It’s so refreshing to listen to a real man. Not everyone that have ears will hear. Thanks Ryan for pouring out your heart and sharing your wisdom and knowledge.
You still need to ask people who have succeeded. If you ask someone who tried and failed, and you avoid their pitfalls, there may be other pitfalls that they didn't hit and didn't know to warn you about. There's wisdom in a multitude of counselors.
Great decision making matrix, Ryan! I've definitely found that having my purpose, mission, vision, and values identified makes a big difference for me when it comes to making decisions. It gives me a measuring stick!
@Ryanmichler love your content and idea Brother. Just a quick question, you mentioned your mentor. I believe he and my mentor are friends. Is he a Warrior at heart? Wanted to let you know your message is on point to our learning, keep it up! didn't want to burn anything so the message is vague.
Ryan just wanted to say show was great and I learned a lot. I just wanted to let you know when watching the TH-cam your lighting or the skulls behind you were catching my eye. It was hard to focus on you. I kept looking away and not made the video hard for me to watch. Just wanted you to bring that to your attention. Just an observation. Keep leading on.
Klasse Podcast! Anschauen!

Ok i agree with a lot of what you say but lol BUT there are plenty of successful coaches that may of not been very successful at what it is their cousin coaching bill Belichick and there are plenty of motivational speakers who learned who they are by failing so I love the podcast but this one thing it's like well i know how to play golf but i taught my son how to be a great golfer because sometimes as a coach you can see what the other is doing wrong but you can't fix yourself lol
I'm severely overweight, and definitely know how to lose weight. There is a difference between having the knowledge and being correct and having the credibility. Don't mistake the two. I have the knowledge and I am correct. I just don't have the credibility. For people who aren't that smart, it would be wise to tell them to stay away from me, because the likelihood I will give them good advice is low because my credibility is low. But for someone who can critically think and knows how to research might want to talk to me, haha. A fool will learn nothing from a wiseman, but a wiseman will learn much from a fool.
I'm not trying to start an argument but you do realize that your comment raises an obvious question, right? That being "Why don't you do it if you know how?" I mean, you said you're right so... why not prove it with the results? I've been obese before and slimmed all the way down to being rather fit twice in my life. I've gained some weight back (not even close to what I was but bigger than I'd like to be) but am working it off again. I can show the results I've had in the past and the ones I'm getting now as proof that the methods I use work.
@@RandomPerson-nd2ey well, the obvious answer as to why people don't ask the question is it's none of your business. And I don't mean that in as mean or angry response, hahaha. More just like, it is an obvious question and people don't ask it. But in all honesty, depression. At least that's what I thought it was. Finally got around to seeing a psychiatrist and found out I have PTSD and have probably been struggling with it for the last 10 years or so. I'm actually slimming down already since my diagnosis about a month ago, haha. Again, just because someone is or isn't doing something about their issues doesn't mean they don't have good information. Oddly enough, sometimes knowing what NOT to do is more informative. They were trying to teach a computer how to play chess and were teaching it what good moves were and it played decently well. Up against a grandmaster, though, the grandmaster beat it fairly easily. Instead they taught the AI not to make bad moves and suddenly even grandmasters had a hard time beating it. When you remove all bad options, you are only left with good ones.
@@josephwilliams1915 Ooooh, I totally misunderstood you there man. Yeah, I thought you were different. You're actually doing something about your troubles. I thought you were... how to put this? Okay, life is a journey, right? Sometimes people get wrecked going down that metaphorical highway. Some even seem to do it on purpose. Either way, they cry out for help. I've tried to be a Good Samaritan and lend a helping hand by yanking them out of the wreckage. They slapped me away and crawled deeper in. Okay... that didn't work. They did cry out for help though. I'll try telling them how they can get out. They ignored my advice and added more fuel to the fire. I swear, that some people don't cry out for help because they actually want help. They just want others to watch them burn, you know? I have done that over and over and over again. How many times must I suffer by helplessly watching someone let themselves burn when they don't want my help before it's no longer "mean" for me to just "call the paramedics and keep moving"? I really don't intend to be mean but I just can't do it anymore. I've seen some really messed up stuff, tried to help, saw it get worse, and... yeah, I'm done. Also, I have failed hard before. I wish someone would have helped me out or showed me the way. They didn't so it irritates me a lot when I try to give others the same help I wish I'd gotten when I was in their shoes and they refuse.
@@RandomPerson-nd2ey couldn't have said it better myself. It definitely makes me mad too when people cry for help just for the attention. I'm a solution oriented person. I love the odd summertime days, left alone, outside on a mtn, doing my job, listening to you. I get things done very quickly those days.
A great book on this is “Thinking Fast and Slow” by Daniel Kahneman. Truly life-changing.
I was thinking to buy it
@@doriangraham2644 I highly recommend it!
you can't even believe I made several bad decisions. from yesterday I started reading it
Hell yeah, starting the day off right

I know what to do, I have a mentor, I struggle with staying focus and implementing.
Have you written out your goals? Have you written out a step by step action plan? That really does help.
@@Manlihood I have written my goals down, but not step by step. I will give that a shot. Thanks for the advice.

Ryan, is the Iron Council a community? I need community as well as coaching. I have some big plans, but lack community to achieve it.
Thank you very helpful ✌️👊
Really appreciate this bro
