is small, I had to re-design and reupload my template because the font didn't exist in printify. It would be nice to have as many as possible so you can synch with all the creator tools out there too (CANVA for example)
5. Why aren't you answering any of the comments in here? There are only 166 and it's been 1 year.

Font "max allowance" doesn't appear to be working for me. Font stays the same size and just stretches the box. The text box size isn't locked in place like it is in the video. Bigger names are just stretching box, not font getting smaller.
I watched this video so many times and still very confusing, I know you're the creator of this system but do you have a link to someone else explaining how to use this system? I'm not a techy person :( and want to be able to offer personalized items to my customers
