#RoboCop
I do appreciate what they went for at the end, where the first one he was accepting his humanity and discarding himself as merely a robot or cyborg, but by the 3rd he's come to terms with the latter as well, accepting he's both Murphy but also Robocop.
Nice shooting son,what's your name?
Murphy
@prinstyrio0 no one ever mentions this. That’s exactly what they went for in this movie. He finally accepts himself as both Murphy AND Robocop. It may not have resonated as much as the first film did. But, for fans of the character as a whole, it competes his character arc-and justifies why he acts like more of a robot in this film than in the others.
Hes both Murphy? But whos the other Murphy?
@@ahabduennschitz7670 it means Robocop finally accepts he is both Robocop (the machine) and Murphy (the man)
I am a Japanese and started learning English when I was 11 years old. The first phrase I understood outside of a textbook was "My friends call me Murphy. You call me ROBOCOP."
I'd still watch these movies over anything these days. 80s and 90s are where its at.
I forgot how awesome this movie really is
I remember seeing this scene and thinking I want a flight suit like robos got😭😭😭

Sadly, yes. As a big fan of Robo, I've forgot how bad this movie was lmao.

"By Resisting arrest!"
Murphy was definitely done with OCP's bullshit!!
That and clearing the new version of Directive 4 earlier helped things along.
Because at this point, directive 4 has been removed permanently, he can do something about it
My favorite part was when the cops walked out because they didn't want to be used by OCP to oppress the people of Detroit. It showed that Murphy wasn't the only hero in the movie.
you see I told you Robocop was high again🤣🤣🤣
Excellent point. My compliments.
Reminds me of a scene in the comic where OCP had told the fire department that they couldnt put a fire down because the neighborhood hadnt payed their taxes.
Then Murphy just bustout like the Kool aid man and took a truck to put out the fire himself, best part was that the firefighters just walked all over the spokesman and followed Murphy without a second thought.
@@stealthynaxo you know this past weekend I found a messy camp site right across the street from walmart I was at first like wait is this steve stealth camping but then I saw the mess and knew nope Steve isn't that much of a pig when stealth camping🤣🤣🤣
My favourite part was when the movie ended and I could then immediately watch something else to remove the memory of this terrible film
Ironic that McDaggett died almost the same way as Bob Morton: dragging on the floor with both his legs impaired, trying to grab the bomb.
Yeah the only difference between the 2 was Morton was shot in both legs by Clarence Boddicker and was blown up by a grenade while McDaggett got both legs roasted by Robocop's flight pack and was vaporized or as he put it 'Atomized' by 2 self destructing androids along with the O.C.P. building and everything within 20 yards of the building.
And the scene also involved two females leaving in a hurry immediately beforehand.
@@neilomacwow! Never thought about it
And some of the same lines taken from the original.
I never caught that.
Good eye.
HELL YEAH! I remember seeing this in the theater with my Dad god rest his soul.... I couldn't believe when Murphy flies in to save the day! Memories I'll always have of me and my Dad...
Say what you want about the movie, but the soundtrack is amazing!
its not that bad a movie tbh, yeah its the weakest out of the 3, But it blows the 2014 reboot well out of the water.
It’s literally the only redeeming quality… No Weller…no Murphy/Robo.
This is a cartoonish simulacra of the gritty Original.
Thanks to composer Mr Poledouris, and also the producers who decided to bring back the original theme for the final installment. A Nice, classy touch.
It's okayish at best.

I’ll tell you one thing I liked about this movie, it fully shows the true colors of OCP and makes the people of Detroit finally rebel against the company that has looked down on them. It definitely is satisfying to see it all go down.
That whole scene where the police give up their badges, these were how good cops should be.
*This film has no redeeming aspects whatsoever. It's thoroughly rotten, and it's no coincidence that there were no more entries into the franchise after it.*
M the irony was that they never saw the true colors in the second film on the first even though the mayor warned and plead to them and then there was Bertha

Pretty much agree and experienced with everything you said 👏
Man can anyone imagine what it would have been like if the guys who rebuilt Murphy into Robocop in the first movie had done a better job wiping his memories and he was completely under they're control Robocop would have been working with the R.E.H.A.B. team instead of fighting alongside the Detroit Police Department so in a lot of ways the Police and the citizens of old Detroit were extremely lucky that Mortan and his team had done a lousy job of wiping Murphy's memories when they started coming back when those technicians saw them appear on the monitors and thought he was having a dream when infact it was his memories coming back and that it was Anne Lewis who helped out more when she saw him twirl his gun at the shooting range just like the fictional character T.J. Laser.
I have to wonder if the team who rebuilt him realized that a cyborg needs memories of who they were. It’s why they left his face intact. It’s how Murphy connected with his past and it made him stronger for It
Can you do that, dad?
Rehab Team:Hey you stupid cops we got a tank
Sgt. Reed:Yeah well guess what assholes we got a Robocop
Robocop:Dead or Alive Your coming with Me
I watched this in the theater with my father one afternoon. We were the only ones there.

これは、何度観ても胸が熱くなるシーン…🤩
Ha, ha. Around 2:42, the guy that says, “Oh, my God, Johnson.” “Our shock has dropped down to nothing.” “We’re ruined.” That’s one of my favorite parts in this movie. Serves these capitalist pigs right.
When they started work on this movie one thing I have always wondered about is who came up with the idea of giving Robocop a flight pack.
i think they got the idea from robocop vs the terminator comic.
Frank Miller did, he wrote the original (deemed unfilmable) script.
Yeah, check out the Frank Miller comic version of this movie. He had some radical ideas, one of them is rebuilding RoboCop to fly, but like most outlanding ideas, if not executed correctly, they look poor. The movie idea of Robo flying is a far cry from what Miller had envisioned, even if not agreeable.
the effects were obvious but dang this Still brings a tear to my eye.
I saw this movie when i was 11 years old. Still give me Goosebumps this flying scene even with a crap CGI. Music and the scene itself shows that to make ppl Goosebump doesnt need too much technology.
When I saw this movie as a kid I was so disappointed. Robo 1 and 2 were awesome.. 3 was such a let down.
There is no cgi in this god-awful movie.
@SonateSonate Actually, this movie has one of the first examples of the morphing CGI that became popular around the time of the film’s release. When Murphy has a flashback to his wife and her face morphs into Lewis, and then Dr. Lazarus’s face. That was CGI.
@@DieselDiaz I totally forgot about that godawful scene. The vortex is also cgi I guess.
@@thankfulgamer2405Nope. Robocop 3 is a good movie.
I still remember an interview/director's commentary, about the actor that played Murphy. And how several times, during the series, he nearly died, because that get-up was like an oven. Took forever get on, just as long to get off.
I still prefer Peter Weller playing Robocop he is the best shame they took him out of the third film
He was doing another movie at that time that's why and they use the same shit from RoboCop 2

This was one of the most awesome piece of cheese whiz I have seen in 90s Hollywood.. Even when I first saw it on VHS. AMAZING!!! One thing I always laughed at in Robocop 3, People LOVE to use Shotguns at range lol.
Works pretty well if you're using slugs
There were aspects of this one I liked. But for me, it just wasn't the same without Peter Weller.
He did two Robocop movies, but didn't do this sequel.
Wasn't it Tremors 3 when the Graboids started flying. And they sounded like Tie Fighters when they flew?
I miss movies from the 90s. The technology and sound effects were outstanding.
Despite being cheesy, this movie had a lot going for it compared to the second film, it had a better story with more heart and emotional depth, a better villain, more interesting secondary villain with the Japanese ninja androids, better supporting characters, more impactful story development with Lewis dying, RoboCop being connected offline to a computer while repaired, getting a physical upgrade with the gun and the jetpack (as cheesy as the jetpack was), the OCP buyout by a zaibatsu and Detroit PD finally rebelling. It needed a bigger budget and a rewrite and IMO would be better if not all the cops were heroic because pro-police rhetoric really hasn't aged well, we all the know grim truth there.
I remember when we rented this on vhs and my mom complained the jet pack was unrealistic. Yes....the jet pack instead of the cyborg resurrected dead cop was the bridge too far.
Worst sequal ever.
Damn, 20 yards today isn't what it used to be.
I'm glad someone else caught that. 20 yards is tiny af, and then it turns out to be a small-scale atom bomb that even caused a flash.
@@Shotgunky 20 yards = 60 feet. That's approx 6 stories. And keep in mind possible chain reactions.
@@justincarawan-carawanco.pu1639 Vertically, yes it's 6 stories. But there's no way the floor itself is less than 20 yards wide/18 meters. The average width of a skyscraper is around 60 meters, that's 65 yards.

@@Spock4771 Prime Directives had it's moments. But it was also basically 2 movies worth of content. I'd say it's equal to Robocop 3 as far as benefit or damage to the 'brand', but the Series was just schlock for kids to sell toys for sure.
@@Alconium Now I'm really curious if that TV show was some people's first exposure to Robocop, and how much of a shock it'd be for them to see the original, more violent movies afterwards.
