*"By resisting arrest."*
No other theme or motif has gotten me as stoked as this. O_o
It took me back to when I was happy as a kid. Good times.
The only thing Robocop 2 was missing was Basil and it would have been a complete movie
Your insane. Robo 2 was good bu5 disappointing and part 3 sucked. The original joins the terminator , godfather, predator, aliens among the greatest films ever made
@@robogreek3157 ROBO2's script is a censored version of Frank Miller's script. They used the same script for the 3rd movie
When you think your job sucks, or just have a bad day... remember that this man was killed doing his job, and then OCP got back him to life, again, to do the same job.
ONE thing thats good in RC3 is the music.
This... is... the essential RoboCop theme..
4:30 - 4:46 Honestly, I could listen to just that part on repeat. The best Robo theme!
4:46 これがマジでかっこいい
best theme out of em all
The original film might be best, but Robo 3 has the best theme of the bunch.
Yes, it does.
Very true, and the odd and different theme in the 2nd didn't fit
@@Angelus1269 EXACTLY.!
@@Bond2007100 I really disliked the music from the 2nd movie personally
@@Angelus1269 I disliked the whole drug part of that movie.

*"DON'T COUNT ON IT, CHUM!"*
Great music as always with Basil, great extended version too !
Thank You Gilles! Powerfull sound!👍
Awesome man as usual. I’m really sorry and a bit pissed at “those guys” who block your Red Sonja remaster. I really enjoyed that flick and loved the music from there.
McDaggett: Sergeant. We're taking Cadillac Heights. I'll need fifty of your men armed and in full body armor in one hour. Mr. Johnson, you can tell the C.E.O. the demolition crews will have total access at 0600 hours tomorrow morning.
Sergeant Warren Reed: Hey, we don't do that kind of work.
McDaggett: That was a direct order, sergeant.
Sergeant Warren Reed: Driving people out of their homes is no work for a cop.
Johnson: Now, sergeant... fifteen years on the force is quite an investment. Your job, your pension... Maybe instead of worrying about these squatter people, you might think about your OWN family.
Sergeant Warren Reed: I am.
[Takes off his badge and throws it on the floor]
Sergeant Warren Reed: I'm thinking I have to go home and face them.
[Reed leaves. One by one, other offices drop their badges and walk out as well]
Johnson: You can't do this! Look, you are employees of O.C.P. Now remember that! You're jeopardizing your retirement benefits!
She said 'no!' MAybe you two have a hearing problem. (SHoots and kills the Rehab officers) Go home young lady. You're in violation of curfew.
Well i have to hand it to ya. What do they call you? Murphy is it?
My friends call me Murphy, You call me.... RoboCop
The whole trilogy is awesome. Robocop Rogue City stands proudly and with dignity. It rocks big time
For me its the truest sequel of the lot!. Both film sequels failed to recognise Murphy's whole redemption ark which was tied up in the original. Robocop 2 comes along and he's back to acting like a cyborg from the first scene. (Nothing against Weller, he himself has criticised 2's script for this)
I absolutely love that Rogue City gives you the chance to respond as Murphy... (them evaluation scenes are brill for that)
@@quantic7722 I don't agree. Remember that ocp always uses some tricks to dull robocop in the second one or in the third - the whole trilogy is a masterpiece - Weller only criticised the third act of the second film. Besides, he only played robocop, it's orion and mgm that did the decisionmaking - the second and the third one shifted from that humanity regaining motif a little (but still robo has perfect one liners that close the third and the second film in a human way)
and went with the pure 80s badass action, lore building and arc development, I'm only too happy to have that, I love this shift - the first one is a masterpiece but there is too much overthinking about robo's human side - he's a hybrid, no more pure human...it's still a lot of humanity in him considering the fact that there is only a human brain there - the rest is just machine - I don't agree with weller that a human is trapped within the machine like golem or what have you. The dualism of cyborgs is very important in cyberpunk themed films and games.
I'm glad there is a trilogy and would never have it done otherwise.
So glad you like it that way, but that's the beauty of robocop and especially rogue city - you choose what dynamics you wanna apply to that train.
So we agreed to disagree but we still love robocop and rogue city as well, and I can only be too happy to hear you.
Best regards, have fun with the IP in any way you desire
I loved this exchange of opinions
Merry Christmas ;)
Are you playing the game on pc or on a console? I am on ps5. Recommend the alex murphy pack, vanguard as well but the former gives you one more ocp/police themed weapon.
Super cool
@@jarosawmiszel8152I finished playing Robocop: Rogue City a couple days ago and was pretty impressed how true to the themes of the first movie did the game manage to stay, even though the core gameplay was a fairly old-school shooter. The scenes with the psychiatrist felt surprisingly meaningful. I did my best to help Robo get over his struggle. The game was better than most today titles, perhaps because it was developed in Poland where current day brain rot has not set in yet.
The human/robot duality was somewhat interesting. I only played the game once and did not try all the dialog options as that would spoil the flow of story... In my take on the character I tried to not dwell on the fact that organic parts of Murphy are still "alive" inside Robocop. It felt like it would be the sort of false hope that eventually drives one insane. I considered myself more as a vehicle through which Murphy's legacy of being a great policeman and a good person can live on - even though he himself does not.
@@walterscientist your last sentences were very interesting. In robocop 2, Murphy had a similar mindset. When he admitted he could not be with his family anymore he meant it.
Did you try to be a good cop or judge dredd? I never gave an unfair fine, in fact, I did not give it to anyone except for the car crimes, oil spillage etc.
Glad you like it, I'm Polish myself, thank you for the kind word, but I think that Teyon does not want to screw up anymore despite small budget, they just announced no plans for dlc.
Fucking shit
It is such a good game. Oh bother :(
@@jarosawmiszel8152 I don't remember Robocop 2 all that clearly, except the final fight with RoboCain, which I researched, because of it's excellent use of miniature effects.
I definitely did not intentionally mirror that movie - I tried to really step into the shoes of the character, which admittedly is something I rarely feel compelled to do in games. My reasoning was, at least internally, a bit different than in the movie, if I remember it correctly - I will probably do a rewatch and elaborate.
I have to admit, I did not play the "policing encounters" straight - I noticed that one of the stats doubles your "public trust" points, so I assumed there will be some boon from maximizing those in the encounters. Some of the dialogs were too funny, so I decided to always try the "fine" option first reload autosave at nearest door and then do the "warning" option. If I was playing them straight, I would probably be harsher, because a good portion of the offenders did not really have a reasonable excuse for their behavior. Also "fine" option usually produced a more punchy one-liner from Robocop. And the warnings felt too much like that time in the movies when they reprogrammed him to be more kid-friendly :)
The perfect theme for Robocop himself.
Thank you for your hard work.
Awesome! Thanks for this great upload Gilles!!
I love this movie it's a step down from the first two but I appreciate it

1 and 3 certainly had the best music. Too bad they didn't stick with Basil Poledouris for #2, it would have helped the film. Great job on mixing this music.

Love it thanks bro 😎
Why am I thinking of Starship Troopers? Thanks for sharing!
Starship Troopers is not done yet but I'll do it sometime soon.
@@GillesNuytensOh I didn't mean to impose! You're a true connoisseur to basically everything I loved growing up. No joke.
The things you create and share on your channel are also of high quality. I can say this with certainty, 'cause I've made my fair share of clips over the years (most of them get blocked) and stringing together different audio's together is by far the most difficult to do seamlessly. No question. Some of the music you share I know quite well and you make it sound more complete than the original.
Thank you. Starship Troopers was already planned and in my to do list. I would have done it already if I haven't been rushed by the new Halloween soundtrack.
Its the same composer, so good ear~
@@IgkuitBBswm Really? It was just an instinctive reaction. Funny. I knew Basil did the iconic Conan the Barbarian soundtrack but that's about it.

That's songs of justice.
While I cannot find a fault in Robert Burke's performance, Peter Weller remains the one and only Robocop for me. 🙂
I actually thought Burke did well, his dialogue delivery became more aggressive after Lewis was murdered which was a fitting change for the character.
Burke was good in Thinner too and like 2 scenes in Tombstone
Sounds more like a military march than in the first movie.
Muchas gracias por subirla! me trae muchos recuerdos, nostalgia pero sobre todo agradecimiento por este gran temazo! saludos!

The Robocop miniseries Prime Directives was an awesome conclusion to the Robocop saga.
No, rogue city the game is.
@drakethesnek6429 rogue city happens between robocop 2 and 3
No, it wasn't. It was terrible.

How can people hate this movie?, Robocop helps the people n theres an android ninja for petesake
It has android ninjas and yet it's still mediocre
It is a children’s movie, the previous 2 were not in the same category tonally. 2 was an adult graphic novel made film, and the original was a drama full of satire mocking the society of the time and future. 3 has robot ninjas and a puppy ED-209. What a joke.
Actually this one is my favorite, the only difference is that Robo 1 and 2 fans have bigger mouth lol
@@ConradProteus ...and better taste. Seriously, the third movie is a turd.
@@Charon569 RoboCop 3 is two heads taller than RoboCop 2. In the third film, Robo's human essence was at least somehow revealed. The second part is generally slag... if you cut RoboCop from RoboCop 2, then the film will not change AT ALL, not a damn thing happens in the second film. RoboCop 2 is pointless crap, not only is it that none of Robo's humanity is revealed, but the film also has disgusting music and direction. The third film is an exact continuation of the first RoboCop, it is much more serious than the second, it’s just that morons watch RoboCop only for the sake of all sorts of stupid RoboCains, and not for the idea of the tragedy of a man inside a machine...
TOP.

@@GillesNuytens it’s an amazing song, but can hear the starship trooper theme in it, feels like I’m watching starrobo coptrooper (which I’d pay good money to see Murphy fighting the bugs)
Got that one
Gran canción, pero es la misma que la de la primera parte.
The music from the third film is good but the problem is that at the beginning it sticks to the same rhythm, making it repetitive, I confess that it saturates a bit, but a good recreation, Gilles
Thanks for the feedback. The main theme is pretty repetitive and I remember having struggled to make it feel not so repetitive. It's a lot of small parts put together as there's no real proper track with that music unfortunately.
robocop was a great movie trilogy with a touch of satire and that epic theme . nice job on the extended edit . Robocop the series was a watered down version of the movies but i did like the theme of the tv series th-cam.com/video/S_WTIzscD5Q/w-d-xo.html
the problem with robocop 3 is it didn't get that robocop is more of a satire then an action film, and that while it has an appeal for children it is meant for adults.
The thing that 3 did get right over 2 is the fact Murphy is a man - 2 completly missed the point of teh ending of 1 about the man in the machine
@@KTL_RobPowell I think 2 understood that quite well which is why we see Murphy almost kill himself to remove the junk they uploaded in him. Plus that's why he would stalk his wife, and eventually have her up so she could move on.
@@deathbunny1718The problem is both of those are dropped plot points. By the third act of the movie Murphy loses all of his struggles with his humanity. RoboCop 2 is a decent miniseries, each act focusing on a different plot, but it doesn't work as a cohesive, thematic movie at all. While 3 doesn't have the violence or is as much of a scathing satire as the first two, it's way more cohesive.
❤🦾💥😍
I actually would have preferred Leonard Rosenman's theme for the third one. I think it suits the lighter tone
