great videos! another thing that really helped me with preventing the valve core coming out when removing the pump, is to press the little black purge valve button on the valve before you unscrew it. This removes any air pressure in the system so it is easier to unscrew!
so old video, but I am glad to see someone advocating reasonable lights on the bike. Flashing lights might be useful during the day because they attract attention while you can still see the rest of the bike and rider. One night, I have seen a bright frontlight and could by experience identify that as part of the bike, but I had no idea, that right next to that one another biker rode along, on the traffic side, he was not so bright, I'd say ;)
Fantastici i proteggi tacchette!!! Non sapevo esistessero! Li cerco immediatamente! Grazie! Inoltre, le tue considerazioni si come usare il sistema luci sono illuminanti 🤭 Davvero, specie sul come avere una "tracciabilità" della traiettoria per gli altri.
Just found your channel today and I'm enjoying your content. I'll be getting a pair of those Sirokos, they look excellent value. Keep up the good work!
Agreed on all of the above. I just picked up a pair of Sirokos based solely on this video. Federico, you might consider adding affiliate links to sponsor your quality content - I'd happily use them.
Nice video, I enjoy your calm way of explaining things. You might want to look at STVZO-certified lights, which have a car-like beam instead of a classic round one. They illuminate the road but don't blind oncoming traffic. All lights used on the road in Germany must have said certification.
Thank you, I noticed Lezyne listed some lights not available in Germany, for the reason you mentioned. I try to record the videos in one go and cut the errors, they come out better imo
Same here, but I have had three punctures this year (ignoring the ones that self-seal). I plugged the last one, but the plug blew out with a bang while I was riding! Should have used the fatter plug.
@@Hunterthepunter126 used to, but no more. I’ve put a tube into a tubeless tyre by the side of the road in winter. Got covered in sealant and my fingers hurt from getting the tubeless tyre back on. 99%+ of the time, sealant and plugs will see you right.
Thank you, it's a very simple stand from Decathlon, very useful to index the gears or for cleaning the bike. You can remove the wheel and install a fake hub to clean the chain as well.
Can you ever secure a bike with a lock? My saddle and seatpost cost £500. Pedals cost £150. Wheels £2k. Handlebar £500 etc etc. The only way to secure your bike is to carry it inside with you!
Just my opinion of course but multi-tools are for emergencies only generally difficult to use and more so in tight spaces better off with allen keys or small ratchet set, the puncture reapir patches looked like stick on patches best of luck with those...trying to fix a puncture on the road side can be tricky or very time consuming near imposible at night inner tube(s) a safer bet! The chain breaker maybe useful and yes I do have one in my kit but cannot foresee a time on the road when it will ever be needed....time will tell its there to help other ppl :)
Yes, you are right, I carry the multi tool just in case, I guess anything bigger would not fit. I never tried to repair a puncture on the road, as you mentioned it might come useful to help others.
@@fede1275 I did one time try to repair a puncture while out and gave up, used the spare tube instead have both a small ratchet set + allen keys that recently got me out of jail, not much you can't fix with this combo! Hi Federico, just found your channel, some great videos 😀. I like those Ali express bottle cages, have you got a link for them please as looking on their site I can’t find them and alot have too many logos on them. Cheers, Vik
Federico, congratulations on the the endless efforts and dedication towards road bike excellence! I have been struggling with the following cycling accessory problem, I've tried different solutions over the years but since you are so analytical and expressive I'd like your thoughts.- What do you use for keeping money and documents while on a ride?
Thank you so much Ivan. I am trying to get the most without spending too much or going too complicated. Luckily here in the UK you don't have to carry documents and in London you can pay everything contactless with your iPhone. I don't carry anything else, apart from keys and the mini pump. Maybe the odd gel and tissue, so the 3 jersey pockets are more than enough. Some jerseys have a zip pocket, so I could carry a credit card and cash if needed.
👋
I am honoured Maestro!
didn't expect to see you here
More cyclists should use the photo-chromatic lenses. That way you can have the same pair of glasses at all hours and in all conditions.

I've just got the prime wheels from watching a previous video of yours. Thanks keep them coming.
Great, thank you!
Bell? Ha ha forgot that. Enjoyed the video, thanks for posting.
Thank you. I prefer to shout in that moments 😂

Another great video. Thank you.
Really enjoying your videos. Heads up that white shelf is about to come tumbling down. Stay safe on and off the bike 😅

Love Wahoo!!
It just works really well, nice and easy.
I run tubless and always carry puncture worms and co2 cartridge but no tubes. I never had a single puncture in last two years though.
That’s reassuring to know. I’ve just gone tubeless at last and seems good so far. I think it’s a decent system!

Ah, Italian bella figura! I also got rid of my SKS fenders on the grounds that they ruin the look of the bike (and add weight of course).
Agree!! 😄
Excellent vid 👍🏾
Thank you!

I really like the first stand that you sad you use for maintenance? What is it called?
Thank you again.

our accessories match! we should ride together 😅
I prefer to have a dynamo hub.
You can get a valve core tightening tool.
I know now, it was a struggle when I was stranded! I also found a small bit on the multi tool that works as well.
Scusami, una domanda: quanto pesa quel lucchettone? E come te lo porti dietro? Devi indossare uno zaino? 😮
E' pesante, si. Le poche volte che ho usato la bici e lasciata legata all'aperto ho portato uno zaino. Adesso non lascio la bici mai da sola.
Not on Strava did not happen 🤣
Absolutely!
Putting the microphone closer to your lips will produce better voice quality.
I know, hopefully my latest videos are better sounding.
