      no if the layer is not to tin. For example i used very tin layer for legs and those areas shrunk but the face, hair, arms, body, skirt are so far intact. I will update what happen with this doll soon, I still have her, after 2 years.

    • @katherinaperezart
      @katherinaperezart  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Queda piedra! si muy facil. Como veras aqui los modelados no son simples, porque son caritas con expresion por ende se necesita de una porcelana que no se seque tan rapido para que me de tiempo para modelar detalles. Al mismo tiempo tiene que ser durable en el tiempo y todas esas cualidades la tiene esta receta.

    Hi can you use Glutinous Rice Flour instead of regular rice flour? I am curious what different rice flour will do for the end result. Also can you tell me how strong this clay is when fully dry. Thanks for a great video.

    • @katherinaperezart
      @katherinaperezart  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      if I find glutinous rice flour here I will try it...the recipe in subject dries super hard, but of course if a delicate piece falls down it will break.

      @@katherinaperezart thanks for the videos. The glutinous rice is sometimes called sticky rice or sweet rice, I think they are probably all types of sushi rice. Hi, I've tried with your recipe. It's easy cause I don't have to cook it. However, my work has some cracks and it may droop a little so I must make a skeleton then cover it with the porcelain. Any advise to make a smoother surface and not cracking?

    • @katherinaperezart
      @katherinaperezart  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Noughts, this recipe works well for pieces without inside structures because the covering layer is to thin by hence it will shrink and crack. I have created a recipe that doesn't crack and not shrinking, I have tested..soon will post it here. The new porcelain is the best for making dolls and cover skeleton with thin layers.
