For the sake of time I'll keep this short. 4 years ago, I lived in a tent on Long Beach Blvd addicted to heroin.. 2 weeks ago, I finally closed a deal for 8 acres of land in Wyoming and in the works to build a house for my mother, my wife's parent's, and my wife and I. Each one, will have their own home's. The story is long, filled with uncomfortably terrible situations, but, that is where you have to take responsibility and literally "be a man ". In 4 years, I went from homeless, to in a position to create a new life for the rest of the family I have left. It can be done. Anyway, be well everyone. Stay safe out there

I'm still in a similar situation. Been giving everyday to my dream of becoming an animator and make animation movies and not a single person has any faith in my endeavours which include my wife and my own parents. I made a big mistake marrying, I think I should've stayed single.

We don't rise to the level of our expectations we fall to the level of our training. Therefore....
    Train... train...TRAIN !!!

Decisive self- critique and introspection as well as self-reliance and self discipline, with a mind to gift ones circle as able without any expectation of reciprocation, are the fundamental principles of strength, my culture and successful networking hence community. There is ALWAYS, room for improvement, evolution and transcendence. I thrive in adversity, love challenges and completely agree with your points. Sovereign af and stronger everyday.

The biggest thing is surrounding yourself with people who are strong and learning to mimic until you make a new you. This is something that people do not do on both sides of the aisle, the needed and helper.

Stumbled across this vdo & I’m so glad I did.
Mom of 2 teenagers boys…. 1 is 17 & 1 is 15. They often said to me…. Mom you don’t know what it’s like to be a man. I said, I agree, but I know what I want in a man. Great vdo…. Forwarding it to the many “boys” I know & hopefully this vdo will help them wake up.

Agree not everyone is equally intelligent or capable, you need to address people who fit into categorical abilities. What area do you live in, I need to go there...After 45 yrs in Liberal California has warn me down. Good discussion and great reminders. I think I have some bleeding wounds now. lol.

I am a liability to myself. Gave too much and collapsed, now career is dead and now at home trying to figure out ground zero. You have obviously never worked for the beast and tried to weigh in on corporate iniatives. God will slap you and tell you to be still for a bit and get you refocussed. I was all over the map and totally get what youre saying.

Don't work out at 100% every day because it doesn't work. Work out at 100% 4 times a week and on your days off jump rope. I know that people will think that jumping rope isn't for them but if you do it for 10 mins a day you will feel the difference.

Resolute podcast which each of us should take stock and be honest in our appraisal of our strengths and weaknesses, liabilities or assets. Reviewing my own backyard as Ryan reeled off his list I was comfortable in judging myself on how to improve and fortunate that I began some twenty years ago a path of taking stock of my life and yes in some cases I have liabilities certainly but I can truly look back and admire my reversal and it took almighty crash to make a change in fact more than make I had to demand it of myself. Tonight I took time to remember that road I went down.

Someday, if you have time, would you consider developing a one day father/son curriculum that churches could use with boys ages Kindergarten- 5th grade? It wouldn’t need to have a Bible study or any of that along with it. Churches could figure out on their own what they might want to pair with it scripture wise. I am children’s church director at my church and I’m very concerned for our boys even though I have some really good fathers. Anyway, I would be very glad to spend money on a curriculum geared toward boys. Thank you

If you're a liability overall, attack one attribute at a time for a season and hold the line on the others. Over time you will most certainly become an asset if you stay the course.

  • @kevb3047

Another question: if you're an asset is it really, truly appreciated by others.
At least be an asset to yourself and put yourself first.
