Young Stubborn Girl Learns Her Lesson the Hard Way, Talks Herself into Arrest

- On November 2nd, 2021, an officer noticed two illegally parked cars blocking the road, one without tags. Upon investigation, he found the cars belonged to a house whose residents didn't respond to his knocks. The officer decided to issue tickets and tow the cars. However, as the first car was about to be towed, a woman claiming to be the owner's girlfriend emerged, leading to a conflict. Despite warnings, she resisted, resulting in her arrest. The boyfriend's angry arrival escalated the situation, and in a chaotic turn, he threw the officer's eyeglasses, ordered them off his property, and prompted legal consequences for the woman.

How come they won't hesitate to charge citizens protecting their property but they won't charge criminals?
A much more reasonable approach by the police, in this case, would have been to issue a simple warning....either verbally or in written form (depending if anyone were at home or not....or answered the door), saying that they have 3 days to move the vehicles, as they are illegally parked. You have to consider that laws vary greatly from town to village to state regarding parking on streets. How many people are really up on the current laws in their neighborhood about parking cars in the street? A friendly warning would have sufficed, as well as a warning about the tags...but to place the young lady in handcuffs and to immediately tow all of those cars away was way too heavy-handed. I'm surprised that nobody got fired over this...or did they? They should have. I believe the young people here had a right to be angry.

What a waste of public servants spending all this time to "remove" a "hazard"on a street which no one else seems to use. lol- I wonder how the tow company got the contract to remove cars? As I said before, a parking ticket is the first step in this process, and would likely have sufficed in the long run, while simultaneously avoiding ill will between police and the citizenry, which is something that can have a tendency to fester into something greater than it ever needs to be.

Because she knew her boyfriend would be able to see that she didn't leave her post. She wasn't bothered about the car, only about his reaction to it. And then we got to see first hand what his reaction was to police officers. Very aggressive man, with no control over his emotions. BIG red flags if you ask me.
@@futurez12 Doesn't matter. She deserves better. Assuming that you're right about her being scared to fail him, then her silence might have also been out of fear, like being scared that he'd blame her for not doing a better job of protecting the car and avoiding arrest.
Either way, if I had her as my GF, she wouldn't have to worry about trying to protect my vehicle from being towed. Even if my vehicle was at risk of it, I wouldn't ask her to risk arrest to prevent it. Maybe ask them if they could give me a few minutes to get there, or if she could be allowed to move it. But definitely not trying to get in the way. A towing expense can be disputed (not guaranteed to win), but trying to dispute her charges would be more difficult, and it wouldn't change the fact that I'd lose her for a few hours. (This is aside from the torment she'd go through in being arrested and charged, etc.) Not worth it.
This all just pisses me off. Wait until all of you pay property taxes. What's happening here is the police are thieving these vehicles then ransoming them off for a release fee. The whole situation is ridiculous. A parked car causes a young woman to become a criminal. Why not put a ticket on the car? Why is there a police officer available to assist parking enforcement. No cars pass on the roads in the whole exchange. The police officer already waited 30 mins. If he had used his discretion and waited 10 more mins , one car could have been recovered to the driveway leaving one car to be towed( possibl) net result, a young woman now has a criminal record ( for life) Lovely world we have all designed. Well done.
It's an unfortunate situation. However as the cop said, he tried to reach the owners for 30 minutes. They didn't respond, then he ordered a tow truck, they were already loading the vehicle. Too bad for the owners and it really sucks, but at that point it's too late the tow truck can't be cancelled, once they are towing, they are towing and the fee will have to be paid. Concerning the girl, it is not up to her to disregard police instructions. She wilfully disobeyed a police officer and obstructed him in his duty.
@@williamwallace410 The car was parked on quiet street not creating any danger as officer falsely declared. For all time of accident no single car passed so towing was overkill. This officer was in bad mood and created problem from nothing. I agree he could just leave ticket on windshield but he preferred excalation.
No plates on a public road. That's why.
Just answer the door
I would be very surprised if this would ever happen in U.K. The cars are not blocking anything and although even in the U.K., they should have number plates when parked on a road I’m fairly sure that most police would be more accommodating once they can prove the owner (via the girlfriend). They certainly would not be towed. Sure the GF and owners behaviour was silly but the whole encounter seems like a massive waste of police time for no ones benefit.
undeniable that the guy was a piece of shit, but the cars being towed because they were in the street with no apparent indication that street parking isnt allowed was a serious overreaction. as someone who works on cars myself there have been times where my car has stopped just outside my driveway on the street. looking at the property you can see these guys are into cars and prolly work on them. the missing plates can mean the car was just recently acquired. there was no real reason for the officer to tow those cars and it was a crazy overreaction.
The car wasn’t registered my guy, and it was parked on a public road obstructing other drivers. Since the car had no plates all he has to do is run the VID to see if it matches any current registered vehicle which it didn’t. He tried warning them but no one answered. Kind of hard to feel sorry for the owner. Officer was justified, case closed.
Since when can you just assume you are allowed to park on any given street? LOL
I thought the cop was being very unreasonable here. This didn't have to unfold the way it did.

These kids are not criminals, the PIGS made them criminals.
But they aren't criminals.
This is a good reason why even law abiding young people fear and dread the police. Criminals do not fear the police the police fear them. Look at the CONTEMPT these cops had for these young kids. It's palpable. I hope they sued and won. But such is probably not the case, the pig turned that young girl into a criminal with very little effort. He cared NOTHING for her or her rights. She was insignificant to his singular goal of snatching up those cars for the towing fee.
This is why young people hate the police.
Why not put a citation and a warning on the windshield of the two vehicles? Why the storm trooper tactics descending upon the home when the owners weren't home?
If the girl were not there the owners would reasonably assume their vehicles were stolen, which they were in a sense. By the local police department. Snatched up and held for the purposes of extorting a hefty impound and towing fee.
Criminals on bodycam indeed. But in this instance the cops were the state sanctioned criminals, not the young people.
