- Erik Anders Lang heads to New Zealand for the 100th New Zealand Open in Queenstown. Before the big tournament, EAL checks out The Hills Golf Club and meets his parter - professional golfer Luke Toomey. Erik and Luke hit it off chatting about strategy for the tournament, the layout of The Hills Golf Club, and their mutual admiration of each others hairstyle. The next day Erik plays in the par-3 contest with owner of The Hills Golf Club, Sir Michael Hill. Rainy weather won't stop the Ace Hunt for Erik and the guys. We've got a good feeling about this trip! ;)

Wild that I'm only just finding this now, being from NZ and just getting into golf. Watching Taco Golf and Luke Kwon's series touring NZ recently and then to see that Erik played with Tooms in the OPEN! Crazy hahaha
Easily the best independent golf channel there is. Usually like to put vids on in the background, but yours are so interesting and beautifully shot that I have to give them my full attention.
Love the use of "quarter of an hour" by Michael. We often hear "15 minutes" but "quarter of an hour" is much more elegant. Tossing that in the phrase bank.

Yesterday I went golfing solo and an older lady than myself was right on my tail. For the first time ever I invited a stranger to join up and play as random strangers all thanks to your videos, thanks for the confidence to just play golf with strangers!
You have a genuine gift for putting people at ease and capturing them at their best and most natural selves. Kind of a super power really. 👍
Erik I really wanted to let you know how much I enjoy these video's. You literally capture what it is to travel the world and experience this wonderful game on a world scale. Golf is a passion, and it's very obvious you have caught the golf bug. It's hard to believe you've only been playing since 2012. (Sorry if that's incorrect) again for anyone who can't afford to travel, this is honestly the next best thing. You make it so personal, and you make it feel like I'm right there with you. This is reminding me of some great memories from when I lived in Queenstown for a year. Worked at the golf course right by the runway (Frankton Golf Club). Very privileged to be able to play all the courses in the area in my year there. Fantastic people not only at each of the courses, but throughout the whole country.
Best episode ever for me, lived in Queenstown for a few years, played all of the courses, feeling nostalgic! NZ smell love, fresh unpolluted air! ♥
Traveled for year in NZ, great people, beautiful country and awesome golf! Incredibly friendly people that love life, and that’s coming from a Canadian! Hope you enjoy your travels Eric, play well and keep it in the short stuff!! Oh ya there’s an incredible amount of sheep!!

Had the amazing pleasure of getting to play golf in NZ earlier this summer in May. Due to time constraints and available funds, I didn't get to play The Hills (even though I wanted to). Instead, I played Queenstown GC which wrapped around a peninsula in the middle of the city. It was an amazing experience and so beautiful!
I water taxi'd over to the course, got to walk 18 holes with rented clubs, rented shoes, purchased balls, and a purchased glove all for around $90 USD. And it was a lady's members day! Truly unforgettable.
