This Tutorial is extremely useful because it is comprehensive, you make it easy to understand, and you don't just explain the how, but also the why! I love it, and thank you, you have 1 more sub!.
Omg thank you!!!! I see so many multi option listings and every time I attempt it, I am spinning my wheels and not doing it correctly, which is a HUGE waste of time for a new seller. It already takes me FOREVER to make a listing. I'm going to look through your listing videos because there has to be a way to streamline my design, list, mockup process. I am doing this all the Looooooong way and get side tracked with other ideas. Lol
Great stuff Taylor. Very well explained. I just started my POD store for weather geeks and watching this has helped me understand how to complete my templates, but then publish them to my Etsy account when I’m ready. I need to watch your SEO video next, then see about doing this with Shopify too..
If one was going to add SKUs that day but still wanted a template they could copy the listing BEFORE adding the SKUs. That way you'd be sure to have a draft template. I'll bite the bullet and try this soon.
Hello Taylor, Thanks for the video, really helpful :) I do have a question that hasn't been asked yet in the comment: From 14:06 you explain that it is now possible to copy that new Etsy listing with different variants (tshirts/sweatshirt). So you don't need to create the sweatswirts again in Printify? And if so, am I right to assume that they would not be connected, hence without SKUs (because no product page), and they would appear in "Other Orders"?
Wow Taylor, I have watched a few tutorials on multiple products in one listing and yours is BY FAR the easiest and clearest tutorial! Thank you for your help...again!
Hi! Your videos are GREAT! You explain processes very well, and you're pleasant to listen to. :) I have a question, though. When copying a listing in Etsy, for the same product but different design - 1. What needs to be done in Printify (upload new design)? 2. Could it be copied in Printify instead, change the design there (and then send to Etsy)? Thank you so much! I've learned a lot from you, and you're a great inspiration!
Hi Taylor, you just saved my life with this video, I was completely lost how to add multiple products to a listing, especially when the different products have different color sets. Great! Thanks! I was wondering though that is it necessary to create a product in Printify at all when you delete and leave blank the SKU number fields in the Etsy listing? I would create the product when the first order comes in. Is there any sense in this? Would the order still go over to Printify when there are no SKU references to any products in Printify? Thanks in advance!
This is great information but how would you handle shipping? For example if I offer free shipping, how do I make sure Printify is not going to charge me their regular fee for one item over and over again? Thank you.
Thanks so much! That was ver helpful and much needed. I wasted so much time on copy pasting those SKUs on my multiple listing and most of the time avoided them. I have a question for all you guys, POD sellers, are you getting ready for a q4 season already. I am wondering what is the best time to start publishing all the Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas designs? Thanks
You’re welcome! I always recommend designing 8-12 weeks out for any seasonal event! I am already seeing favorites and sales on Halloween items. So definitely time to get started!
Hi. I hope to be listing my first ad soon. This was so helpful! I'm curious, why wouldn't you list the T-shirt and the sweatshirt separately? It seems like marketing images would be easier if you only had a color variation and not a sleeve variation also.
This is something some sellers like to offer in one listing. Just personal preference for some. I personally do as you’re saying - creating t shirt listings and sweatshirt listings separately.
quick question, do you just need to copy out the SKU numbers from the second, third... item, or is there an extra step required(mark as hidden on etsy, or save as a draft in printify)? Edit: Is there also a way to copy the SKU out of Shopify? Its not working for me and typing every SKU is a PAIN...
HiTaylor, thank you for sharing this tutorial, but can you do a video on how to create 12 zodiac signs with variety of colors of shirts for one listing? I use printify and etsy as well. Ive been stuck on how to set this up in my variations section.
Hi thank you for this vid! Should I create different listings with the same design? I sell mugs, bags, T-shirts and bottles where the same design can be applied. Or is it better to showcase in just 1 listing xx
If you are selling a t shirt and a sweatshirt, do you show both in your first photo, or just the t shirt and in the other photos, show a sweatshirt at that point? Do you link your shirt variations to their photos so when a customer clicks on a variation, it shows the exact shirt they are choosing from the variation drop down? Lastly, do you make videos for each listing or make one and repurpose it throughout all your t shirt/sweatshirt listings? Thanks again Taylor! Love your style of teaching, so easy to follow.
I wouldn't show both a t-shirt and sweatshirt in the first photo. I would just show the different variations throughout the other listing photos I include. I don't typically take the time to link variations, but it's something you could do! I create a unique video for each listing from a standard template so that its re-purposed and still saves times.
What specifically are you looking for information on for the shipping? Im not sure if this helps but I typically just factor in one shipping price and adjust the pricing strategy to reflect the shipping price I choose
Yes the form does look a bit different now for the new version - from using the new version, the steps are still the same the buttons just look a little bit different. :)
Thanks for the video! In your video, you showed creating a listing in Printify for Tshirts first and then a 2nd listing for Sweatshirt (for example). Do you need to publish the 2nd listing to Etsy draft listing or do you just publish the first listing and edit from there?
late to reply to this but you publish the first listing only: the 2nd draft listing is just to get the pricing, SKU, etc from so you can get those numbers
I love your videos and they are very helpful, informative and you have great content. I wish you would go slower when you are doing the pricing and you speed it up. For those of us who are visual learners and not just audible learners it doesn't sink in and we need to have you take the time to walk us through it. Please consider showing exactly what you are doing so that we can learn. Thank so much. Again I appreciate your videos.
Totally understand. If you click the setting icon in TH-cam you can choose the playback speed and actually slow it down for certain parts! I use this function all the time when I am also learning a new skill!
So I have yet to find someone who has made a video about how to go about doing the mockup images for combo listings. Any chance you could go through this? Also, when you create combo listings what models do you usually put in one listing? I am going back and forth trying different ways but it is getting tiresome changing them around. I started putting adult t-shirts, sweatshirts, and hoodies along with the same three for kids all in one listing but then I am trying another combo listing that is of designs that are more usable with toddlers but then that means creating another kind of combo listing unless I just create one with everything with like 1,000 variations. How does everyone else do this?
if you do this and select "show in stock variaants as available and out of stock variants as "sold out," will this also apply to the variants skus that you combine into that listing? It seems that if you have SKUs from other listings all combining into the parent listing that printify might not be able to push the "out of stock," to the parent listing that pertains to the variation SKU.
Etsy listing is so complicated for the beginners if you make video for beginners how to add listing product and how to add printify account to Etsy shop, it's so useful for beginners, I hope you make video step by step for beginners. Thank you❤❤
This was so helpful! One item not addressed was the different shipping profiles. The tshirt is obviously a different price than the sweatshirts. When I published listing, the shipping shows tshirt cost, even when selecting sweatshirts….🤔
Yes you can only have one shipping profile - I suggest creating your pricing structure based off the same shipping price for each product type you’re listing in a multiple product listing. Or having a pricing structure that allows free shipping is also an option.
This is the first video I have seen, where variations like this were included. Thank you! I think that I want it more passive so am willing to do the work up front with entering the SKUs. Do you recommend that I make a "Master Etsy Listing" in draft, and then leave my Printify t shirt and sweatshirt listings in draft, copy/paste the SKUs over to a copy of the Master Etsy Listing, update the SEO, etc, and then publish the one Etsy copy listing? But if it is personalized, I would do it the way you described in this video with leaving out the SKUs, publishing one, keeping the other in draft? (unless I am also using the Hello Custom tool? Does this sound doable?
Hi - two questions: 1. can I create one listing in Printify for two or more unrelated products? Let's say a mouse pad, a mug, and a phone case. Or does it all have to be variants of the same product (e.g. tshirts and sweatshirts)? 2. I have an Etsy website where I sell photography prints. Can I create a new product listing in Printify (let's say for a mug) and then somehow connect that listing to my existing listing in Etsy ? Thanks for your help !
When you copy the product on Etsy and say that it's enough to change the SEO and the design to have a new listed product... then how do you connect the new design uploaded on Etsy to Printify?
Hello,Taylor,I managed variations, and linked images also, but the correct image isn't displayed when i select a specific variation on Etsy,i tried many times, but failed, what is the problem, how to solve it.thanks a lot
Thank you for the video Taylor... Is it possible to create an Etsy listing with 2 different products from 2 different providers? I am thinking of car seat covers and blankets. Thanks again...
Technically yes you could, but I wouldn’t recommend having two completely different product types in one listing. It also can make shipping prices complicated.
Another great tutorial! Few questions... you published the tshirt but not the sweatshirt.. wouldn’t there be a benefit to have separate listings for both AND also a listing that has the multiple product options? And for the multi listing do you have all the products in main photo & title? ie Rainbow Shirt, SweatShirt.
You could absolutely publish and have multiple listings of each, I personally don't do that. But it wouldn't hurt anything to just have more listings besides having to pay the listing fee. For the multiple variation listing I showcase the different variations the design is available on throughout my 10 image slots.
You can add the quantity of what you sell in the variations window. If you have two variations the customer will have to add each individually to their cart or if you have a one variation listing they will have a drop down for choosing their quantity.
Thanks for the guide Taylor. Please can you tell me where you get your product description from for when you list? Do you copy and paste from printify or do you type in from an information page? Thanks Dave
I started building a store on Etsy but my country United Arab Emirates is not included in the list. Does anyone know a platform that I can sell internationally
Hi, Thanks for your helpful content. I have a question, if the customer buy the shirts separately, will printful or printify send the item in the same package or separately.
If a customer makes two purchases, it will input as two separate orders. If they are ordering two items within one purchase, they will input as one order with two items included.
Are the sku numbers specific to the design+garment combined or only the garment blank style sku ID? can you keep the same listing as a template with the sku numbers or are those needing to be updated for every design?
When selling with Printfy on Etsy, can I sell products in more than one category? For example, can I sell coffee mugs, t-shirts and wall panels with an animal and coffee themed design?
Hi Taylor, my question is that if selling custom name Mommy&Me shirts happens in one listing, but with two print providers from Printify, how will it sync into Printify with two different shipping profiles? Other Orders Tab for sure, but as for Shipping profile what is the solution?
I wouldn't recommend having two separate providers - it can be costly and cause confusion for the customer. But if you are choosing to have two separate providers you can only have one shipping profile - so you will have to adjust your pricing strategy to accommodate for that. If your SKU's are included in the listing it will sync properly into your orders on Printify - if no SKU's are included it will sync to the Other Orders tab.
QUESTION... maybe I missed it. Lets say you have 4 products in one ETSY listen (kid tee, kid sweatshirt, adult tee, adult sweatshirt). On Printify, you only need to publish and edit ONE listing? Is that correct? And the rest you "save as draft" primarily for the purpose of getting the SKU numbers? Just making sure that if I publish the "adult tee" listing that has all the variations listed that someone will truly be able to order a kid sweatshirt from that listing.
Why doesn't Printify have the option to add multiple products to one listing, it would make more sense and save so much time, I would like to know why they don't offer this, do you have any idea why they don't, it just seems so more logical to do it through them and have everything sent to your Etsy shop, thanks for the tutorial, it should and could be a much easier process!
Im not sure! I have to imagine it’s a bit more complex on the software side of things to make something like that work effectively which would be my guess
Correct. Yes depending on the way you finalize the listing, which I go over at the end of the video, will determine where the order goes. If you add the SKU numbers, it will show up like a normal order. If you don’t add the SKU numbers, it will appear in your other orders tab on Printify.
I like your video, thank you for your informative video. I am encountering a problem when trying to list over 400 different variants (combination of sizes and colors) on Etsy. I keep getting an error message that says, " The number of variants created from your options (579) has exceeded the limit of 400 that can be varied." However, I have noticed that another seller on Etsy has more than 400 listing variants e.g. They offer 40 size options and 28 colors, resulting in 40 x 28 = 1120 variations, which exceeds Etsy's variation limit of 400. How is this possible?
Your shipping profile is how long it takes to make the item and shipping times. This information is automatically put in for you when you create a new product from your print provider and publish to Etsy.
The steps would be the same, you’d just be entering the variations you have available for your products. You just wouldn’t have to worry about using SKUs from Printify.
Yea, this is way too complicated and leaves a lot of room for errors and unhappy customers. I'd rather just create separate listings and pay $0.20 each.
It’s not that complicated. Once you make few listings you get used to it and in fact it saves you a lot of time. With that method you just edit the variations instead of creating bunch of new listings from scratch.
And to save more time once again what I do I make a copy of the listing than just change the title tags and pictures. That saves even the time from adding variations . As a copy of a listing that already has been made, this new listing will have all the variations categories and details that are needed. And as you change the title tags and photos it’s a new listing and not a copy anymore so it will has the visibility just as a regular new listing.

What about song lyrics? How can we protect ourselves against IP claims related to songs that might have common phrases in them? I got a listing removed for a mug with the words “Call your mom” and Noah Kahan’s lawyers filed an IP claim saying I was “specifically using his likeness.” Unless Noah Kahan is a boho pink rainbow, that makes no sense. He does have a song with that phrase as a title, but good grief, that’s going pretty far. I did check uspto before listing and after the infringement-that phrase is not trademarked. How does one keep up with that?????

Are the sku numbers specific to the design+garment combined or only the garment blank style sku ID? can you keep the same listing as a template with the sku numbers or are those needing to be updated for every design?
SKUs need to be updated each time. They are specific to the product/design you create.
When selling with Printfy on Etsy, can I sell products in more than one category?
For example, can I sell coffee mugs, t-shirts and wall panels with an animal and coffee themed design?
You can sell whatever you want!
I wish to joint your mentorship group. However, I am on vacation till January 5th. Could you consider another group later on?
Hey! The group simply just launches on January 1st but it will be open to join at any time 😊
Hi Taylor, my question is that if selling custom name Mommy&Me shirts happens in one listing, but with two print providers from Printify, how will it sync into Printify with two different shipping profiles? Other Orders Tab for sure, but as for Shipping profile what is the solution?
I wouldn't recommend having two separate providers - it can be costly and cause confusion for the customer.
But if you are choosing to have two separate providers you can only have one shipping profile - so you will have to adjust your pricing strategy to accommodate for that. If your SKU's are included in the listing it will sync properly into your orders on Printify - if no SKU's are included it will sync to the Other Orders tab.
OMG thank u thank u thank u thank u thank u thank u
I see that in this example you have two variations: t-shirts and sweatshirts. Is there a way to add a third variation?
Yup! You can add as many variations as you wish!
QUESTION... maybe I missed it.
Correct ☺️
@@TaylorPOD Awesome! Thanks for replying so quickly!
TY!!! AWESOME
Hi Taylor sweatshirt can be sold throughout the year or it is a seasonal product. Please advice.
Sweatshirts absolutely sell all through the year! They definitely sell more during the colder months, but I wouldn’t consider them just seasonal. 😊
@@TaylorPOD thanks for quick response
So is the sweatshirt not published? When someone buys a sweatshirt will printify be notified?
Correct. Yes depending on the way you finalize the listing, which I go over at the end of the video, will determine where the order goes. If you add the SKU numbers, it will show up like a normal order. If you don’t add the SKU numbers, it will appear in your other orders tab on Printify.
Thank you so much I was stuck lol 😂
I like your video, thank you for your informative video. I am encountering a problem when trying to list over 400 different variants (combination of sizes and colors) on Etsy. I keep getting an error message that says, " The number of variants created from your options (579) has exceeded the limit of 400 that can be varied."
However, I have noticed that another seller on Etsy has more than 400 listing variants e.g. They offer 40 size options and 28 colors, resulting in 40 x 28 = 1120 variations, which exceeds Etsy's variation limit of 400. How is this possible?
I’m not sure! I personally wouldn’t recommend having that many variations for apparel. I usually only have up to 5-6 colors maximum.
i don't understand shipping profiles! please help!
Your shipping profile is how long it takes to make the item and shipping times. This information is automatically put in for you when you create a new product from your print provider and publish to Etsy.
What if I’m printing my own stuff at home?
The steps would be the same, you’d just be entering the variations you have available for your products.
You just wouldn’t have to worry about using SKUs from Printify.
Would it be a problem to list multiple sellers on the same listing on Printify on Etsy?
Im not sure what you mean.
I’ve done this. It’s a pain in the butt and time consuming.
Very helpful, thank you sweet Taylor!
Yeah it’s all just personal preference! I do my products individually. But I work with tons of students who like to set up their listings this way!
I watched soo many other videos and was jus confused... U really spelled it out me I appreciate you soo much

Why would printify recommend etsy when they don't help us what etsy owes on shops that were suspended?
What about song lyrics? How can we protect ourselves against IP claims related to songs that might have common phrases in them? I got a listing removed for a mug with the words “Call your mom” and Noah Kahan’s lawyers filed an IP claim saying I was “specifically using his likeness.” Unless Noah Kahan is a boho pink rainbow, that makes no sense. He does have a song with that phrase as a title, but good grief, that’s going pretty far. I did check uspto before listing and after the infringement-that phrase is not trademarked. How does one keep up with that?????
did anyone else has to wait a long time for your etsy store to be verified?
What is the cost for your program?
The POD connection group will be $49/month 😊
very helpful! thanks!
