I am a RN. I was prescribed finasteride for BPH. After taking a few doses I read the drug monolith for finasteride and immediately quit the medication. When you are prescribed a drug read about that drug. Find out the side effects and adverse effects. You ultimately take care of your own health,
I've been on Finasteride 5 mg since 2017; my PSA score when I began using it was 9.5 and has declined to about 1.15 over time. I have had needle biopsies and an MRI with no signs of cancer. My question is, can I reduce the dosage to something like 1 mg and maintain the low PSA level?
Is it okay to take a daily collagen supplement with BPH condition, I've been on finasteride for 2 weeks now . But got concerned after reading an article.
I have a few questions. Is it obligatory to always take the finasteride dose at the same time? And why? My sleep cycle isn't stable, and I'm not sure when I should take finasteride. So, when you mentioned that we have to take finasteride at the same time, what would be the effect if someone didn't follow that?
I am using finasteride 1 mg for my hair loss and my prostrate size is a bit enlarged. After taking for more than 2 months it seems my sexual drive is on increased level instead of being down as it was happening a few years ago whenever I tried Fin with very bad sexual side effects like ED which I never had before. However years later I gave it a try again as I didn't want a hair transplant and I am seeing now sex drive has increased and hair is a little denser. Maybe with age things change even with some meds.
Your are doctors but don't even know that finasteride has a plateau effect at around 0.2mg, you are just blasting the Merck study without studying anything else...
Yes.maker of mine warns there's a slight chance of it causing an aggressive form of prostate cancer.what their idea of slight is appears to be left to your imagination.i quit using after learning that.
Natural DHT blocker Or you can reduce the amount of DHT are : Almonds, walnuts, peacans, Tomato, watermelon, mangos Saw plemato is also a natural resource to reduce the amount of DHT

I have been taking 1 mg of finasteride a day for 1 year and it has not had much effect because my body produces a lot of testosterone due to my lifestyle. In your opinion, taking finasteride 2 tablets 1 mg per day together. Or one 1 mg every 12 hours? Which method is more correct?

Do you use finasteride yourself?

Which article, if I may ask? I’m doing research myself to judge whether or not I should start.

Are there any natural DHT blockers like finasteride?
Saw palmetto but it’s very weak. Look into nutrafol

I'd rather loose my hair than to develop prostate cancer due to fenastiride use.
Yes you can. But only take the 1mg dose tablet, not the 5mg tablet which is used to treat BPH.
