This the first platinum trophy I got for an open world game , the world is ridiculously beautiful + the combat is fun and the story was engaging .. sucker Punch Never Disappointed me
I just want to put a disclaimer out there: Brian Altano does NOT speak for the gaming community especially when said most of us expected lock on for the combat - not me. From Jedi fallen order to AC Origins and Odyssey I always play free form and never lock my camera on anyone. It makes the fighting feel more natural, dynamic, and fluid. I think Brian’s a great, kindhearted guy but this I strongly disagree with.
Actually I do think most players DO want a lock on for this. I personally am ok without it. The camera can still get annoying when there's props around. There should be the option for lock on for those who do want it.
@@ronbertlomarda1398 I like RDR 2 for its masterful writing and attention to detail. The gameplay can be slow and repetitive sure and Arthur walks like a 90 year old man but that game is damn near the most engaging history lesson ever
The haiku is one of the most useless activities ever in a videogame, yet someshow I have to do one when I see the mat. Thanks so much Suckerpunch for making this game.
Just have to give you one of those A-Ok signs with my hand. Your game is incredible and just thanks for entertaining us all for what sounds like 45 hrs or more. Nice job Suckerpunch!
Things they should add in the next patch 1- meditation like the witcher3 to control time 2-new game + 3-make it harder to run and escape from enemies especially if they are on horses and make something like chasing with horses. 4- remove the cutscene and loading during a standoff .
I was playing red dead prior to this and one thing that I really noticed was that the beauty of the world almost didn't matter half the time because of the mini-map. I tried turning it off but the game can't function without it. Then comes this with the wind mechanic and practically zero hud. It made wandering around so much more enjoyable. Best hud since Dead Space.
I look at the Samurai because they were the artists of their time. What I think struck me when I read Bushido is compassion. 'If there's no one there to help, go out and find someone to help.' That hit me, because that's the way of life it should be 🙆🙆🙆 Samurai films, like westerns, need not be familiar genre stories. They can expand to contain stories of ethical challenges and human tragedy. I have to buy this game yay!!! 🙌🙌🙌
The thing is that it's historically inacurate. Bushido is probably more of a late 17th hundred to 18th hundred romantization of what Samurai were really like. Kind of how chivalry is also a sort of after the fact concept for european knights.
@@Quotenwagnerianer Correction, the term Bushido was first used in 17th century. The concept however was already an ideal to attain to by the 11th century, of course the code of Bushido was very different and vastly refined by the time the 17th century had rolled around having hundreds of years of development by that stage.
This by far the greatest game I am Enjoying. I always wanted be a samurai. As horrific as that is. Honestly we are all weak and could Never actually do these things
i hate samurai's coz the armors looks ugly... im more of a ninja and knights guy coz the armor looks cooler. But this game too beautiful. im almost done platinum this game.
Yeah letsdown all those other games that have mini maps to big this one up. Why can't two things be true? Why must be down something to praise something else. I didn't hear anyone complaining when Spiderman just released.
I hope there will be new game plus and it would be much appreciated if skipping cutscenes is possible . Looking forward to patches and/or DLC in upcoming weeks.
The only way I can think of this game being any more perfect is if they add both a robe and sword kit to make Jin Sakai look exactly like Samurai Jack, and add a song for his flute to play the them to the show.
There is a lock on, its very subtle and very loose but it's there. I think lock on as in context with the camera, is probably more of the issue people are having.
To make it more impactful. Jin doesn't decapitate people by pleasure... He does it to frighten the enemies. And what is scarier than to see someone decapitating your leader?
@@BobaVett thats not true. I'm a hard core steath player, just finished TLoU2 on survival not using detective vision, and that's how I usually play steath games. I sustain my opinion!! Although I enjoyed my time with ghost of Tsushima, the steath is broken.
i played on HARD mode right off the bat and the game's too easy. But it's all good coz the game too good and beautiful. I just played the 90% of the game with the Traveler's attire (i'm obsessed uncovering the entire map) and make the game a bit harder. I copied the bonus mission and tried to only use 1 playstyle per camp (ghost only? bow only? sword only? stealth only?). That made the game more enjoyable and less easy (game too easy even on hard mode).

And it must be ridiculously easy.
Never thought a game would top tlou2 in my books but this game does.
GOD OF WAR
Man this is the number one of my list in this ps4 exclusives
Like my top 5 exclusives have to be
God of War
Bloodborne
Ghost of Tsushima
Final Fantasy 7 Remake
Spiderman
@@Lord_Heisenberg nice list 👍🏽
Tlou2 was actual garbage. Enjoyed it. Still compared to actually having meat and something refreshing? No. Garbage.
God of war and ghost takes all.

You are reading too much into this, some fight systems require lock regardless on your preference, others do not.
Actually I do think most players DO want a lock on for this. I personally am ok without it. The camera can still get annoying when there's props around. There should be the option for lock on for those who do want it.
@Preston Garvey LMAO
Ghost of Tsushima is the best open world Ps4 exclusive IMO and is a top 5 open world game of the PS4 Xbox one generation
Glad you said exclusives because it sure ain’t better than Red Dead Redemption 2 lol
@@Suikojunkie I love Ghost of Tsushima, but RDR 2 definitely holds the crown 👑
@@Suikojunkie god of war still the game of the generation
@@tedd.6719 as I love RDR 2, exploring the world gets boring really fast and it can be a chore at some instances when you move Arthur.

this game reminds me of 2000s games when games used to be fun.
It's a real achievement to have your video and audio out of sync by like 60 seconds. Congrats! ;)
Yes wth with the synch
Love the fact you get a new colour for platinum the game

This is so cool, thanks for making this interview happen! Congrats on the game SuckerPunch!! I am loving the game! Love from Japan!!!

Ghost of Tsushima
The feudal drone joke had me in tears 🤣
Got has to be in top3 games among the ps exclusives list.

Decent interview. This game is a masterpiece.
good job produced this masterpiece!
I thought the Creative director for ghost of Tsushima was Nate Fox lol
I think the combat is great that way no need for lock on it would have made the combat boring .

Amazing game love DLC and NG+ but probably working on next generation.
Love this game. Great job 😄
So what happened to Podcast Beyond?
My best game till date is Ghost of Tsushima
better director then Neil Druckmann
Nope, not even close
That's a very low bar

Just got the platinum and came here, really wondering how the ending will affect the second game.
Should of asked him why they made where you can only decapitate one enemy type. Shyt was mad disappointing.
Should have...
To make it more impactful. Jin doesn't decapitate people by pleasure... He does it to frighten the enemies. And what is scarier than to see someone decapitating your leader?
Everything was great in this vedio, except the intro.
The white shirt under the black ghost armor looks so awful, i hope they remove it in the next updates .
People are going platinum at lethal level in a couple of days. It's too easy and therefore dull.
Lethal difficulty is more realistic. Really these battle didn't last long so you take more damage, but the enemies do aswell.
You seem like the kind of person who thinks saying 'therefore' makes them seem smarter than they actually are
This game is a masterpiece. Just please, PLEASE don’t turn into Naughty Dog ever in the future)))
Great game but next time get the F#@£ing AI right. How can I steath game have such a terrible AI.
The ai is great, don't play on easy problem solved.
I didn't have any AI issues through the whole of hard mode.
Hard mode is the answer to that 100%. They can be quite a pain in the ass on that difficulty, and it was faaaaantastic
