Kicked off Fraser Island 2020 COVID-19

Well what a crazy experience that was!
From spending six amazing nights camping off-grid and enjoying all that the worlds largest sand island has to offer, being followed by three, very intense and strange nights at the Kingfisher Resort.
From the minute we arrived on the western side of the island, we were bombarded with messages, emails and phone calls from friends and family, all giving us the latest on COVID-19.
We were one of the last to leave the Island and it was an absolute GHOST TOWN. Credit to the resort for doing a bloody good job at keeping spirits up and trying to keep everyone happy. I really felt for all workers on the island as the next day they were to be kicked off also (unless they were residents) not able to return until July at the very earliest.
It might actually do the Island some good getting all the tourists off - nature and wildlife can flourish and finally thrive there once again.
This trip is definitely being locked in the memory bank!
