Yeah I just installed mine and did the bag as could not get the ribs in. Should have read the comments and saved the struggle. You should redo the video with the bag as it is too easy.
I just washed my Treasure Garden Sunbrella market umbrella with 303 Milti-purpose wash. I removed it from the frame and placed it on a tarp and used a soft brush. It was time consuming. I have a cantilever with O'bravia fabric. Anyone know if it can be put in a washing machine? If so, what cycle and what detergent? Also, can i use the same bleach cleaning solution that is acceptable for Sunbrella on the O'bravia fabric?
Hi Nick, is there anywhere I can contact you? I have an umbrella which has issues closing/opening. It’s been in open position for over a year in a house I just bought. I tried closing it but the string tends to become lose/tight but the umbrella doesn’t close at all. The umbrella ribs aren’t moving. The middle of the umbrellas inside is also hanging off the middle as if it hasn’t contracted fully even when I try to open it fully. Let me know if I can text you some pics somehow.
So I have an umbrella similar to this one and I recently bought a canopy for it from Amazon. Well it doesn't have a zipper and I'm clueless as to how to put it on!
With the canopy being from a different manufacturer it might be tricky. You would have to take the hinge apart and unattach the deployment cord from the runner. Also, the top hole needs to be about 4-5 inches in your new canopy to fit around the frame.
Hi Ed. Here is the parts page for the AKZ. It has all of the parts available for this model casualfs.com/product-category/patio-furniture-parts/treasure-garden-replacement-parts/akz-akzsq-akz13/
We have the AG28 canopy, needs replacing, however, how durable is the non-sunbrella fabric? We've had the sunbrella fabric since the beginning, however, once we saw the cost to replace had a little sticker shock!
The Grade C is still a very good fabric. If you live in the North (NY) like we do we only use our umbrellas a couple of months out of the year. I had the Grade C 4816 Aqua. It was in great shape after 8 years and I only changed it because we wanted something new out there. If you live in the South and use it a lot more I would recommend Sunbrella. O'Bravia is a very good fabric but Sunbrella is the best.
We are in need of a new canopy the original is a Treasure Garden on the arm is a sticker that has Ac25 on it the old one was square. How do I find the right size for ours?
Hi Virginia. I'm happy to help you out with this. Measure one of the long arms (ribs) that support the canopy from the tip where it goes into the pocket of the canopy up to the hub where it attaches to the umbrella. If it measures 66 inches then it is a 11 foot. If it measures 79 inches then it is the 13 foot umbrella. Another way you can do it is to open the umbrella and measure from one side of the umbrella to the other. These measurements would be just shy of the 11 foot and 13 foot because of the pitch in the umbrella. Hope this helps!
Typically, yes. If you are looking to reuse your current base and replace the entire umbrella you can as long as the rotating hub (foot pedal area) has 5 bolts that secure it to the base. The older (before 2012) model has 4 bolts and would not work. Feel free to send pictures if you are unsure.
Hi Mike. I would be happy to help you figure out what went wrong. Treasure Garden has two different models of the 11 ft. umbrellas. The first is a market style umbrella that has the grommet at the top and no zipper. It would go thru a patio table into a stand (not shown in the video). The other is the off set umbrella or cantilever umbrella, which is in the video and has the zipper. I don't see an order under your name in my system. To discuss further please call me at 585-694-4343 or email me at nick@casualfs.com and we can get it figured out for you.

Great video. Thank you for sharing. I've been putting off replacing my canopy. Didn't know it was going to be so easy.
Just ordered the canopy, Nick was Very helpful. My AKZ is 12 years old and should look as good as new. Thanks for your help Nick.
Glad I could help Tom! If you need anything in the future let me know.

I had a tip from a customer to put a bag at the bottom of the ribs to keep them together and would help keep them from popping thru the wind vents

I think a bungee cord or a length of masking tape would do the same thing.

Does the whole umbrella come off and be replaced?

Where can you find the replacement canopy with Zipper. I've been looking on line and could not find one with zipper? ii need one for 11foot canopy.
How would I remove my non zipper canopy to replace it?
Typically, you could just cut it off. I haven't seen an 11' model that doesn't have the zippers though.
the replacement canopy I got form you guys does not have the zipper, just a hole, the one I took off it just like the video?

You didn’t mention how to determine the size of the canvas to be replaced.
Does anyone know if the canopies can be washed ?
You can wash them up to a certain age. Typically, after 5-6 years I would be careful that the stitching would start to come apart.
