When I was a teenager I only cared about Louis and Lestat, going back and forth on who's the more beautiful one. I just watched this movie again after many years and Armand was mega fabulous. Antonio Banderas is such a good actor.
I love that Anne just thought "how cool, a theatre of vampire, let's do it" and then it became something really important on The Vampire Lestat. As a writer, I understand that feeling of writing something and seeing it have a meaning and using it later on, no planing beforehand, just raw intelligence and plotting ability.

A system designed to take the last vestige of human freedom and in it's place something truly horrible. The final curtain approaches, how would you prefer to greet it? Entertained or inhumanly mistreated to the point your heart of flesh is numb? Research Adrenochrome Dana and follow the trail. It is why the end really is nigh.

I didn't really like Armand in the movie. In the book he's supposed to be young. And Antonio's portrayal just didn't feel right. : /
I agree; but Armand's personality was played by Antonio in the movie. Maybe doesn't look like Armand, but he's Armand.
The director Neil Jordan thought it would look strange for a teenage looking vampire and Brad Pitt to have an on-screen romance.
