@@user-tt4sh2yy6r - Bran doing nothing? Au contraire. He basically set this up. He gave Arya that dagger. He volunteered to be used as bait. He *knew* this would happen. He didn't do or say anything more than that because, like Doctor Strange in "Infinity War"/"Endgame", it will not happen if he said or did anything that might change the outcome. He was playing 4-D chess. This was the only circumstance the Night King can be defeated. This goes over the heads of a lot of people, especially if they don't like his character.

Kudos to Alfie Allen. He did a magnificent job as Theon. All his scenes on the last episodes are the ones that make me cry the most.

Theon isn't my favourite character, but Alfie Allen showed some serious acting chops in this show. He did good.
@Tacticus Dominus I agree 100% on Sam. With the others (apart from Daenerys), I can think 'well, they are top notch warriors,' so I can use that to excuse it. But Sam still alive? Come on, now. I think they gave him that line last episode about people forgetting he was the first to kill a whitewalker, in order to stop people having that complaint- but nope. He's not a fighter, and should have been killed at least 10 times over. He survived what the Dothraki couldn't?.....
Also Jon....I mean, I get the writers don't want to kill him off (at least for now). But if that's the case, stop putting him in impossible situations for survival. It doesn't build tension, it mainly just pisses me off.
evesapple Agreed. I'm still pissed why Sam is still alive when all he did was cry. He was a liability to the battle. Get Edd killed, had Jorah dragged him to man the walls, had time to cry when everybody's getting killed. He was no warrior, and we know that ever since his first appearance to the show. At leasg he should've stayed at the crypts. Maybe kill some wights there. Also Ghost, I don't see why Ghost was still alive in the next episode. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love Ghost, but putting Ghost in the frontline of the chavalry then getting all the Dothraki massacred but somehow Ghost survived? Also, I think Grey Worm, Podrick, Brienne, Tormmund and Jaime should've died (at least one or two of them), because let's admit it they couldn't even possibly survived when the first stampede occured let the next encounters, I mean those pile of wights coming into them and not even a stab from the wights. Let's say they were just good at combat that's why they were able to survive, but c'mon, that pile of wights coming to fight them only one by one. A lot of soldiers are getting attacked by two or more wights at a time and they're getting killed. I love the show, i love the episode, but i think they're trying to hold the characters'deaths. Sure, maybe in the next three episodes they're going to get killed. Also, the Long Night lasted only one night. Lol. The first Long Night as I can recall, it has been told in the first season that it lasted a generation. Now it lasted only night. Lmao. But I'm not hating the show tho, just an unbiased opinion. I'm still going to watch and support it.

You see, if you try to change your present it can change the future, as rick said theon had to die so arya could attack the night king, it all happened the way it should have, it was their 1 chance in 14 million. (I hope you get the reference)
Kajal Soni but if Theon knew, then why wouldn’t he tell anyone “Hey guys, just kill the Night King and everyone else will just die, problem solved.”? Why did they just make the Dothraki charge right into the battle instead of holding back when they got overwhelmed? Why did they make their defensive position impossible to retreat if they know that the white walkers could easily overtake them?
What I’m saying is this episode created so many plot holes, that most of them make no sense.

This show just became more predictable. Here: Jon will die protecting Daenerys, Arya will kill Cersei, Daenerys becomes queen, Arya becomes the Warden of the North, Tyrion becomes hand of the King, and it all ends happily ever after, BUT THEN WE WILL SEE THE WHITEWALKERS ARE BACK-
What I’m trying to say is now the entire show is going to be way too predictable, when the point of it was everything was uncertain, main characters could die anytime, and we have a tense yet very well made world. Now it’s a fairytale.

Bran was actually seeing all of this happening in the future in that moment, and he knew that Theon was gonna die, and he thanked him before he ran at the Night King. Even Dan Wiss, one of the writers, said this in the 'Inside the episode'.

Bran cannot see into the future. He can only see the past and present everything. He said that he doesn't know if dragonfire could kill the night king since no one has ever tried.
He can see in the future..or atleast have some vague idea about future. In the books, he had a dream of ned stark getting beheaded at king's landing. And he has had visions like a greenseer.

We literally already knew the Night Kings motivations, I’ve been saying it for years but people kept telling me I was wrong. The Children of the Forest created him to destroy the realms of men. It was clearly stated. Bran confirmed it. But people are still out here saying “But he can’t be dead, we don’t know what he wants! We don’t know his backstory!” Yes, we do. It just doesn’t matter. Because the great evil isn’t magic or monsters, it’s us. The Children created him to fight a war, a war with humans. It must end with us breaking the wheel. For peace, we must stop the war between men. Calling it now, it will end with a council ruling, not a King or Queen. With seven to rule and make decisions. George said years ago that more that one person would sit in the throne, but only now it’s all becoming clear to me. This isn’t about good vs evil.
It shows how even during those times humans were causing destruction.

Just watched Avengers endgame yesterday and seeing how strong and powerful Thanos's character was . Now seeing Night King getting killed in a single shot is kinda disappointing. This was such an epic episode and my years watching GOT I was kind of expecting Night king to kill some main character 😂😂

Maybe a bit like infinity war with NK and Walkers inside the godswood area then while Theon is completing his redemption arc Jon kills viserion with help of winterfell survivors and rallies them inside godswood where walkers hold off Jon and other fighters while NK walks towards bran. And despite fighting hard Jon and company couldn't reach bran in time to stop NK and suddenly Arya jumps from behind and does what she does
Maybe the books have a different story leading up to NK death but still Arya killing him.

The night king was created with a dragonglass dagger. D&D said it should be a Valyrian steel dagger that killed the NK, to cancel the dragonglass. But yes, Bran gave Arya the dagger in season 7, knowing what would happen.

Fun watching you guys... E8:03 was perhaps the finest TV I can ever remember...tense from minute 1 to the end. GO ARYA!
I think it would've been better if Theon's final act while on his knees infront of the Night King was to grab out a dragon glass dagger and stab the King. They made Arya into supergirl on this show in the space of a season. Her Wight/White Walker kill count is more than Jon's and Jon has fought the White Walkers multiple times. The Night King wasn't on Arya's list, it doesn't make sense why she would be so focused on killing him instead of defending Winterfell. Theon should've been Azor Ahai. *We would've grieved for Theon differently, if he was the one to kill the Night King.*

No I think she is the one to kill because she has been through the phase of many faces of death! So this was also a face of death and only she got that magical training to do it! But still we have three episodes to see how arya was the one to kill him!

I didn’t want her killing the Night King or Cersei lol. She’s probably one of my least favorite yet favorite characters ever because what is the other fighters purposes if she simply gets all the kills and revenge?
Winter should fall in winter-fell .. that's what happened...and a TRUE Stark should always be there in winterfell..Arya was told to say NO to God of death from first season..she was trained from the beginning for killing God of death..not for killing Cersie ..that job is for the Targaryens - Jon and Danny.. Arya is the only Stark who could have done this..Jon came back from death not for the night King.. that's not his true purpose.. it was the purpose of Arya.. and it was becoz of her , Clegane met the brotherhood.. and if he haven't she won't be alive.. and Bran gave knife to her in the exact spot she killed him..he already knew..also she was trained when she was blind in Braavos to fight in the DARK..(Btw it's was so dark!). And Jon was not trained for any of these..he couldn't have done it

@@gpics900 Agreed, I hated the way he went out and the fact we never really saw him or any of the other walkers fight. IMO Arya shouldn't have even been the one to kill him since she had no attachments to the magic side of the show. I mean, she only just found out what a white walker was like last week (earlier in the night show time). Seems stupid and rushed. Other than a few other nit picks though the episode was great. The first 10 minutes really made me feel like the whole thing was over.
Alex Doyle I mean don’t get me wrong I absolutely love Arya and her development but to build up a threat like the NK & the dead literally since the pilot episode then just have them all die like that would be utterly ridiculous and disappointing
@@superawesomeminecaft Winter should fall in winter-fell .. that's what happened...and a TRUE Stark should always be there in winterfell..Arya was told to say NO to God of death from first season..she was trained from the beginning for killing God of death..not for killing Cersie ..that job is for the Targaryens - Jon and Danny.. Arya is the only Stark who could have done this..Jon came back from death not for the night King.. that's not his true purpose.. it was the purpose of Arya.. and it was becoz of her , Clegane met the brotherhood.. and if he haven't she won't be alive.. and Bran gave knife to her in the exact spot she killed him..he already knew..also she was trained when she was blind in Braavos to fight in the DARK..(Btw it's was so dark!). And Jon was not trained for any of these..he couldn't have done it

When they put up the food at the beginning of the episode I knew it wouldnt be eaten. This episode keeps you on edge the whole time.
