One of the most anticipated episodes of Game of Thrones is here, and we finally have the second part of our reaction ready!
Some info about this video:
The battery in our camera quit on us a few minutes in to the episode. Fortunately two of our friends from Australia joined us for the reaction, and they had a camera as well.
This means that the footage is a little different in the beginning compared to the rest. We unfortunately also lost some of the reaction footage (the part where Melisandre lights the trench), and some blurriness occurs here and there. But hopefully all of that won’t be too noticeable.
As you can probably see and hear during the reaction, I (Sonny) completely lost it towards the ending 😅 What an emotional rollercoaster!
Remember this is not a substitute for watching the actual show. If you haven't seen it, please do so and then come back to the video afterwards.

Just wrote what I felt like after the video, cause for me personally it was a bit extra, doesn't mean though there's something wrong with anybody, I'm just not used to people (especially guys) being soooo emotional. What Bran was 'doing' while sitting there, inert in his chair, was 'steering events so that Arya could get there at just the right time, in just the right place, with just the weapon and skills to finally get the job done. Jon may have had the right weapon, but he had no better chance of getting directly to the Night King than Theon. Bran also knew that the Night King had the ego that would require him to com in and personally kill the last Three Eye'd Raven, as he had been trying to do for thousands of years. He set himself up as bait, knowing that was their only chance of getting all the 'clues' together - Arya, with the Valerian steel dagger, in the Godswood. When he thanked Theon, it wasn't just for coming back and helping to save the Starks, but for buying the last minute needed to get Arya there.
Bran wasn't doing anything. He wasn't steering any events..it was just a dumb moment that didn't make any sense.

Jorah was amazing still got up and wouldn't die until she was safe, his loyalty and love for was legendary
Theon's redemption arc was one of the best writing of the series. His character development was amazing. He finally got to hear the words he wanted to hear for so long and redeemed himself
His death and Jorah's were so heartbreaking. As for Arya and the Knight king, amazing scene but i don't think it did justice for so much build up, tho I won't complain about Arya she's badass.

And yes, even though we kinda knew their story was coming to an end, it is still always heartbreaking when it happens 💔

Theon had such a tragic story. Never knowing his place in the world, yearning for a sense of belonging and acceptance he misplaced his loyalty, made mistakes and spent the rest of his life trying to make things right. He came full circle and died a heroes death while protecting his home and his family. Jorahs death was also hard to watch. He died protecting his Queen who was also the woman he loved and took his final breath in her arms. My reaction to losing both of these beloved characters was pretty similar to Sonnys. Great reaction guys. See you next week.

Yes, even though we only had a few deaths, they were all beautiful, powerful, and meaningful. It was very emotionally draining, but in the good way.

Some folks have 'complained' that this battle wasn't 'long enough', and that it should have been stretched over two episodes... really? This wasn't a 'siege'; this was single massive assault by the thousands of corpses kept animated solely by the Night King's will power, to wipe out every human being in the place, while he finally, personally, killed the being that had been his nemesis for most of his existence. Like the Alamo with a hundred thousand dead undead Mexicans. Remember that the historic attack at the Alamo lasted for less than an hour, and ended with every defender dead.
No one seems to notice when one of the night luitenant turned around. That was Arya passing by like a "cat"!

I love you guy in pink and I'm not even gay. All of you peoples reactions Arya/NK onwards, exactly probably what writers intended. Wish I could have enjoyed it like you. But I was with my wife who was already very grumpy at that point because she doesn't like the writing.
I'm gonna tell my kids that y'all were my favorite ABBA cover band.
The way that I look at what happened to Melisandre is, she was old beyond her years. The magic that she called upon was sustaining her but it was also "using" her up. The magic that she called upon to perform the feats she did during the battle was all she had left and so, with her purpose fulfilled, the magic took her and she turned to dust.

Also remember that that very dagger was shown in one of the ancient books that Sam was translating, when he found that there was all that Dragonglass to be found in Dragonstone.
Bran couldn't do anything. Like the Raven before him, when the Night King came, that Raven knew he would be killed. Bran, if anything, already knew what was going to happen or he saw that events were in flux. Giving Arya the dagger may have been providence on his part but other players had to contribute to fate. Melisandre's presence, for example, was crucial.
That score at the end makes the scene so powerful. Epic

Melisandre 'reminded' Arya who she was, when she told her "What do we say to the god of death" you see the look on Arya's face when she said "Not today"...then she made a beeline for the NK...
That was by far the most intense GOT episode Ever!!!! Everything you guys did we did at my house too!!! Lol we had to stop it a couple of times cause it was so crazy!!!! Great post you guys!!!!

Real man...yes! My Dad survived the front lines of the Korean war, tough man, but he would not hesitate, when my mom and I were watching a tear jerking movie, to do a ridiculous pirouette enroute to bringing us a box of tissues, or hesitate to tear up. Real men know feelings are valid and take nothing from their manliness, but rather add to it.

Theon's death scene was actually done very well. Bran is the memory of humanity. By him saying Theon "is a good man" it was a reassurance that Theon would be remembered by all as a good man. What better assurance before death could there be?

the subtle eye-shift of the night king at 8:40 is what gets me!!! in that split second he knew, he had been beaten. He processed it as she executed.
Yup! He was way too arrogant. Probably didn't even see it as a possibility that he could actually lose. Otherwise he wouldn't have thrown everything he had at Winterfell, we figured. But that eye-shift, pheeeew! He knew he was screwed then and there.

The only thing about the scene in the crypts is that there realistically wouldn't have been much of anything to raise... Ned had been beheaded, and his bones stripped of skin by the Sisters of Sorrow. His father and brother were likely never recovered after being killed by the Mad King, and there's never a mention that Ned was able to transport Lyanna's body back the whole length of Westeros in any condition. Going back any further generations that that, any bodies would have long moldered into dust, even in a stone crypt. In the canon, they all had iron swords across their statues knees specifically to keep them in their graves, and 'raising the Starks', while an interesting plot device, was really 'wrong' in that respect.
Jon stares at the dragon and screams "Go! Go! Go!" presumably to Arya, who he had spotted a moment before. I was wondering why he was doing that until I listened carefully and noticed the previous cut of him he looked in the distance like he saw something (which was Arya).
Damn, that's some good quality. Dunno where you found it, but it looks better than anything I've seen.
My tv was 160 U.S. dollars and is one year old and it looked as good as that for me. I just do not understand why people say it was too dark or poor quality. Was everyone just pirating it? Or watching it on a crappy computer monitor? Cause my second tier tv played it beautifully.

That's not true. Bran literally tells everyone that the NK "marked" him and that's how he would track him. I think he was just warging the whole time in order to use the ravens to watch the battle, follow everything that was happening so that he could make sure it was all going the way it was supposed to, which is why we see him "come back" the moment the NK walks into the Godswood, because he could use his real eyes for the rest

Nobody rehabilitates a character you hate like George Martin. Theon's transition was even more powerful in the books. He reappeared a thousand pages after getting captured by Bolton, but was introduced as a new character named Reek because he never bathed. You didn't know for a long time that he once was Theon. He lived in a state of constant overwhelming fear of Bolton who clearly enjoyed the cringing dog he'd created. I never could have recovered from that. For Theon to be told after what he'd endured that he was a good man from the family he loved the most was soul searing. His death, while sad, completed his redemption, and he'll always be among my favorite characters.
Couldn't agree more. His reintroduction as Reek in the books was masterfully done, I had no idea it was Theon at first! I really miss reading the books, or you know.. reading a new book in the series.. It's been sooo loooong.
I definitely got very emotional watching him go down in this episode 😅

I’ve seen many reaction and read through the comments. A few ppl wondering what the hell was Jon doing yelling at the dragon.
He got up and yelled “go go gooooo”. He was distracting the dragon from Arya so she can kill the NK.
Also that stare down of Bran and the Night King, you can see Bran looks down slightly at Arya.

Sorry, but that's the dumbest fan theory ever. I've re-watched the episode 3 times, there's no way he can see Arya at any given moment. He's just hopeless, sad and angry and he yells at the dragon. That's it. Jon is very brave and a very good fighter but dumb as a doorknob, he has proven that many times.
I don't think he's looking down at Arya, he seems to look at the NK's chest, right where the Dragonglass is in his heart

By the way Jon was distracting Viserion for Arya. He notices something off camera when he’s behind cover. This was when he sees her. Then he lets out a sigh and stands to yell “Go Go Go!” This is him letting Arya know to go ahead and sneak in the Godswood to finish it.

Yes NK blocked those he knew could harm him, overlooked Arya and her mad skills and underestimated Bran's silent chess skills. Yeah. Wow what an experience.

theon deserves the credit for the night Kings destruction, and bran Stark was just the three eye Ravins instrument to get the throne.
