Remember that Brandon did say that he was going to be the bait to draw in the Night King. Lots of folks have been yelling about Bran just sitting there, but I think he was guiding Arya in, at just the right moment. She killed the NK with Catspaw, the dagger he had given her at almost exactly the same spot in front of that tree; the dagger that had started the entire war.
Daenerys is definitely a fighter. All the way to the end for her people. You gotta love her.

Actually she is not a physical fighter. If she was, she would've done something when they were ambushed in Meereen's fighting pit. This was survival of the fittest and she had NO CHOICE. She always relies on other people to do her fighting and that's what was so aggravating. She did however pick up a spear and do something in this episode and I hope she learns something after Jorah's sacrifice. If she does, I'm gonna redeem her.
@@gingerlemon865 Not sure what you mean by physical fighter. She has the spirit of a fighter unlike Sam. She goes into combat on her dragon much like fighter pilots do in a jet. She didn't fight in Meereen because she already had soldiers fighting for her which is what people do to protect someone important. She would have picked up something like she did against her brother if she needed to.

Arya used the Valerian steel Dagger Bran had given her that they tried to kill him with before.The blade she used on Little Finger.
Yes, and she stabbed in the exact same spot where the Night King was created. Apparently, tougher to kill than we thought.
Bran gave her that dagger in the very spot she’d kill the Knight King, she snuck up on Jon in the very same spot too.

I know it feels like one battle but remember this is the fourth time they’ve fought the army of the dead. The fist of the first men, hardhome and beyond the wall, the living got their asses handed to them. I think the hiatus is part of what is making it feel abrupt, but this has been building over 70 episodes. Love y’alls reaction, you’ve got a new subbie!
You are so right … thank you. It was an epic battle that took the lives of some of my beloved characters. RIP to all the Fallen. The name of the series is Game of Thrones and the last 3 episode will undoubtedly deal with the Iron Throne issues … LOL!!! …. PEACE to ALL.

Arya Stark the one who was promised. The saviour. She closed the BLUE eyes forever just like Melissandre predicted, her whole journey and training led to this. She defeated the God of death. Love her so much. Arya is very stealthy and can sneak around easily..u saw that she passed the white walker because his hair move as she was quickly passing.
.also Jon even said to her in episode 1, "how did u sneak up on me" foreshadowing perhaps. And it was Arya's Valyrian Steel dagger that killed the night king not dragonglass. The dagger Bran gave her in season 7, so maybe he knew she would save the world with that.
Also she killed him with the same move she did when she was sparring with Brienne.

Nope. The prophecy has standards and Arya Stark was not born under the bleeding star. Just because she killed the Night King doesnt mean she's Azor Ahai. It's lazy writing that fits shock value and only that. How the hell did she sneak up on the Night King anyway ? He and his followers have hive minds and can see through a thousand eyes. Plot hole.

When Bran said, “I have to go now,” I think he was watching two things: Arya and the Night King. He gave Arya the Valerian steel dagger she used to kill the Night King. Melisandre told her, “Brown eyes. Green eyes....and Blue eyes.” Then she said the line Arya’s teacher told her in Season one. “What do we say to the god of death?” “Not today.” Arya understood what she was saying and took off to the Gods Wood where Bran was. She was probably hidden there before the Night King raised the dead. Remember when Jon saw her again for the first time and asked, “How did you sneak up on me?” He was standing in the same spot she killed the Night King. So I think Bran was doing everything he could to make sure Arya could do what she did. Amazing.And Bran isn’t just Bran any more. He has the memories of the hundreds of Three-eyed Ravens who came before.

Bran knew Arya would kill the Night King even before he gave the Valyrian Dagger to her. He forsaw it being the three eyed Raven. Melesandra also saw it.

I literally dont know why everyone is so against bran all the time and saying things like "he doesnt do shit". Does everyone forget hes in a wheelchair? Bran knew. He gave her the dagger last season. He knew Theon would die, giving Arya time to get there to kill the night king
To answer some of your questions: It wasn't dragon glass that killed him. It was Valyrion Steel (ancient dragon forged steel); the same dagger that was used to attempt to kill Bran in season 1, and that Bran gave to Arya in Season 7. Where did she come from: She's been training for basically the whole show to be a stealth assassin; this was the culmination of all that training. Even in this episode, they made a point to show in the library against the wights that she was more silent than blood droplets hitting the ground. They also showed in 8x1, that she snuck up on Jon in the exact same spot that she snuck up on the night king.

No her training was to a infiltration assassin. They showed nothing to even suggest she had stealth skills.
Bran was warging to draw the Night King to his location as bait so that he could be isolated and killed, he knew what was going to happen

When the Knight King had Arya by the throat, that grinding noise you heard wasn’t Arya’s neck, it’s the grinding of ice. The NK is made of ice. That was him basically flexing.
Also that wasn’t Dragon glass she used, it was the Valerian dagger Bran gave her, at that exact same spot

God. Lol I've watched this episode couple times at least and seen a LOT of reactions to this episode but y'all got me most! Lol the sad music become yours and then when y'all were crying and stuff ugh it got me LITERALLY sniffling! You can see her running in the background of some scenes to the night king, Jon screams at the dragon and she runs past it....
You guys do realize that the entire battlefield is filled with dead bodies right? If he turns back then he would still be running in another group of dead bodies. There was nowhere to run or go so running back wouldn't mean anything.

She stabbed him in the heart. Remember The Hound teaching her where the heart was? She has no idea how The Night King was created. It was an instinctual blow to kill.
@@revx1000 no one has said that she knew just where to stab him to destroy the dragonglass but if fate was leading up to this, then maybe there was a higher power at work leading the hound to teach her where the heart was. The whole point of the arya arc and story is that fate was leading her to that moment and everything she's learned so far was leading up to her killing the night king. I'm not saying she stabbed him where the dragonglass was because she knew it was there and knew it would destroy him, I'm simply saying that she took the best shot she knew of and fate guided her to what needed to happen.
@@siobhansalter6641 I think it was more than fate. My theory is that all the Gods in the show sent agents to oppose the Night King in this battle. Lord of Light had Melisandre as his agent, also Lord Beric and the Hound. Arya was the agent of the Many Faced God/Stranger. Theon was repping the Drowned God. Bran was agent of the Old Gods using the Weirwood Trees. The Seven had Gendry as the Smith, Arya as the Stranger, Melisandre as the Crone, Dany was the Mother. The Warrior was perhaps Brienne or Jorah. I think the Father could could be Davos or Jaime or Jon (if he knocks up Dany). Just a theory of mine.

@@YGoody88 honestly don't know, I remember I read it somewhere which seemed pretty reliable, it was saying something like she was born during the biggest storm in living memory which somehow gave her a magical element of fire immunity. daenerys fire immunity is obviously different lore to the books so it could've just been something the show writers agreed on

Everybody in this episode that fought and died are heroes because they saved the 7 Kingdoms. If these people didn't fight together Westeros would be f*cked so s/o to Jon, Daenerys and their people for protecting the realms of men" when that wretched witch Cersei who is Queen is supposed to be the "protector of the realm" but didn't even send troops to help save the Kingdom's she wants to rule over.

How are Jon and Dany still alive considering they got surrounded by the dead. Dany is no warrior, she should not have been able to survive that despite Jorah protecting her. The dead came conviniently few at a time instead of overrunning them. I mean yay, because Dany's arc doesn't seem finnished. But the plot armor was real here. Why are Brienne Jaime and Podric still alive after being overrun most of the ep? Plot armor. (We need characters we care about for the battle with Cersei after all, so they are keeping some alive to break our hearts later I imagine) And Sam had no more nor less of that on then the rest thats still alive. For now. As for the Mormonts, it's ''here we stand'' not I. And this fight lost 2 mormonts. And they both went down with complete style. Here we stand indeed. House Mormont everyone!

Arya Stark(No One) "The Night King Slayer" served that ice blue bitch ass up.
All those who were brought back by the lord of light died when they served their purpose.....but jon hasn't yet. Its not over magically! Yes arya was lightbringer and took down the NK, but the ptwp will bring the dawn.....dawn just isn't killing the NK...its rebirthing the dragon AA. The reason why the NK didn't die by dragonfire is cause "fire can't kill the dragon". Look at when dany birthed her dragons..3 died to pay for 3 dragons....look at what jaqen told arya "only life pays for death". She killed the god of death....what pays for that?...Life. Arya is pregnant and will rebirth the dragon AA. She was tricked into doing a bloodmagic ritual with a ceremonial dagger in front of a weirwoodtree like how he got cursed to begin with. She didn't kill it...you can't kill death/lord of light...she freed it and will rebirth it...bringing the light back into this world and undoing what the children did many many centuries ago. That was mels mission, unite ice (arya) and fire (gendry) to make lightbringer and rebirth the lord of light. Mel died when that was done. Beric died cause his purpose was to protect arya....the mother of the dragon and the Queen the red women truly serve. Its why mel stared at arya...she is the mother of her God.This was planned from the start. The assassin brought that dagger "NO ONE was supposed to be here". Syrio "boy girl you are a sword". When lightbringer is made it caused a crack on the side of the face of the moon according to prophecy.....arya got a head wound. And according to prophecy dragons come from the second cracked moon that got too close to the sun. Arya is the cracked moon to gendry's sun/son. She is pregnant with gendry's ice and fire baby the little dragon AA reborn. Jon will probably die helping her birth it cause the lone wolf dies but the pack survives. According to prophecy AA gets reborn under a bleeding star (I think thats jon...the ptwp is a blood sacrifice to bring the dawn). This will end with them undoing what the children did, but at what cost? Will jon die like ned..sacrificing himself for his nephew out of love for his sister? Will arya survive this? This shit is NOT over.
Maaike R how is gendry fire? I get that his great grandmother or something was a Targaryen but he’s more ice than fire, same with arya. Your theory is interesting and would kinda be cool, but I don’t think Jon’s purpose is that, I think his purpose if anything would be for Danny, to get her preg, now that’s ice and fire.
