    Hello sir, I question for you for someone who is young and is wondering about your business. How long did it take build it up to where it is now and how many hours and days do you work a week now is it the same or different now that you are the boss?

Once I started my business I was a known quantity to a lot of important people already. Ownthat im the boss I don’t use my tools anymore and work in the office but its definitely a 7 day a week job and o probably put in about 60 hours a week but I love it. @@dregs8026 I do. I’ll tell them that in advance, but if they push me for a price, I’ll give them a ballpark and if we’re not even in the same area on price I won’t go do it. I don’t wanna waste my time for a fucking trip charge you know. I don’t advertise because I don’t want people calling me because they saw my business name and number somewhere. I want people calling me because they know what I do and then I’m good at it. I don’t usually have to negotiate price. Residential service just comes to me because people know me. I charge a fair rate. I don’t really do anything for less than about 400 bucks. I’m fair and I make my money on the big stuff.

    Got half way through and hit a tangent about Indian's wasn't all that necessary, may have been more at the end but got sick of hearing about how tight you felt indian people were.
    Given hypotheticals are too hard for you to grasp, I'll rephrase: If you were to set up a stand-alone service business right now you'd hit reds and have to nut it out just like you did earlier this year when construction went red. Margin pricing gives a false sense of security, it's only effective if revenue is where it needs to be, or higher... which prettymuch means maximising every booked job, taking us back at the "salesmen". Take a wild guess as to why it's working in this case.... you're using already covered labour and overhead, aka, a subsidised service.

    • @brasshouse9822
      @brasshouse9822  8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Mr-Yan. you’re wrong. I got here using margin pricing. I was able to generate a surplus of revenue and used the profits to gain more assets and the ability to do more work. I built my construction side by subsidizing it with the Service side in fact. At first, I was just covering costs because I wasn’t efficient and good at it yet and it took so much more money with all the insurance requirements and other bullshit. I had to use Service to cover the Construction. Once I had everything sorted things got different. And your hypothetical is pointless. I can give you the same hypothetical. If you were to generate the revenue, I generate what would you charge for Service? I’d like to compare numbers. You missed the best part where I get into the MSA’s I have with different properties. I bet that my service numbers are better than yours. I bet that off of margin pricing I generate more money than you do both in revenue and in profits. I’m willing to put it all on the table expose every bit of my Business info to you if you’ll do the same. We both need call volume right? You act like me needing high revenue is something you don’t require as well. I think you’re walking over dollars to pick up dimes and I think that if we actually compared our numbers, you would be surprised. Take the challenge. Let’s do a Google meet and put all of our numbers on the table. I’ll show you all of my QuickBooks information and banking information if you do the same for me. I’ll show you how much money I make off of Service and how much it cost me. I’ll let you see my payroll numbers and all the other nitty-gritty. You do the same for me and let’s see who’s really making money. I’ve got happy customers, happy employees, and I’m busier than a Christmas sweater. Let’s put it all out on the table and I’ll bet your mines bigger than yours since you wanna talk

      @brasshouse9822 I'm not here to read the bible, should be able to convey a point succinctly.
      You can't grasp hypotheticals and can't differentiate things that work in isolation from things that work in concert. Map your service side in isolation like rusty did and the epiphany will be bigger than the moment you turned your business around this year. Confidence > competence.
