He was at the motel because he just got out of jail and needed a place to stay. I have 2 small kids and no extra rooms at my house. Best thing I could do for him was put him in his own place. The hotel called me because I was the one who paid the room and was his emergency contact. He was only going to be in that hotel for another few weeks until we could get him an apartment. We were still trying to get his birth certificate and social security card and all the things he needed to get his life going.
