True, but where they are beneficial is moving your coils like I did to remove them from my valve covers, goes for a much cleaner look. They are good for uses of using custom length or color matching.
I really like the video on how to make up your own spark plug wires , the only problem I have is you do not list the part numbers for the item numbers that you use to strip the spark plug wires , especially grippers where you get them back ? What is the part number for the person that you are using in the video along with guide tool ? But let me know if you can about the crimper's where can you purchase the crimper's ?
The stock wires are basically carbon/graphite fibers inside the silicone cover, they burn-out after a while....the metal core wires dont do this. You wont be adding any horsepower, you will be taking back the horsepower you've been slowly loosing. :-)
Installing better plug wires, along with a better coil, allow a stronger spark to reach the plug. Does it make more power? Not directly, no. Where it does benefit, is in boosted or nitrous applications where extreme cylinder pressures, along with running cold plugs, can lead to spark blow out. Having a better set of wires, and a stronger coil, gives you a stronger arc at the plug, and allows you to run a larger plug gap, which makes for a happier engine.
Lol im not a ricer i own a audi. Which incidently dosnt need spark plug wires being individual coil packs. So as youve said if they add no hp or have any benifet then why spend 10x the amount over standard ht leads!
He's wires suck. I found them very easy to put together was very happy until I tracked down. 3 slight misses under load to the new set of wires I took time to do myself. Slight misses don't bother me but 3 of 6 grounding to an aluminum plenum is really unacceptable
lol, why rage, i only stated that theres no clear advantage, yes they "might" last longer but there just a pimped up version of normal silicone ht leads. id rather spend £25 on a set of standard ones then pay all that money, granted if your going "for example" msd coils and your of course making your own then yes, i would pay the money, but over standard there just isnt any reason, they have benifical reason. like you said it adds no hp or delivering a better spark. rage some were else
this is a "live forum" or "open internet discusion" i can say what i want if the owner of this video dosnt like it they can remove it. im purely saying it poses no advantage, and you went all keyboard warrior over me. lol cool story bro, dude that saying is older then you. and im not making a company sound like a scam, it isnt, used in the right application yes there good, in a your standard 1.1 fiesta then no
Love how the cut the part of installing the boot out and go right from the start to six inches down the wire! MSD is funny!!

40 or 50 Ohms of resistance per foot of wire. Good info to know.

Nice Job!

mat k lol i the same coil over plug setup too...but that's weird I didn't think my car was an Audi. the emblem I thought looked to be an H

Why the insane music?
these have been proven not to effect performance AT ALL.
the only benefit is longer life, not worth the massive jump in money
Take your music and shove it somewhere we can't hear it!
