    I learned from my construction company...people who call from advertising are price shoppers, not clients!! 👍👊

    Dude, I don't know jack about plumbing, never care to, and your channel is great. Love the raw energy, very authentic. I'm watching a plumber work a whiteboard for entertainment. LOL, how cool is that? Only on YT. Keep climbing, man. Top notch, I look forward to the next one. And yes, (since the last commenter mentioned India, to trend your other episode Indian people are awesome. Totally agreed and I'm white)

    Another great video! It appears that when you ask for help with pricing it’s some kind of trade secret and people want money to coach you. Then I found Brasshouse! This guy doesn’t bullshit and I’m learning a lot from the videos! Keep it up man!

    Hey dude I’m loving the channel. Master plumber from Utah here. Keep up the videos , you are putting out great info. I also have recently opened my own company and it’s cool to see someone else going through the same shit. Any interest in residential new construction? Why or why not ?

    • @brasshouse9822
      @brasshouse9822  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@RostenMcArthur I would do like a one off custom home or something, but I’m not gonna try to go do a development. I’m pretty sure the only way you’re gonna make money and residential new construction is if you do hundreds of houses. If I went that way early on, I could see it but at this point, I don’t think it’s feasible unless all my other work dried up and I had to find work quick.

    • @RostenMcArthur
      @RostenMcArthur หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Makes sense. I’ve only do residential new construction since I’ve been in business. Half is large high end homes , the other half been small tract homes in volumes If you are quick you can do well. Thinking about trying some light commercial eventually

    Good video, I like your content. I myself is one truck and a helper and I do flat rate pricing for residential service. I price for two trucks vs just mine.

      @@chandlermickey1720 with residential I flat rate to a degree but I add value. If you add more stuff to the job the price goes dramatically down.

    I’m in the masonry industry. Should I be itemizing all my quotes when I send them out to clients?

    • @brasshouse9822
      @brasshouse9822  หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      I don’t, but I’m prepared to. The bigger the job the more I need to. I recently sold one for about a quarter million and it’s taken a lot of transparency on my part. But it’s definitely not something I just do. I really emphasize building relationships with customers. Two of my biggest customers usually already know what I’m going to charge because I’m so transparent about it and bid so much work for them.

    Bro. Your example shows a 70% margin using the example of a sales price of $10700 and costs of $3200… that’s literally the margin all the home service gurus like Jared marrow preach about 😂

    I know you probably don't give a f, but as an advise, do a video and smoke after.. i smoked for 12 years, haven't smoked for a year, and even though i don't want to smoke, i don't like seeing a dude sucking on a cig in every video. No idea why I'm even typing this comment, but if it helps you boost viewership - you're welcome i guess

      I quit like 2 days after I made this video. Haven’t had a cig in over a week. I switched to vapes so it’s not much better but I appreciate the nice comment all the same.

      @@brasshouse9822 great to hear, thanks for sharing. Vapes are crap too, but that's a start, i tried quitting first in 2018, tried switching to vaping, Nicorette, zins, etc.. Ngl, always felt shitty to do all that, in 2023 decided to go full turkey, after my vape broke. If you can withstand 15 days of depression, after 2-5 month you'll feel joy.

      The hardest thing i had to do, but the best decision, because i don't have headaches, anxiety anymore, and don't feel shitty when waking up. My dad is trying to quit too, but he wants to do it 'for his kids' but that's not the right mindset. You do it for yourself, because you want it, not for somebody else. Good luck
