I love Nickos playing over the last 38 years with Maiden and his unbeleavable right foot, but here you can clearly hear that Kevin Shirley introduced triggers on Bass Drum and Snare...
Probably not physical triggers on the kit, but definitely sample enhanced kick and snare. I think this is the only album of theirs that has this. Or at least to this degree.
Just not a fan of Shirley's production with Maiden - Can't help it but it just seems to lack some sort of clarity or air. Whatever it is I'm not feeling it, although I realise part of this is probably coloured by my love for Martin Birch's amazing work with them.

Who needs double bass when you got the right foot of God?!! UP THE IRONS!!!🤘🤘🤘
Legend. Love that ride sound as well as the snare
Amazing 🤘🏻💯🤟🏻🤩
Brilliant
Dude, do brave new world and dream of mirrors! Maybe off rock in rio 🤤
This is so surreal, everything sounds exactly like Nick's kit especially the snare, crashes and ride
Nothing unusual, because this is an original track by Nicko.
@@kiboko_drummer Oh. I thought you had recreated it with software. Lol.
@@NothingToDismay LOL😂
The ride…. 🤤
Dimensions series.....
This is cool how you can take the drums from songs.
Best musician in Maiden imo
Has a couple of writing credits = best musician. Okay.
Awesome!! Thanks for these 🤟🤟
If you could do Out of the Silent planet that would be amazing !!
I don't have any tracks for this song yet.

I thought his drums sounded pretty natural on this album - it is for sure triggers and/or samples
Good to know that wasn't a human's work.
