Are you kidding me? Meeting a prime minister and being in that incredible clubhouse and course?! EAL is living the life. These videos are so enjoyable to watch. Please keep them coming! And thank you for making them so fun to watch!
The best thing about Erik is that he's just this normal guy doing incredible things. He gets nervous like everybody else and has genuine connections with people, he isn't just a hologram of a person trying to entertain.
Best content on. TH-cam. Everything that golf ought to be. Watching you on TH-cam and listening to your podcasts makes me want to design, build, and run a free pitch and putt at the city park a mile from my house. Would that be too long a process for your next adventure in golf?
Tight Lies Golf the hype is getting really real I remember when they were mentioning Stu’s hole in one on other episodes a few months ago maybe sweetens cove they mentioned it and I also think they said it in the open episode.
I worked in Alaska for 8 years and to this day the best people I have ever had the pleasure of getting to know and spend days with we’re from NZ. A different class of people! I wish the entire world would take note of these people how respectful, happy and hardworking they are.
I really hope Erik never gets tired of this because no one comes close to what he is doing on this channel. All the crew a so talented at doing this. The drone footage was just dreamy.
Screw TH-cam video, this is like a look into the very soul of golf. Thank you for capturing these people and places in a way very few could. You deserve all the success in the world.
This is a video I have saved over the years ... I come back to it every 6 months or so and am still in awe of Tara Iti. I feel the term bucket list is thrown out so easily these days .. that said, this is definitely a bucket list course!
Holy crap man, Tara Iti... what an amazing life changing experience. That is stuff most of us only dream of. And yet that is the way of NZ. You are welcomed, you are whanau no matter where you are from. And if you are willing to listen, to participate, to learn and adapt you will forever be whanau. Kia Ora Erik, so chuffed you have been able to experience this amazing country in this way. I love the way they honored you, that is the NZ way and it should be the way everywhere. Take the aroha you have received and pass it on bro. Much respect to all you have shared time with and to you and your whanau. Thank you for sharing this with the world. Much aroha from NZ bro...
Hands down the best episode of anything EAL. That upside down shot at the end...money. I almost feel embarrassed getting chills from watching golf on TH-cam.
I've played courses that tried to be something they were not. I've played courses that pleasantly surprised me. Every once in a while I've stumbled across a tract where the people were welcoming, no pretense and no pressure. Care being taken to enhance the experience. Very little in the way of chit chat about the course.....because......The course had a voice of its own. The beauty, course management and layout speaking for its self. Thank you for finding and bringing these nuggets to the masses.
Erik, you have captured how the New Zealand people feel. I've only been here for two years but I'm still amazed by how friendly New Zealanders are. Amazing people.
You're one of the best to ever do it, Erik. Just watching your subs go up since following you a couple weeks ago is mindblowing. Thank you for the great content and inspiration. Next Episode: So I Decided to Move to New Zealand | NZ Ep 7
Magical. I have sat here in front of my computer and tried to think of what an appropriate comment would be.......................That's it...............................Simply Magical. Life provides moments that grow into life changing experiences over time. Thank you for allowing us to join you in this moment.
That sent shivers down my spine throughout the whole video. I could feel throughout the whole video how special this was to you. I like how you added in the questioning of the experience at the beginning of the episode. Made the rest of the story that much better. Btw's what a cool owner.
I don't normally comment, but that was the most beautiful TH-cam video I've ever watched. Jesus the cinematography, the course, the interviews, THE PEOPLE! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 job well done, Team EAL!
For me these NZ videos are a return to your best, right up there with the Scotland series. I’m not a fan of when your videos are too equipment content heavy, I don’t believe that is an important aspect to the game and you do such a brilliant job at showcasing the people and places, which I believe truly make a difference in life. Looking forward to the rest of the videos 💪🏻
This is easily one of the most stunning courses I've ever seen, and the people who run it make it 100x better! You've managed to capture the true essence of this course and what it means to be a great golf course, by taking the club aspect out of it and making it inclusive for all who walk through the gates
The amount of work behind the scenes put into these videos is incredible. Thank you for sharing your golfing experience to the world and bringing joy to the viewer's hearts.
Ric is a godsend to New Zealand. We are a small country and we need foreign investment and look at this! It's utterly world class. Thanks Ric, guys like you help us keep New Zealand on the map.
This video is the best encapsulation of the Tara Iti experience that I've seen. If you're an adventurer and golfer this land is sacred. Well F'in done my friend.
The Kiwi's have more things figured out than anyone in the world. This makes me want to go and stay so badly. Now I know when I do fly down I need to get a letter from my club to go play. Which btw is absolutely one of the coolest perks I have hear in all of golf.. More places should be just like this. Clubs allowing others to play for a day with a letter from their club. Even if only one time it would allow some avid golfers to play places they have only dreamed of. Tara Iti is now at the top of my list. Maybe my favorite episode yet.
When we all depart from this Mortal coil, we dream of a golf course in Heaven, I think ive just seem that course, OMG, what a jewel! You make fantastic vlogs Erik, but this one was special, very very special, im jealous, jealous that I wont be playing this carpet of joy for the foreseeable future, respect! and Regards Fraser
So glad to come across your channel Erik, it’s only been a few months but your videos have shown me so much more to golf and what this great sport brings
Videos, hosts, and courses like this are why there needs to be something more than just a thumbs-up button. We should be allowed, once a year, to have a "1,000x up" button to push... and I'd use it here. Someday, my family and I will make it to New Zealand and hopefully get the chance to walk this piece of heaven just like you did. Thanks for keeping my dream alive, and give me something to show my kids as to what we have in store for our future (I hope)
Thank you for these videos, Erik. After graduating college, moving to the city, and no longer having the privilege to play 5-6 times per week- I've lost a bit of my passion for the game because of how challenging it has become to get out to play or even get to the range. But these videos always warm my heart and get that fire burning again to keep playing.
A very emotive and touching video,We,as golf lovers, are so,so lucky to have you and your team to document these wonderful courses for us from such a natural and human perspective. Thanks and please, never ever stop what you do.👏👏
This was definitely one of your best episodes. Tara Iti looks like a very special place and you did a great job showing the subtle grandeur of the place.
The build up for Stu's Ace is killing me! Every time he picks up a club I get nervous. Haha I'm probably crazy, but I'm waiting for my first Ace so I'll live vicariously through the excitement Stu's until then.
I would love to see Doak's process from start to finish when creating a course like this. It would be awesome to see what this course will look like in 5 years. Great job showing the beauty of the course.
Epic, Erik and crew. Certainly a planetary golfing experience. Tara Iti, wow. Yet another Bucket List course to salivate over and dream of playing one day. Fabulous, thank you.
Wow. What a beautiful country, beautiful course and beautiful people. I grew up very, very modest and I still live that way today. I'm saving up for my first golf set but even I wouldn't feel out of place here I feel, after watching this video. It wasn't pretentious, snooty or any of the things I would ever assume a country club tucked into the middle of no-where would be. Fantastic video, sir.
If I experienced just one of Erik's golf adventures I think I would spontaneously combust from pure joy. And Erik is constantly experiencing this. Reminds me of that Arnold Schwarzenegger quote from, "Pumping Iron," where Arnold talks about his feeling getting, 'The Pump,' in the gym and why he keeps going back. "The greatest feeling you can get in a gym or the most satisfying feeling you can get in the gym is the pump. Let's say you train your biceps, blood is rushing in to your muscles and that's what we call the pump. Your muscles get a really tight feeling like your skin is going to explode any minute and its really tight and its like someone is blowing air into your muscle and it just blows up and it feels different, it feels fantastic." It goes on, but since this is a family channel, I'll leave it at that. But I bet that this is how Erik and his crew feel every day. Congrats on living the dream, gents.
@@RandomGolfClubFilms Erik you are the man. Such a cool dude, and humble. Wish we were friends, but I enjoy your content. I have an idea for a little adventure in the Philly area if you're interested. They're restoring Cobb's Creek, which is really historic. It's in rough shape, but there's a gang of people working to restore it. Let me know if you have any interest, I can connect you.
AH I love New Zealand. My trip was fantastic this would be fantastic to play. New Zealand has the nicest people! My experience was so awesome I want to go back so bad.
Any golfer in the world can play here once, as long as you can get the proper referrals and afford the trip. The fact that they are truly happy and welcoming that you made made the effort is something all elite courses should learn from.
Love the video. Going to New Zealand in March and went through the process to set up a tee time, turns out it is absurdly expensive. Round is 1k NZ dollars + the required stay on site is minimum 2k NZ dollars. Cape Kidnappers will still kill it though
I've been lucky enough to have golfed at Tara Iti. And I can say ...one of the most amazing experiences just being there... If you should ever be so lucky....go play and just soak it all in
IMO, the greatest thing about Ace Cam is that it has nothing to do with an ace in and of itself. Maybe for EAL and the crew it is, but I like to think it’s more about the humility and giddiness that golf instills in all of us. Thanks Erik for another great ep.
How nice are these Kiwis. Probably the nicest welcome I’ve ever seen. Such a warm an sincere greeting from everyone! The course looks amazing. I’ve seen photos before but thanks for this. Almost worth traveling from Ireland to New Zealand 🇳🇿 just for the gazpacho and of course the golf.
How many more times am I going to think "this was EAL's best episode"
Ryan Fitzgerald yup they’re really starting to hit their stride and they’re only half way to the top! :D
No, no, no! They are all great, but Stu and his dad playing the Old course is the best one... I cried, laughed, giggled, everything...
My thought exactly. Holy crap.
I said that 15 times yesterday....after watching 15 episodes . The best TH-cam channel .
Are you kidding me? Meeting a prime minister and being in that incredible clubhouse and course?! EAL is living the life. These videos are so enjoyable to watch. Please keep them coming! And thank you for making them so fun to watch!
Bro! Left us hanging with the Gazpacho.
3 years later and I still get chills watching this video. “Enjoy the walk.” Insane work fellas.
Your the Anthony Bourdain of golf
Rupert Whyte that’s the best kind of compliment!
hardly...ego au go go...
This comment sums up his youtube perfectly!
10 months late, but this is absolutely right on lol
Forget your best golfing experience, that was my best golfing experience and I didn't even play.
“To Erik,
Enjoy the walk.”
One of your best ones yet, man. Great work as always.
The best thing about Erik is that he's just this normal guy doing incredible things. He gets nervous like everybody else and has genuine connections with people, he isn't just a hologram of a person trying to entertain.
6:55 that moment when Erik realizes he’s a celebrity, and has no words.

This is one of the most beautiful videos I’ve ever witnessed
Everytime Stu touches a club I think he's about to hit the Ace.
especially with that 12 second buildup
The tease, it's gotta be coming soon.
episode 11 Gents...
Tight Lies Golf the hype is getting really real I remember when they were mentioning Stu’s hole in one on other episodes a few months ago maybe sweetens cove they mentioned it and I also think they said it in the open episode.

Screw TH-cam video, this is like a look into the very soul of golf. Thank you for capturing these people and places in a way very few could. You deserve all the success in the world.
Forget golf, this is some of the best content on TH-cam period. Thank you for the visually stunning and thoughtfully created videos.
Man this epidose got me feeling something. It was spiritual. If you are ever in the midwest I would love to join you.
This is a video I have saved over the years ... I come back to it every 6 months or so and am still in awe of Tara Iti. I feel the term bucket list is thrown out so easily these days .. that said, this is definitely a bucket list course!
Every club should show this video to their staff and members. This is what golf is meant to be!!! To Eric, I hope NZ Ep 7 is "Tara It Continued."

Watching the NZ eps multiple times, it's absolutely confirmed it - NZ is at the top of my golf trip wish list. Unreal stuff.
The visual and music in this show!!! incredible. I'm in a dream and I don't want to wake up!
I mean this is enough to bring tears to my eyes. It’s just so pure, well done man
I'll openly admit I've been back and forth on EAL content for a long time. But this episode right here is pure magic.
I'm a Kiwi living in Aus - watching this episode made my day, NZ is really a special place with some wonderful people. Excellant work Erik!
fk off m8 thats y u live in Aus lol its shit here
Yes Straya is hardly a shit hole
You're one of the best to ever do it, Erik. Just watching your subs go up since following you a couple weeks ago is mindblowing. Thank you for the great content and inspiration.

What a beautiful course and amazing group of people. Probably my favourite video of yours to date!
What an incredible *experience* !!! The round of golf was fun to watch as always...but that course was breathtaking.
Seriously thought the Ace was coming. Well done teasing on the editing for Stu's shot.
Beautiful chilled out course, looks like you were in awe of it Eric, and why not.

What an amazing golf trip. Jealous and inspired at the same time. Great job Eric and crew. Thanks for sharing NZ with us all.!
Flat out the best video I have seen based around golf on this platform! Well done Eric and team
This course that I have never heard of has now jumped into my top 5 courses that I want to play! gorgeous!

Best golf related video I've ever watched on TH-cam. Outstanding!
Thank you for these videos, Erik.

This was definitely one of your best episodes. Tara Iti looks like a very special place and you did a great job showing the subtle grandeur of the place.
Your passion for golf and life and decent people is infectious

Right, that place is off the charts good!! The mind would be pure playing golf round there, totally pure!
This is the best of your videos I've watched yet! Such awesome people that work at this club!
One of my favourite videos by you! Beautiful camera work and the way they took you guys in with open arms was so cool.
Best golf content ever. Thanks for this, Erik.

You’re videos are becoming top class. The backwards walking looked hilarious
First video of your's I've seen, sent from a friend, and enjoyed every second of it.
Yours truly,
someone who's never played a round in my life
This video is fantastic guys. Really well structured and gives an awesome experience of the club.

why dont these vids have millions of views???? they are so good man they really make me emotional
Sensational, I love how you deliver a true sense of emotion! Oh, can someone call fore!!!
Amazing episode in what has been a fantastic series. You really outdo yourself with each episode. Love your content, keep it up.
I've been lucky enough to have golfed at Tara Iti. And I can say ...one of the most amazing experiences just being there...
If you should ever be so lucky....go play and just soak it all in
Dudes!!! Getting those feels going. Thanks for capturing the essence of what golf is about.
I really enjoy your interactions with local golfers, and the great footage. But mainly, I really enjoy watching your swing.

Not even joking. This may be my favorite golf video I’ve ever seen. I will be dreaming about that place.
Your videos really bring a breath of fresh air to a sometimes really stuffy experience. Thank you.

The course looks amazing. I’ve seen photos before but thanks for this.
Almost worth traveling from Ireland to New Zealand 🇳🇿 just for the gazpacho and of course the golf.
Good to see Brian Palmer enjoying Tara iti!! One of the best Superintendents in the biz. Hope you’re doing well my friend
New life goal, play that course. It looks stunning. I golf vicariously through EAL. Thanks for the fantastic content on a weekly basis.
Well fark!!! That made me feel real homesick. You somehow conveyed the kiwi attitudes so well. Awesome. One time experience? Must investigate!
Never enjoyed a video more than I did this one! Great stuff Erik.
By far my favorite video yet, Well done!
So happy for you, Erik! Was like watching a kid open their first Christmas gift. Great videos, man.
You’re a lucky man even if you’re still looking for that Ace! Love your show and the game!
This video makes me want to go "home" and help run the course in Waitomo or Pio Pio. Well done EAL. Aotearoa golf for the win!
Pio Pio Aria
Where else could you just walk in and have a yarn with the former PM! Absolutely love this, it sums up New Zealand. Shit this made me homesick
