onX Offroad Build Challenge Kickoff | Ep1

- Welcome to the onX Offroad Build Challenge!
For the first time ever, onX Offroad puts ambassador teams head-to-head in an off-road vehicle Build Challenge. Each team will get $15k to build a custom rig for a chance to win a spot and rep onX Offroad at Ultimate Adventure.
In this first Episode, each team introduces themselves and their rigs as they head into the first challenge and push their stock vehicles to the limit. Ultimate Adventure Expert, Fred Williams helps judge the stock vehicle selection and gives his early opinions on who may have the best rig going into the builds.
Throughout this competition the teams will be using the onX Offroad App to track trails, add waypoints, and share folders along the way that you can check out yourself. Just look for the "Download Route" QR code!

Bleeping Jeep... Chevy all the way. You have my votes
The main problems with each rig:
Rudy and Hollie: late 80’s/early 90’s dodge automatics quit super easily, the ram charger is big and heavy, the transfer case doesn’t have the best gearing
BleepinJeep: The S10 needs axles, transfercase, and new suspension just to get even with the other two vehicles
Dumpster Fire: Nate has a little too much faith in that little straight 6 motor and a the Land Cruiser is a little bit big and heavy
The good part: they’ll all have a blast building their respective vehicles and I’ll enjoy their content.
That’s a great (and fair evaluation). If there’s one thing I know it’s low horsepower, low gearing and heavy vehicles - I think MM has 180HP, 96 final ratio and comes in at 6800lbs. The Ram Charger is right in my wheelhouse 😂. We might have some motor upgrades planned 😈
@@MischiefMakerTV it’s actually the build I’m most excited about. I have a 94 ram 1500 on tons that I’ve been building and I’ve always had a little place in my heart for the ram charger. Can’t wait to see what you two do with it.

I'm surprised no one tried to use a zr2 blazer give it a nice 2"-4" lift bigger tires and lockers be pretty decent

I know its most likely a vacuum hose issue with the front diff actuator on the S-10. Had that issue on my 86 S-10 Blazer when i got it
Rudy and Holly have the right idea, that size platform is ideal(Ram Charger, Blazer, Full size Bronco) Especially because, in those days, these trucks could bolt in 3/4 and 1 tons with little to no modification. 👍

I'm sticking with bleeping jeep. Having said that if yall need another xj to build I'll let ya'll borrow mine. It don't need much lol. Just one tons, exocage and true four link. I'll be installing my 4.7l stroker here soon! All of these guys "talked" me into getting a 4x4 and I don't regret any of it including the thousands I've spent so far lol. Can't wait to see the outcome of all of this and ya'll keep putting out excellent content and I'll be a subscriber and fan for life!

Having Trail Mater there for recovery was a genius call. I'm rooting for Bleepin Jeep but I'm curious to see how cool that Ram Charger looks after its lifted.

I think Fred and Ian should build a rig but I guess that wouldn’t be fair to the other teams. 😂😂 I like everybody but pulling for Bleeping Jeep’s team though the Ram is my favorite vehicle.

Ram charger is sweet and so is the Chevy s10 but i dig nates rig the most that Lexus LX450 is Awesomeness because its basically a Toyota LandCrusier 80 Series 2:22

I love all these guys I've been watching BJ from the beginning and Nate from the beginning and Rudy and Holly... I do love the charger more than the other 2 vehicles though so I am voting for team Radmis thus far

These guys have so much experience with similar sized builds.
I agree, they are super simple to put a solid axle under the front, the guys probably have one laying around that will work so they wouldn’t need to buy one.
Awesome video!! This is going to be a fun & exciting build series! I'm really looking forward to seeing what everyone does with their rigs. I personally think Rudy & Holly are going to win! Everyone competing are good at what they do, but I'm partial to Dodge & Jeeps. I worked for a Dodge, Jeep dealership for almost 17 yrs. & I owned several Dodges & Jeeps (WJ) durings those years & currently, plus I really like Rudy & Holly. I think Colt & Matt in the S10 will be 2nd, then the Lexus (which really surprised the heck out of me) bringing up the rear. Regardless the final run order it's going to be fun watching!! New subscriber! Thanks!

Matt and Colton should invest in a Posi-Lok. They might be able to get it without burning budget by claiming it is either a UA requirement or maintenance.
