I think your criticism is way too harsh. Brad Pitt is a good (not great) actor; but it's just his looks are better than his acting. And that's the problem. Also with Louie; he's a more passive character so naturally Brad isn't going to try to overtop Lestat. I think brad did an excellent job playing the supporting/complimenting role in this film.
Brad was envious of Tom. Everyone treated Tom like a big star and big deal and he was always the center of attention. Brad didn't seem to like any of that. Plus he was having trouble sleeping during the filming of the movie and all of that almost made him quit because he was miserable.
He (Tom) was absolutely incredible in this movie. Tom is a born megastar. Just look at him in this interview. Everything from his style and the way he talks is just a signature superstar. Simply the best. In fact so good he was in this film that the author who vehemently opposed Tom being cast in the film, published an editorial in the newspaper apologizing for being an idiot.
Three vampire movies that I think are really good but really scary are Interview with the Vampire,Bram Stokers Dracula and Vamp. Now Vamp isn't as good as the other two but it scared the crap out of me as a kid. But also there is this sexy and alluring quality and yet sad all at the same time with these characters. Just fascinating how these actors portrayed these characters.

@PoetsLight I know. Me, I base actors on their work. Their real life, well that's their business. If their work is great, regardless of the strange things they may do in their real lives, well that means nothing when their part in a movie envelopes you completely. Simply because they are great.
@Twilightfey It's funny, because when the movie first came out and the trailers were being shown in theatres, people in the audience laughed when Cruise first came on the screen as Lestat. They just couldn't get their minds around Tom Cruise and his blonde do, but I didn't laugh. I thought that is was smart casting and knew that it would take off like wild fire. Hard to beat the work of this actor. Almost as Cristopher Reeve with Superman.
I like Tom Cruise he’s a cool guy met him once very friendly he is.
see even Tom called it "interview with a vampire"
Whether you're saying "a" or "the", it sounds identical when you say it normally or as fast as he does.
Beautiful Tom Cruise❤. Interview with the Vampire and Rain Man are two of his best films.
Tom KILLED this role! It was wonderful!!! He was Lestat! He is the prototype for this character!!
lmao he looks like if Errol Flynn and Will Turner had a child
I remember this came out when I was 13 and I was obsessed
Thanks for having this up, i bought the dvd code 1 but didn't have these behind the scenes... dunno why. i like it. thanks so much tom rocks as Lestat
tom is sooo beautiful
I think your criticism is way too harsh. Brad Pitt is a good (not great) actor; but it's just his looks are better than his acting. And that's the problem. Also with Louie; he's a more passive character so naturally Brad isn't going to try to overtop Lestat. I think brad did an excellent job playing the supporting/complimenting role in this film.
I heard he was depressed when they were filming but I guess it worked because Louis is supposed to be depressed
Fanastic actor
great movie, great performances.
This movie is great ;)
I love Neil Jordan, and I wished he could direct another Anne Rice movie... it would be amazing!
He did a fantastic job here. Adrian Brody is a great, great actor. So under rated. What talent.
@scarllett81 Agreed, I've never loved him more than when he played Lestat, he WAS Lestat
And yet people are still somehow preparing for a supposed zombie apocalypse.
I'd take vampires being real over zombies anyday.
Brad was envious of Tom. Everyone treated Tom like a big star and big deal and he was always the center of attention. Brad didn't seem to like any of that. Plus he was having trouble sleeping during the filming of the movie and all of that almost made him quit because he was miserable.
It's aria from The Marriage of Figaro composed by Mozart in 1786. I believe it's "Non più andrai":)
ich liebe seine Stimme unübertroffen, man merkt er lebt gesund, treibt viel Sport mit der Weiblichkeit, Danke TC. für deine Klasse Arbeiten
.. he is an awesome villain... we only got to see it a few times, still... so memorable..
He was soooo good as lestat
Three vampire movies that I think are really good but really scary are Interview with the Vampire,Bram Stokers Dracula and Vamp. Now Vamp isn't as good as the other two but it scared the crap out of me as a kid. But also there is this sexy and alluring quality and yet sad all at the same time with these characters. Just fascinating how these actors portrayed these characters.
I watch this movie after watch Deadpool 2.. Indian driver in Deadpool mention this movie and I'm surprise there is such great collaboration of 2 great actors: tom cruise and brad Pitt!! And I'm so regret cause I'm not find this movie earlier!! This is the best vampire movie ever!! Gloomy but so fun to follow, not really horror movie but really satisfied to watch.. love this masterpiece!!
Daaaamn he was so young
Let's be honest Lestat is 100 times hotter than Edward could ever be
Right after this video an Airbnb ad plays for me with the song "I'll never grow up" song from Peter Pan.
@PoetsLight I know. Me, I base actors on their work. Their real life, well that's their business. If their work is great, regardless of the strange things they may do in their real lives, well that means nothing when their part in a movie envelopes you completely. Simply because they are great.
"Claudia, you have been a very, very naughty little girl."
I also knew that Rice would come around. Great book, writer and wonderful adaptation to film. Loved it! Peace. : )
how beautifully said...
damn this is a good look for tom
