After 13 years of emotional abuse over sex by my wife, I now find her wanting sex again and it's extremely hard to think of her that way anymore.

It's got to start with attraction..men overwhelmingly desire women who are classically "feminine" , have long rich hair , warm inviting eyes , a classic " hourglass" figure and a loving loyal personality. Too many women look like creatures out of a horror flik..with red/green/yellow hair , disgusting tatoos all over , 5 lbs. of chains/metal/peircings and have vile narcissistic personalities.

Need prayer, my husband doesn't want me sexually , even if I intiate, he rejects me saying he's too tired. But has time to watch TV shows til midnight. I'm at the end of myself. I stayed after he had cheated fir 7,8 years and now this is how he's treating me. I need him to want to have sex with me. I need him to be present.
Actually in this area he's still cheating you. You have a right to sex if he's able. When my husband was dying he still tried as he was able to keep me satisfied. How is the rest of the relationship? Ask gently if there is a problem. It's a touchy subject.

In my generation sex was a sinful word, even in a pastors home. It was a means to have babies but most newly married girls were virgins and many or most young men only new what animals did on the farm. I our strict southern Baptist home, we were told NOTHING. Most girls dreaded their wedding night, sex was almost forced on the bride, it was for the man only. Pretty soon the wives hated the act and the men did nothing to change that. That went on for generations. Boy, I could write a best seller!😓😓😓🙏
I know by giving my husband sex when he needs it , it helps him to stay focused on me and not stray in his thoughts or become tempted.

How does one serve in love their spouse as described in this video without this devolving into a co-dependency relationship whose hallmarks are low self-differentiation and endless people pleasing, self hatred and bitter resentment?
The love spoken here is God's kind of love. You need a revelation of it before you can do those. Without it, its impossible. I learnt through it that happiness depwnds on you and not what your spouse does. Its a decision.

I have a question. Why do people still have sex? Sex is very gross, nasty, messy, and disgusting! I don't see how sex is a good thing. Why don't humans just remove sex from this world? Women can still get pregnant without sex (there's a lot of ways women can get pregnant without sex including artificial insemination).

My thoughts exactly. Nobody is perfect so this must be a blind spot for him. It takes a truly self righteous pompous mindset to not appreciate “my pleasure” as a way of saying “you’re welcome”. I hope he’s Christlike to restaurant staff and retail workers.
Perhaps you should go back and Re-listen to what he said. He didn't say someone serving Has to say "my pleasure", but he likes when they do bc how someone words their response makes a difference. It's why Chick-fil-A workers are told to say "My Pleasure" meaning it pleases me to serve you, instead of "no problem" meaning I'll do it as long as it isn't a problem for me.
He Never said he Doesn't accept "my pleasure" as a form of "you're welcome".

1 Corinthians 7:1- 40. I think being single is ok if you can control your thoughts, but if you burn in passion for the opposite sex , you should find a GODLY person to marry, not easily done ... but GOD will provide .
Celibacy is the worst a person with sex drive can do, it will be a torture for them as well as impossible to keep pure in the long run. Some have the gift of being single and others don't. Read your bible and study more on the subject as your opinion is not in line with the Word of God.

If you're married, your gift is not Celibasy, and it doesn't mean if you're not married that your gift is Celibacy either. Just supposed to wait for marriage.
If you don't give your spouse sex, and that is in either a man or womans case, you will cause your spouse to be tempted to sin by looking elsewhere. God's whole point is to keep us from that.
Perhaps women who have an issue with not enjoying sex after children should look into all the resources that could possibly help so they can get back their pleasure. There are also women who have a hard time enjoying it before children bc of physical problems, emotional, and spiritual problems too.
