Fuel tank routing is slick, good job, it look’s great
Thanks for watching
man ...good setup keep up the good work
Thanks for watching
What do you think about the new ram trucks you can order with airbags from the factory?
Nice setup!
Thanks for watching!
Nice and clean
New subscriber Just want say nice ride and thanks for the Inside information 🙏🏼🤗
Thanks for the sub!
That's a sick setup. Simple, clean. I wonder if it would be beneficial to add some tie downs on the rear bed plate, or invest in a small diesel rv generator if you're sleeping in that truck at night. Looks like a good place for a grill ;)
I thought adding a generator. i caculated about a 500.00 in fuel per month for idleing.
@@sandtransllc1824 Look at one of those APU units, can be had used for not too bad and aren't super horrible to install, both Heating and Cooling, as well as battery maintenance.
Nice set up . Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Nice setup.
Thanks for watching!
Looks good, although that bed may be to close to the cab and hit the cab as it the truck flexes going down the road.
Nice, The War Wagon!
Stacey, make sure you install a manual shut off valve on your gravity feed external tank, to be legal. DOT can get you for that. I see that Lucus fuel bottle in the there. Looks good fella.
Oh yeah we got one next to the tank
Best way to hot shot❗️🚛💨💨🏁
Exactly!
Love it man !!
nice. why did you decide to go with a cab a chassis setup? where did you find fenders for the dually tires?
Doing this to my c3500 after it got totalled, rear ended wreaked the bed. Looks awesome + Cmhs wants 6k for a hotshot bed 😳
Did you have to do anything with the incomplete vehicle sticker to register the truck? Would like to do a DIY set up like this, but not sure if I would still have to take it somewhere to get rid of the incomplete vehicle sticker on the door panel?
You are one smart dude. Why pay extra for a RAM when you gonna wear it out. My last RAM went 325,000 miles. My current 2011 RAM has 208,000 and I only put in service Oct. 15, 2020. I buy used but I may change that because the maintenance equals or exceeds the payment on a new one. Still when I repair it I always upgrade.
What did you have to give in Salt Lake for the new truck and who was the dealer? Did you try Dave Smith Motors in Kellogg, ID? How is the new RAM holding up?
I'm kinda looking at Isuzu crew cab chassis to do what you did with the RAM. Much slower truck but built like a tank.
Thanks for all your info.

Nice ride bossman...
Thanks!
Great video brother
Keep it up!!!
Thanks! Will do!
Dam that looks cool ey did u mention something about the registration or i guess I'm asking did u have to register it a certain way because u took off the bed and made it look like this???
I bought it as a cab and chassis. Its listed as a commercial vehicle.
Thats stupid cool!!!!
pretty truck
looks real good!
It was! THANKS!!
Veryy nice set up, what size of metal sheets did u use?
Hell yeah brother looks good.
Glad you like it.
Do we need mud flaps for that set up?
hi, congratulations on your truck, could you say your truck's GVWR?
Yes I can, its 7k
What size poly fenders are those?
You should drill a few weep holes in that fuel/tool base.
Thanks for watching.
Stacey, which poly fenders did you use in your setup? Did you use the ones designed for 17" wheels, or the larger fenders designed for 19.5" wheels? I'm considering a bed-delete on my truck, but I'm uncertain about which size fenders to order. Thank you!
Looks cool but why get rid of the bed?
Great questions. There's a reason for it. payhip.com/b/ZN5U

Ah! Ok 👍 cool
Looks good%!
Thanks for watching
Where did you find the fenders ....looks sick
Ebay.com
Thank you for sharing! Nice work.
Hey! Thanks for watching.
What sizes are the poly fenders and what brand is it? Nice setup 👍
Let me check
Put a Rubber pad under the Aux tank cut to the same size not any bigger to keep rocks out from under it and rubbing a hole! Ask me how I know! Install a spin on fuel filter with water separator with petcock drain under the valve at the Aux tank
thanks
What size is rear plastic fenders and or if u got entire kit pn please reply thx
I got them off of eBay. You need to measure the width of tires on You're truck and that would give you the correct size
Still waiting on registration from dealer. 💪🏽 video. 👍🏽.
We running
I like what you did, plus less hassle because you are technically a tractor. How much does your cab and chassis weigh with fuel tanks full?
Not sure the weight. I guess 6-7K
@@sandtransllc1824 // Weight of pulling unit with full tanks and all your gear is highly recommended because it's helpful to know BEFORE the empty weight the trailer adds and how much weight is added to your drives and steers. In other words knowing the weight of the trailer by itself isn't helpful since it shares part of its weight with the truck.
That way the addition of cargo can be PLANNED ahead of time and placed appropriately on the trailer for weight distribution.
I had gotten to the point of being about to do it all in my head after some practice.
Awesome. I want to get a spare truck to do what you did in case i break down....
Did you have a winch on your trailer?
Great video!
I had one on my first trailer. Never used it tho.
Thks for the videos just found your channel awesome info had a question I’m in Tennessee May be different here than there but on a cab chassis set up on taxes can you write off mileage on a truck think I seen you can get 58 cents a mile on pick up or personal truck thks again for the info
It will depend on how your company is set up. You will need to contact your tax prepairer for more information. Great question!
Hello brother where did u find the fenders?
Ebay.com
Where in GA are you located?
Atlanta
can i get a diagram of the wiring you did to install that socket
I just Google the pin out online And wired it up according to the diagram
You should get a temp tag, dealer charge you $35 and ur good to make that 💰 🤑 i have my temp tags and am running now, just got pulled over and handed the officer a photo copy of my license since i lost it this week somehow 🤦🏼
WOW. what state are you registered on?
Sandtrans LLC the arm-pit of the US 😂 everything still closed here. MVC not opening until July, anything that has expired was extended until August. But i bought my truck in Maryland, and got temp tags from them, same thing with my trailers, all temp tags.
GA
Where can I buy those fenders? I can't find anything like that. Thank you!
ebay
He sound like jay-z
LOL! ITS YA BOY!
You realize, you can’t weld directly to the frame…. Hitches have to be bolt on
Next time: 5500 and 2WD
Please explain why.
@@sandtransllc1824 5500 is a class 5 truck, (heavier duty, higher GCWR) and being on pavement exclusively, there's no need for the extra weight, (more payload) and better fuel economy, (aforementioned weight plus frictional losses from gears/axles turning even when not being used) of 4WD. Also, cheaper.
Why can’t I drive my truck with no trailer off duty ?
You can.
you didn't say anything about how to build a chassis
Thanks for watching.
Man, you need to stop moving around the camera so quickly. I've tried to look at your set up in detail, but you make me dizzy.
cant weld to the frame that truck is junk now
It isn't welded to the frame. He bolted to the frame.
Sorry I didn't see the hitch was welded in.
He even said that His Mechanic modified and welded it! You are right. That truck frame is scrap and will break. If it's inspected like it should be it probably won't make it on the road!!
In the video it looks like they welded crossbars in and pieces on the outside of the frame. So yes the hitch itself might not be welded to the frame. But the pieces it's bolted to is. Naylor is correct!!
The Truck Frame is JUNK NOW!!!!
a deathtrap
You never ever weld to top of frame like you did the hitch there is such a better way to do that
It is bolted to the frame. Not welded.
I didn't see that the hitch was welded in.
@@markbremmer8642 go to 6:30 he even says it
As I said before: I did not see that it was welded. I heard him say that the fuel tank and the plate under it were bolted on, so I thought the hitch was as well.
Why don't you just drive a real tractor instead of a pick up truck????
Great question thanks for watching
